Yesterday I bidded and a won a copy of Deities and Demigods. You know the one with the purple cover thats about 20 years old. Yeah that one...Anyway I opened it up and I about swallowed my dice...
The Cthulu and Melnibonean Mythos (Elric, Stormbringer) were missing. WTF!!!! That's why I stop buying food for a whole week (yeah video gaming is a cool job but it doesn't pay very much). Just so I could pay the 20+ odd dollars to have a Cthulu and Melnibonean Mythos in my Deities and Demigods. If there is anyone out there that has pity for a starving gamer could u send me copy (attachment zip .rar pdf whatever works)of these two missing sections to my email @ esotericluv@hotmail.com , I sure would appreciate it.

I'm wondering if bullets would even pierce a dragon's hide without being enchanted. And if the party were fighting an ancient Red Dragon would a missile be similiar to a fireball spell in other words the dragon would take reduced damaged from even a missile hit.

WHAT!!!?...NOOOOOOO!!! That was my next campaign idea.

OR, you could implant a bunch of kids riding on a roller coaster from a modern world into a fantasy world...

Wait, that's been done.

Cripple the Blackhawk?....Hmmmmm. Now thats a thought...
Thanks Fizz.

I'm not sure how this would work...My first thought was that the NPC's and the Black Hawk would over shadow and out shine the PC's. Hey you dumb ass with the sword get back! Let us fly circles around this beast while unloading missiles and machine gun fire from hundreds of ft away. I'm just not sure how the PC's could help. Maybe smooth things over with the locals? Maybe cripple the Black Hawk and NPC's? Have the wizard summon them straight out of combat with everything spent but one missile and some ammo. Kind of have we have one shoot to get this right you PC's hold it off. I would also limit the fuel so the Black Hawk has a window to do this or just be screwed.

I was thinking about creating a scenario where a wizard's summoning spell goes awry-instead of summoning a dragon to fight a dragon, the spells summons a BLACK HAWK gunship and its crew. Thats right I said it,...A BLACK HAWK. The PCs would have to protect the fully equiped crew (NPCs) until they can send them back...What are some tips with merging sword and socery with technology to add a new dimension to the campaign.

I wont' except DONTDOIT as an answer...LOL

Does anybody have an idea of the D&D equivalent to the 'ONE RING' in J R Tolkien's LOTR...

Does anyone remember the Dragon Magazine that had the Anti-Paladin class? This would have been the dragon magazine that was found buried next to several fossils of a couple of neanderthals that were discovered frozen to death playing D&D.

Does Anybody have or know where I can find stats for a BALROG?

Just wandering if anybody happens to have the NPC stats for Zaknafein- Drizzt's father and mentor from the Forgotten Realms novels.

Hey Gamers...
I may be a little late in the game with this but I just had to throw it out there...

Here is a cool site that keeps an indexed archive of Dragon Magazine articles going way way back. If you are looking for that elusive article and just know the subject matter of that article-this is the ticket. Take a look and tell me whatcha think....

The site is called THOLOS
Here's the link:

My group was quite pleased with Cry Havoc from Malhavoc Press. Plenty of options for running small to large scale battles, and it integrates the player character's into the process well.

Varianor This would be a fight where the PCs would be involved with a 100+ mercenaries, men-at-arms etc. in pitch battle against against another force of 100+ creatures. Can you suggest anything for a scenario like this?

Is this a fight where you want the PCs to have an impact on it, or are you just needing a random result? In the case of the latter, I would just jot down a series of modifiers for either side and roll a die. In the case of the former, can you tell us more what you want to do?

HEEEEELP...
Where can an aspiring DM find rules about conducting a large scale "Return of The King " type battle for the AD&D game system...Without miniatures?
