About Earnest Carbrook
Who am I?
I am Earnest Carbrook. I grew up in a small town about a day's ride from Oppara, where my father was an undertaker all his life. Alas, I found no joy in maintaining the business after his passing, so I sold up and began to travel the known lands.
Why am I here?
Over the years I have turned my hand to many things: spent time on the seas, worked for a master craftsman, served in the Taldan militia, apprenticed to a librarian. It seems I am not cut out to spend the rest of my life on just one endeavour, but my many experiences have served me well whenever I have found myself in need of coin. Or when others need help, and have no-one else to turn to.
As I have grown older, my faith in Sinashakti has grown, and now I find a sense of purpose in my travels; wherever I find myself, is surely because of His will. So it is to the Red March that I have been drawn now. Death and madness stalk this tiny village, and while there is yet hope for those left behind, I offer my services to the People's Council that I may be of some assistance.
Appearance
Earnest is a middle-aged human of slight but sturdy build, and while his body is now showing the signs of ageing as all bodies do, his brain is still sharp and his work keeps him fit. He dresses in comfortable clothes which keep out the worst of the elements, and allow him plenty of space to carry a variety of items: tools, miscellaneous nick-nacks accumulated over the years, even a weapon or two, although fighting is a last resort for him. He carries the rest of his items in a large pack.
