About Dylan Arroway

About:
Dylan grew up on a small farm. His family noticed he had an ability to infuse light into objects and started to call him "Dylan the Great". When Dylan was about 10 a cleric of Tulis was passing by and happened to notice Dylan using the ability and read that it was divine in nature. He visited Dylan house and convinced his parents that Dylan should come with him to study to become a cleric of Tulis. Dylan studied and went off on his own as a cleric at the age of 18. He went back to the family farm and found out his parents died in a raid on the farm one and a half years earlier. His older brother and sister left the farm before then and Dylan has been searching for them ever since.

Dylan during his years of travel searching for his siblings has taken it upon himself to help the orphanages in each town he visits. He himself feels like an orphan because he lost his parents when he left to study to become a cleric. A decision he was not fond of, especially since his parents had past on.

Dylan has not found any leads to help him find his siblings, but he has helped a lot of children along the way. He prefers a peaceful solution to all problems but feels people make their own choices and may have to suffer the consequences of those choices.

Inspiring Word:
As a standard action, you can speak an inspiring word to a creature within 30 feet. That creature receives a +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws for a number of rounds equal to 1/2 your cleric level (minimum 1). You can use this power a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

Strength Surge:
As a standard action, you can touch a creature to give it great strength. For 1 round, the target gains an enhancement bonus equal to 1/2 your cleric level (minimum +1) to melee attacks, combat maneuver checks that rely on Strength, Strength-based skills, and Strength checks. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

Beacon of Faith:
Once per day as a free action, you may treat your caster level as if it were 2 levels higher when using one of the granted powers of your domain or inquisition, or when casting one of your domain spells.

Chosen One:
At your birth, your parents dedicated your soul to their goddess. The goddess blessed you, granting you a gift of light to brighten your path through darkness and a fine sword with which to spread her will.

Benefit(s): You may cast light once per day as a spell-like ability (caster level 1st), and you begin play with a masterwork longsword. In addition, whenever light is cast upon this sword, the radius of light and its duration is doubled.
