Greetings everyone .... I am making this threat with one purpose only .. to thank my players This guys are amazing and are making all the work i have put to the campaign worth it .. Nothing is more awarding to a dm really than their players being engaged in the campaign thinking about it all week .. wanting to play every week and runting when we cant ...So i just wanted to thank this guys and share with you people their journals .. I have 5 players 1 Cleric of Erastil 2 kitsune sorcerer 3 human rogeu/swordsage 4 Elf Ranger 5 Elf warrior ... the party started at a very different composition but thats how we are right now . I will post only 3 of the journals here because the other 2 are in our native language and you people wont understand a thing :P :D

We are playing a post apocalyptic version of rise of the runelords of my making .. Its not Rise of the runelords any more BUT IT DOES contain spoilers for it!!! You have been warned .. so we are at the start of chapter 4 and this is what i have . The story wont be quite clear but i think you can understand it . THEY are all first time players !!! Anyway .. Have fun reading this things ... And post your thoughts about them .. It will be a great reward to hear what you think . Thank you in advance

Greeting everyone ! i am looking to create a new Character and i need some advice . I want to make something like ZORO from once piece . I want a swordsman that trains for years . fighting without any armor . Training for so many years he has surpassed the bounds of the natural world and can do thinks that are well...Magic .. like setting his sword on flame etc

Are there any classes that would be even close to that ? If not has anyone ever though how to make something like that?

Greetings everyone !i am in dire need of your help ! Let me get started .

I have decided to give my rise of the runelords campaign a slight twist , giving how much my players LOVED Naulia and her story i am planning on making her the primary villain of the story , after the first encounter with her i want my party to try and hunt her down . She will be the one setting thinks in motion in every book , she will be the one sending aldern to the Brothers of seven that help her ... She will be the one requiting the Ogres etc . What i really need help with is dropping hints of that fact . i want my players to feel like she is always one step away from them and they cant reach her .

In that mind i have decided that she is trying to resurrect Alaznist instead of Karzug . I will convert all the greed to wrath and i think i am ok with that . But giving that i want her to be the ultimate villain and not Alaznist, i will give my players the notion that runelords are of immense power and if they are released all is lost .

so all in all i would love some help with some thinks because my mind is starting to overflow

1 anything specific i need to watch out for when converting anything from Karzug to Alaznist,
2 How do i tell my players that Naulia is behind everything Without someone telling them (they don't always survive )

It helps that one of my players is an Assimar paladin .Long lost sister of Naulia . How can i capitalize that?

Also in an entirely different matter . Anyone knows any good story-campaings evolving thief and assassins guilds ???

Okay... This post isnt a question or anythink just a funny story that i wanted to share with you guys . I run ROTR with a party of 4 . a Hack n slash paladin with a pretty brutal greatsword . An amazing roleplayer and sorcerer . A gnome bard that after every sesion writes a little poem . And a quite forward Cleric After ( to my great disappointment ) they killed the quasit REALLY easy . i decided to have some fun with them . so i changed the effects of the fountain on top of the shrine . When the other 3 sat behind and rested the paladin went up the stairs alone and saw the fountain . So like every reasonable man with 8int he decided to put his have in the purple water ( i mean why not ...DUH ) Failling his Will save i decided to make him frenzied , enraged .

Meanwhile while the cleric was healing the sorcerer a kind of familiar scream went up in the air . Jumping from above the paladin took a swing at the cleric .. Natural 20 .... Max damage ... lets just say that his head now decorates the chandelier on the room.. Before i can lauph with the face of my players . the paladin says realy realy slow . "holy @!*&%&^!@ mama " ..... "i have got cleave" ... so an other roll went down.... aaaaaaannnnnndddd . 20.... the sorcerer is still searching for his bottom half . the gnome seeing the fate of his 2 comareds starts running . at that point the paladin trys to bullrush him . His roll is 1 and i decide to make him fall and take some damage. the gnome seeing his chanse to kcock him unconcius takes a shot ... NATURAL FREAKING 20 with max damage! the paladin is dead !

from that point on that gnome never EVER trusts anyone writing song about the betrayl of the paladin and activly trying to take down all churches !

Anyway. i felt like sharing this . I hope you had a great Lauph as we did

Hello . We are starting a path in 2 weeks and the players have started showing me their characters . 1 of them has made a strix rouge with 9 intellect . so what is the problem ? a strix doesn't speak Common unless he has enough intellect to learn it .. how do i deal with this?? do i just tell him that he wont talk at all? this way he will get bored really fast cause he will not take any role in the role playing . and an other think ... "Your party walks in to the bar and you have a flying demon looking guy with you ...." How do i deal with encounters in villages and cities?? i really doubt that any guard would let this guy in any city and having in mind that i plan on running the rise of the runelords ( in which encounters take a major role ) what should i do .. thank you for taking the time of responding

HEllo everyone! i have been stalking for quite a while now and after 1 year of prepearing i am ready to start dm-ing:D i have done way too much pre-work for m encounters and all i have made cards for every npc letters and on.. i even have made little maps out of paper but unfortunatly i lack the talent and they are not so good . so i would like to ask if anyone has combat effective maps of places like the glassworks or the catacombs of wrath because i cant seem to find them anywhere . i ahve bought the map folio but it doesnt help so much ttaking in mind that i will play with miniatures..

any advice would be welcomed to.. thank you for taking the time reading the post:)
