I was looking through a bunch of old Pathfinder stuff I worked on years ago and got to reminiscing. I miss doing fantasy character illustrations and want to do more. As much as I enjoy doing the corporate illustration work, I loved doing Pathfinder characters and monsters. So, to help keep creativity flowing I am going to start doing humorous fantasy character designs again.

If you are interested, check out the info over on DA. They make great avatars, wallpapers and more!

Keep in mind, they are shoved in there with various other illustrations I am working on. And still flushing out the concept.
But hope you dig em.

Thanks, Drew! I got a good laugh from your comics. Cthulhu is a much more awesome "Monday hater" than that hack Garfield could ever dream of being. :)

HAHAHAHA.. thats is way too funny! Thanks.

I have been working on some Cthulhu related comics lately and thought I would pass them along here. Hugo and some other have been encouraging with it and I hope you dig it.

I am excited for PArt2 of the Cthulhu announcements! If you are going to GenCon, look out for the new Cthulhu T-shirt!

OK, back to a new Cthulhu based comic strip I am working on.

Again, I can't get the link thing figure out.

You really should figure out the link thing. Not being able to do it is making me think less of you.

Nasty, I am trying.lol.

What is the trick? Regular places I post just have a link button.

Thanks for posting the link. I could not figure it out.lol
And yes, Paizo should be, it is offered on the site!!

If you are heading to GenCon, look for a book called Cthulhu 101. I did the cover and interior pics. it will be first available at GenCon AND you can order here at Paizo.com store. There may be another GenCon special coming up for it, but I will know more MOnday.
The image on the paizo.com is pretty crummy, but you get the idea.

I am excited to see this. I did the illustrations for the interior and cover.

I am an avid tattoo collector. I only have 15 tats. Finger, hands, one sleeve, arm, back, stomach, neck, side of head and legs. Always can have more. Two memorable ones, my wedding band and one to celebrate my son surviving cardiac arrest at 13! Otherwise, all my ink is just for fun.

Love the ink, and from where I am, not enough time or money to invest in them. Daaaaang.

I think the sketch jam will turn out to be a pretty large event all by itself. But I am not sure I wanna go if that Sean Reynolds clown is going.

REmind me to tell the story when I popped him in the head. I about wet myself laughing so hard. ( he really is one of the funniest guys I have ever met, even for a racist badger!)

I am looking forward to meeting up with everyone.

So, you guys have all the art you need?
Still time for anything else?
d

DOH! I just found out about the zine today, the 16th! Poop. Missed the deadline.

HA! Ya just can't go wrong with monsters! Keep em coming.

Good thing you did not come in today, I was looking at punching you in the face.. again.

Go with a small amount of instructions. A tiny little line maybe at the bottom of the sheet near any legal mumbo jumbo. It isn't rocket science and pretty much, if you can't figure out how to cut around something, you might not want to be using sharp objects. Maybe you could add something about asking your parents first!

lol.

Please help me with a RPGSS comic strip! I'd love to make one :)

Well, it better be. That would make a for a good Friday!

Ok then! I am just saying....

This stuff is cool. Even if you don't use them, they look bad A$$ just sitting on a desk at work. We have samples here at the office and I love them. I can see why some people might have concerns over the production of them ( IE, single/double sided, color/non color, and whatnot), but just make em anyway and I know people will eat them up. But don't get caught up in what everyone wants. You won't please everyone and you already have a killer product.

Now, just do it!

Hey hey,
Some of you know and are "fans" of mine on facebook. I just started a illustration page there and wanted to thank those who are already fans, and invite others! If you dig the mini monsters I think you might dig this.

Thanks,
Drew

Thanks man. Much appreciated!

Posted a new Cthulhu image this weekend. Disclaimer, I am NOT a fan of 2Pac at all. Just thought a Cthulhu play on words would be fun so I built the illustration around that. Hope you dig it.

Ha! Cool stuff Drew.

That's a rather familiar looking wizard near the bottom of the page too...

Yeah, and I am stoked Tony animated him!

YO! I can't tell you how much fun I am having doing a juxtapose of Cthulu in pop culture.

Christophe Swall did a great job on the illustration!

Thanks for the kind words. And yeah, I need to update my info. Please keep checking back to the blog. I am going to try to put out some shirts and whatnots soon. But right now, am playing with zazzle.com. Not sure if I like me or not. Thanks again!

Haha, thanks!

Hi,
I am the lesser know Art Director (living in Sarah's shadow..lol) here at Paizo. By day, Ad, cranking out stuff from Modules to Maps. But by night, I am pushing my illustrations! Think fantasy art, but on Cartoon Network. You may have seen some of my work in the designer notes for the modules ( or my avatar). In fact, doing those monsters is what helped me get back into illustration. I dropped it for a long time playing WOW. But gave that up for what I think is a better calling. Still miss my Shaman, but oh well. I get a better sense of accomplishment when I post new illustrations.

SO, if anyone here is kinda bored, you can check out some of my latest work at http://azcop.blogspot.com. The there is even a little animated clip by Tony Mosly of Zogonia fame! He was kind enough to animate my wizzzzard! <----- Ok, I just read that and it sounds strange.

Would love to hear what ya think!

Just saw the proof set from the printers and am very happy how they turned out.
Glad you dig the art.

Well, I am sure if you looked out there in the vast reaches of the internet, you can find a copy.. cheaper.
d

Ok,
2. The Pathfinder logo was done in "Saber".
d

Glad you dig it!
1. A nice font family called "ScalaSans". A staple font here at Paizo.
2. Not sure what that font is but will look through the font vault as soon as I can. It was turned to paths so I can't tell.
3. They are available, but not cheap. Google ScalaSans and look around, some place may have it cheaper than fonts.com at over $300.

Thanks!
