Silver Crusade

Guys I'm sorry to say that I will not be able to start this, nor will I be able to post for a while, personal life is soon gonna be getting in the way. I may be able to restart this later, but for now I just don't have the time. I'm really sorry I know how disappointing it is to make a character for a specific game and then the gm disappear but It can't be helped :/

And just as a disclaimer, anyone who wants to take my idea and run with it, have fun, that's all I want

(My email is tromboneguy69@gmail.com, kik is Paladin0000, hit me up sometime)

This is likely my last post on paizo for a while.

Again I apologize, my heart is heavy for the inconvenience I give you.

My your blade be ever at your enemies throat, and your end be glorious and explosive,
Dragonfire

Silver Crusade

Philo pharynx, ur classes are gunslinger and monk so why do you have panache abilities?

Silver Crusade

I personally love the magus class, thats probably my favorite class beside gunslinger

Silver Crusade

Yea that sounds fine

Silver Crusade

Ooh I like, pathfinder zoey, once I get the homelands posted I'll work with you on a backstory sound good?

Silver Crusade

Also if you have the gold and such you may do pre game crafting. Post the rolls though.

That goes for all roles, health, gold all that, post them.

Silver Crusade

Starting gold is as listed on ur class. No traits/ drawbacks simply bc at the moment I'm still in school and to busy to tackle studying it.

I'm sorry a spire defender? Is that a class? Lol I'll have to look it up

Silver Crusade

@nohwear, it seems like a pretty smooth combination, while one gives you the looks of a beast, the other gives you the genetic capabilities of one, so the two don't contradict but rather blend. Nice combo.

@pixie rogue(love the name) okay so pick two classes, you have all the abilities of both, including class skills and proficiencies, however, rather then simply combining bab, hd, spells per day, and your saves, you pick which ever stat is higher. As for prestige classes, you still can't start with one. I think of it like this, ur combining two classes onto one with a ton of abilities, this is your class, u can take levels in other classes and/or prestige classes, but none of them will be quite like yours. So for instance you could be a rouge/fighter 3, dualist2. Does that help?

Silver Crusade

Elaborate. What specifically is your problem

Silver Crusade

Alright guys after reading through a bunch of pbp gameplay I think I'm ready. I'm officially opening this thread for reacruitment to this campaign.

what I need right now:
I want concepts, your ideas for characters, and his place in a party, you can give me a general backstory, this can be as genaral as you want, I'll be posting more on homelands later. If you give me this right now I'll be happy.

character build:
I accept all core, base, and hybrid classes,(anti-paladins private message me), and all common, featured, and uncommon races, though I'll probably only accept one uncommon race unless you give me a good reason. I don't do character traits or drawbacks. But all racial feats and alternate traits are a go.

30 point buy, gestalt, and potential for mythic if you can earn it.

You get an extra feat for gestalt.

I think that covers build, any other questions ask me.
Oh yea and your starting 3rd level, almost forgot.

In this campaign I'm gonna do my best to challenge you mentally as well as in combat. I have a good group of friends that I bounce ideas off and help create riddles and mazes, so be prepared for some crazy stuff. I like to keep things a little interesting, and at times I'll just flip through the bestiary and take random monsters out for a spin.

Now if you've read the beginning of this thread you know about the geography of my world, and depending on your homeland you will get certain bonuses. Such as; proficiency in a certain type of early firearm(pistol, blunderpuss, musket, it's specific, you can't choose a whole group like "single-handed firearms") if you were raised in Numara, or the favored weapon of your chosen deity if you were raised in Palidor(for those without a favored deity, you simply choose a weapon). Tristinians gain a favored enemy because of all the monsters that come from the godrends. And so on. I'll have it all formatted later. For now, I hope you enjoy my world!

I generally take on parties of 3-7. I will however go as far as 10 if I think I can handle it.

Silver Crusade

Also as a suggestion gypsy, consider a monk magus. The two mix well

Silver Crusade

Btw I'm not one to copy right my ideas, if you guys want to spread the idea for power crystals and emblems around it wouldn't hurt my fealings, it's a good idea.

I've found that players tend to get attached to their weapons, but as the enemies get stronger and the need for more dmg out put is needed, old un-enchanted weapons become novelties. I made the power Crystal for this reason, and for the fact that I like the idea of a hero building himself from nothing to everything with only his own help. Like I have a human gunslinger that, in game, forged himself 9 pistols, built up a business, and, on his own initiative, took control of a gang of outlaws and created a dragons guild for gunslingers. The power crystals and emblems allow players to build what they want without having to hope that by chance they get what they want or something similar to what they want.

Silver Crusade

@gypsy I listed under the power crystals an item called emblems that do what your looking for, use it on a weapon with the proper weapon enhancments and it will give it the enchantment.

Sorry I havnt been on in a while, I'm in the process of graduating, and I'm running this campaign with some home gamers to iron out some details. So I'm pretty distracted, but I think I get the jist of pbp now that I know that the dice are rolled on the page and players can't just say "I rolled a 20 bro he's dead, yea trust me it's definitely a 20, no sorry I already closed my dice app" cause it's happened to me -_-

Silver Crusade

Also, this is my thread anyway so I wanna test this format thing out.

perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 71d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Cool!!! Okay that explains alot

Silver Crusade

I may have too lol, it sounds awsome

Silver Crusade

Gunslinger monk? That's interesting....I guess a bonus feat will be okay. As for the link, I will do so, if not a link then I I'll do something, I'm not really computer saavy

Silver Crusade

You know I have yet to look into either of those classes, I might as well if people are gonna use them.

Silver Crusade

Annoyed that no one seems to be paying attention to him, Cedric picks up his hat and finds a seat, dodging the half-orc as he passes watch it you drunken brute he walks on and sees the wizard, and an opportunity, he approaches him and bows taking his hat and offering the inside, a grin plastered on his face alms for the poor?

Silver Crusade

It's not recruitment yet, I'm gonna try and get some pbp experience before I start being a gm

Silver Crusade

I thought I covered that, if not I apologize, I follow the pathfinder Pantheon with one addition, Gideon, patron of adventurers, favored weapon rifle, and domains are wind and fire. Alignment LG.(used to be a character, he became a mythic divine source and all my players started looking up to him, so now I just kinda use him as another god) anyway in short, I follow the pathfinder Pantheon.

Silver Crusade

male Aasimar swashbuckler 1

The Door bursts open with a blinding light, a man walks in, at fist it sounds like he has spurs but the u see his jacket, and realize it isn't a jacket, it's wings, metal wings, folded over the man's chest, he has a rifle on his shoulder, a pair of revolvers on his belt, and a rapier at his hip. As he puffs on the cigar on his m out he examine the room, finds a table, sets his hat down, and leans his rifle against the table, he looks around the room briefly and sits, and only when he sits do, and the halo dims do u realize that this guy literally had a halo. The man looks around, and proclaims I am Gideon, and the devilwill surely tremble at a collection of hero's such as this then he grins grabs a drink and chugged it laughing

Silver Crusade

Basically means "in short" or "long story short"

Silver Crusade

Too long didn't read, sorry. And thanks.

Silver Crusade

Hey I passed this thread a couple days ago and didn't think much about it, but recently I started an interest thread with an idea, and got a lot of positive feed back, so I want to you know get started, but I've never played pbp, and I need some expirence with the style before I start gmming a pbp, so I figured since your doing short sessions I could get my foot in the door and actually get some expirence,

TL DR, do you think I can join you guys for just a bit?

Silver Crusade

Thanks Aneirin, I appreciate it

Silver Crusade

Alfrazar, it's good too hear, I've put a lot of my lack of a life into building this, as you can probably tell by the detailed history, a lot of the more interesting histories are based off campaigns me and my friends did.....which reminds me...if you happen to find urself fighting gold encrusted zombies of various races......there's a Dragon nearby do my first character (and my friends first characters)a Favor and kill it (~>__<~)

Silver Crusade

Sorry..... Hit the submit button by accident.

Aneirin, I don't want you to waist your time, this isn't a recruitment thread yet, if you want to make one just for this I'm honored but keep in mind that I dont even know if I'm doing this soon, I'm still figuring out this whole pbp thing

Silver Crusade

I guess I could live with one post a day, I'm hoping to get in a pbp soon, because I'm still new to this system. I don't really understand how it works yet. PvP that is. I guess I could start sooner, but you'd have to deal with a gm that's asking as many questions as you are.

Nohwear, I wish I could give you a good answer, but truth is I like to shake things up, sometimes I literally flip through the bestiary and say ooh this will be fun. But if ur gonna narrow it down to a general type, I'd say go with either magical beast, undead, or monstrous humanoid. Sorry I couldn't help more :/

Silver Crusade

Woah, just saw all the questions,

Aneirin: no, just gestalted, what I meant was that you can earn it, the how is shrouded in mystery, but if u impress me enough by committing some great act of heroism, killing a mythic monster(I will throw them at you now and then to shake things up) or just role play like a boss, you may earn ur way to mythic.

For instance. Your friend got stabbed in the back in the street at nigh, he was a hero, and your best friend, you give a heartfelt scene where you kneel by his side and scream into the air....then after a few minutes(or after burying him) you get pissed, get up and proceed to find the man who did it, he's guarded by a band of goons, you March in and start kick in but, get to the guy and beat the living snot out of him, break his arms and legs, and drag him by the head to a roof or other high place, and shove him against it, then you proceed to tell him in expressed terms why you are going to kill him, and just when the recognition dawns in him, you throw him over.......or you don't. At that point I would reward you with mythic status. It maybe that some god watched you and was like beck yea man show him whose boss, but your actions have separated you from the herd and now ur mythic.

Silver Crusade

Okay so, on one side is Albion, Albion is a mountainous continent, split by a mountainous range known as the Godrends. In the south is tristinia, mostly plains and forests, they are shepherds and farmers, their people suffer from harsh winters but survive because of their wealthy harvests.like I said corruption is in the air, everyone suspects each other of foul play, and you can hardly trust your neighbor for fear he will declare you a witch, and the "inquisitor s" burn u to death. Or worse, banish you to another plane. All forms of arcane magic are considered of the devil. So casters of tristinia beware. In the north is palidor, a grand paninsula, it almost looks like a collection of islands from all the well, peninsulas, I guess it's more of a delta, but anyway, palidor is dotted with temples and city states, but it all rings around one temple that sits on a great mountain. When not called to war by this temple, the city states are either fighting eachother over petty debates on their deities, or fighting off the irrepressible orc/goblin population coming from the Godrends.

This is Albion, once a great empire, now split in two.

Now,

Cuacoon(coo-ah-coon)
Cuacoon is a magic continent, and it's erratic land mass suggests the same. In the center is an enormous forest known as the Green sea. Named for the powerful winds that whip the tree tops, and create waves of leaves that literally look like a sea storm of leaves. To the north, is the blighted mountains, here live the majority of the dwarven kingdoms, who unite here in a common cause to hold the blight at bay beneath the mountains it splits too separate lands, the west side is completely uncharted, none go there, it is assumed the blight originated there. In the west is numara. Numara was born of immagrants from palador, who grew tired of the land where time stood still, and new ideas were rejected out of turn, in numara they made a new home, where they traded with the dwarves, and discovered gunpowder, and invented firearms. They do their best to survive, but also work hard to fight off pirates that plague their home.

In the south is Arcania, where our campaign will start if I do it.

Arcania was born from immagrants from tristinia, where unfortunate souls that were born with magic powers were killed on the spot, and knowledge was rejected in favor of ignorant trust. Indeed all forms of knowledge are welcome here, including religious knowledge, there are even a few temples, but mainly it is a place for arcane magic users, the first pioneersventured into the green sea and created Castle Pheyonix(fey-o-nix) which became the first official college of magic, now though it is closed, and there are many schools of magic for a young student. And finally there are a few societies in the green sea. It is home to the kingdom of elves in the western part, a legendary monestary too the treetop monks, and a shire of hobbits, it is also home to many uncommon races.

And also there is a collection of city states between the green sea and the blighted mountains, known as the Bordertowns. One of them, a close guarded secret mind you, but one of them is a safe haven for half-orcs, dhampirs, tieflings, and what have you, those races that are....unwelcome anywhere else, can find a happy story here. It's called Crowsis(crow-sis)

Hope you enjoy my world

Silver Crusade

A fighter swashbuckler? I assume it's for the feats. I'll do my best to get you what you need. Are you looking for an actual picture or an imagery/concept that you can work with.

Hmm, at first I thought to just toss him in with the pirate colonies, but for what u want I'll suggest tristinia. That kingdom is controlled by a patriarchic government much like the Vatican, corruption is in the very air. Anyone who isn't with the church is a heretic. My original inspiration for the kingdom was the Salem witch trials, so, yea. Maybe you can work with that? One way or another you need to end up in Arcania, which is actually perfect if your from tristinia, you see....here let me give a geography lesson

Silver Crusade

Well it's great to see people are interested, I'll leave it up a day too see how many people like it, and then I might put up a recruitment thread.

Too let me clarify for those just now seeing this:

30 point buy

Any class(antipaladins private message me ;))

Any race(no customs)

Gestalt&mythic(you have too earn mythic)

Start 3rd level

Silver Crusade

I like expirenced players, but I don't like jumping in with a bunch of power, so I usually let them start at 3rd level, gives them a good taste of the class right off the bat. I have seen the gestalt around and I'm considering adding it, as for mythic, I'm one to assume that greatness is thrust apon oneself so if I think you've achieved something great enough, or the story needs it, I will make you mythic(of course this is pending a private discussion on formalities)

I go with a 30 point buy, excessive, but people like dynamic characters, the range is no lower then 8 and no higher then 20 before racial modifiers. Also I'm working on certain buffs based on ur home kingdom. For instance, some one from numara is automatically proficient with one type of firearms Where as someone from palidor can choose a deity and be proficient with their chosen weapon. Still working on tristinia and arcania though.

Silver Crusade

To give a little more info on my play style I'll give some house rules.

Power crystals:I could never figure out how to add weapon enhancements without finding them with enhanments built in, so I created these little buggers. They typically glow purple with the same range as a candle, and are very rare, but they bestow enhancements. U can use a power Crystal on a mwk weapon or armor peice to give it +1, but to get it up to +2, u need 2 and so on.

In short. +1=1pwr Crystal
+2=2pwr Crystals
+3=3pwr crystals
And so on up to +10

Emblems: enchantment made easy, these things are even more rare then power Crystals, but they work similarly, use it on an appropriate weapon or armor peice and should the item meat the requirements it will take on the enchantment.

Both of these are consumable items, when used they crumble up and become virtually useless, all though it can be used as a byproduct for alchemists bombs.

Silver Crusade

Cedric breaths In the fresh air of the street, people bustling by with no worries other then the common life.is a nice change from lonely travels, none to talk to, and no food to eat the thought of food set his stomach growling, and with narey a copper in his purse he looks around for some way of procuring food, and sure as day there was a tavern in sight, he hefts his pack and walks over to the bar whilst dragging out his trumpet the rusty Dragon? What kind of queer name is that?? O well as long as they have food on the way in the door he tips forward his hat falling off his head and landing with the inside up and ready for gold, then leans back in one smooth motion and sets forth a drinking song, stumbling past his hat abit and then back against the Wall like he was already drunk

Silver Crusade

@Giovanni

sounds like fun, I havnt gotten anything from him, but I'm pushing my human bard Cedric for this, and it'd be nice to get in some rp with him

Silver Crusade

Well really all I ment to ask here was if people are interested in playing in an unpublished world, maybe it's a stupid question but it's the one I asked. As for campaign style, If I run one it will be Pbp, I like parties of 3-7, I accept all the core, base, hybrid, and prestige classes, as well as all core, featured, and uncommon races. All though I generally like to cut down on number of the two later lists(featured and uncommon) but anyway

The first campaign I was going to run involves the players being sent into the green sea (a massive forest that from the sky appears to move like a waves) to investigate strange occurrences coming from the first college of magic, and snow balls. This campaign actually leads into another of my campaign ideas.

Silver Crusade

Hey guys, I've been online maybe 3months and have as of yet not gotten in a campaign, so I figured I might as well try out being the gm. Now don't worry I'm not just some sap that said o I'm gonna gm, I've been a gm for home games for about 2 years. Which brings me too my proposition.

I've made my own world, consisting currently of about 2 continents, 4major kingdoms, and varrious collections of pirate colonies and island cultures between and around the two continents.

What I'm asking is would players be interested in playing in a world that isn't published, I created it out of necessity because I could afford AP's or maps or anything like that, but this being online where most of u have the published stuff, I wasn't sure if people would take to it.
The kingdoms include

Palidor(a religious society similar to Greece, but with a governing power that takes control when the country is threatened or there is great evil to deal with.)

Tristinia(derived from the Latin word for "truth" it is anything but, it's a cutthroat society of lies and deceit, with a king totally understand the thumb of a ring of "demon" hunters)

Numara(semi-industrialized kingdom, firearms are the norm, and is very similar to USA during the civil war)

Arcania(magic society of intellectuals, the only kingdom to boast an official collage of magic)

Excited to see your comments

Silver Crusade

I have yet to look into the slayers class, I have a tiefling magus to throw into the mix, and as for paladins I've found that starting as a paladin isn't as literarily(not a word but I mean "as concerning the quality of the story") rewarding as starting something else and becomeing paladins, paladins that have trained to be a paladin their whole life are usually shortsided or ignorant, and the few who are what they are ment to be are weaker as emotional beings because of their lack of expirence outside of their sheltered paladin environment

Silver Crusade

Well my dhampir wizard is already built at level 13, if your willing to consider him, I know your adversity towards the featured races.

Silver Crusade

Everyone is choosing hybrids with weird races so I'd like to push my human bard Cedric, and give some ground to the group, he has his share of healing spells and makes the group stronger, including a feat That allows him to add 1d6 sonic dmg bonus to all of his allies weapons.

Silver Crusade

Hey Mathpro, I'd like too submit a character for this campaign, my offer is the same as in your rise of the ringlords post, so if u want my aasimar gunslinger for this one I'm in, but like before I have everything

Silver Crusade

Thanks, have fun you guys hope I get in Somthing soon

Silver Crusade

I don't own any actual merchandise, no adventure paths or campaign books, all I have is a masterwork reference book app from the Google play store, it haseverything to play a game, but none of the lore behind pathfinder, so I'm always worried I'm like behind on something or that a certain class isn't allowed.

Silver Crusade

Oh okay, thanks I appreciate the answer Taenia

Silver Crusade

Too late to toss in my lot?

Silver Crusade

Hey is it too late to join in, I'm starting to become a fan of yours mathpro

Silver Crusade

Gideon has the kind of demigod out look, sure maybe there are God's, but what have they done for him, nobody ever helped him out and he never asked for it, he's fought and struggled for everything he's got, he's arrogant at times when he's sure of himself and when he isn't he's ecstatic at the prospect of a challenge. That said I'm a team player so all my characters tend to be totally loyal and defensive of their friends.

Silver Crusade

A Fellow Aasimar! You know I almost never see anyone use aasimars, and it's always either a Paladin, some other divine spell caster, or a lawless jerk, I mean I know its a race geared towards those themes, but it'd be cool to see someone go completely out of the way, like (god forbid) a law abiding, religiously neautral alchemist aasimar.... Sorry if I'm waisting thread space, just thoughts

Silver Crusade

Shrikirri-Quah? Is that a race? I've never heard of it
