"But, FiiiSHY!" Dibble cries out in a voice usually reserved for teenagers towards their uncool and unfair parents. He looks down at his glowing shield with a pout, thinking of the missed opportunities for impressive heroics. "Thanks, though." The disappointed knight says to Erzuuk, before trudging off towards the door to explain what happened.

Dibble nods at Erzuuk and scampers after him "Save some fun for us, Fishy!!!"

"Ah! Skunk..." Dibble draws his spear and attempts to impale a skunk as he jumps up and down of tip toes "Don't spray me... Don't spray me... Don't spray-" And runs off towards the less threatening hag.

Dibble spends his downtime dramatically re-enacting his heroics, and singing songs of his prowess until, finally, people give him coins just to get him to go away.

Dibble nods in agreement with Erzuuk and Josh and heads out to find some treasure.

Perception, Bonus: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 + 2 = 23

Dibble looks around "Wait?! There's rescuing to be done?" the young knight rolls up his sleeves and heads away from Mr. Glovely towards the chests "Make room for Dibble!!!" and proceeds to help Erzuuk with the lifting.

Dibble let's the others talk to the poor guy as he gets terribly distracted by the pair of floating gloves, trying to shake their hand.

Dibble composes himself and runs back into the action "Chaaarge!!!" He yells as the young knight flies into the swarm of rats, shield raised and batting them away.

Dibble screams heroically as the rats swarm over him "Aaaaagh! Get 'em off, get 'em off!!!" and lashes out with his shield, trying to brush the furry little monsters off himself and squishing as many as he can as he runs (equally heroically) away. Phew! That was close... I almost lost my composure.

Is there a tablecloth around? We can do it the old fashioned way and throw it over her head, then several of us run around with ropes like she's a maypole... Dibble could even provide music or singing for the situation :)

After twenty minutes of reading... READING!!!, and all for nothing, Dibble is at the end of his rope when Aslynn shows up. "Now stop right there!" He steps forward with shield in hand, then strikes the most heroic pose he can muster "You shall not pass! This place is protected by..." The young knight flourishes his shield, spinning it between both hands and behind his back as he pirouettes into position "Dibble, breaker of shields!"

Thanks for the healing! That fresh produce seems pretty powerful. Not even a 10 minute cool down. Admittedly, I'm new to second edition, but I thought people had to rely on non-magical means for healing now.

"Don't despair, Dibble is here!" The unlikely knight tries to reassure poor Rain, "What we need is a plan..." Dibble sits down on the floor, cross-legged and munching noisily on one of Fishy's fresh mangoes. Refocus for the first 10-minute activity.

After some time, Dibble jumps up "Got it! We should search the vault!!!" He exclaims, heedless of the fact that the rest of the party are likely already doing just that. He takes a potion from Rain, and with one more word of heroic reassurance, rushes off to see if he can find anything interesting.

Dibble has few skills, but will try searching scrolls for whatever he can find in area 7 Religion: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

After five minutes running down the hallway, Dibble returns to the group, and Rain, panting "Dibble almost made it! Just needs a longer run up." As the young goblin catches his breath, he looks around at the vault, and it's boundless wonder "You think we've been cursed?" he asks, thinking about creepy demon mask he found on the bookshelf.

Dibble does as encouraged "Snarl!" baring his teeth as he leaps forward for his counter attack, putting all his weight behind his shield bash. "Wait... Where's Rain?" he asks after a quick glance around, then presses the attack with another bashing before raising his shield.

My shield wasn't raised, I just drew it in the last round since Dibble was in the middle of climbing on shelves and didn't have it out :)

Dibble scampers further down the stairs "Kormandil! Get up, we're under attack!!!" The furry paladin licks his palm and slaps it onto his fallen comrade's forehead with a thwack and a squelch (Lay on hands, heal 6hp and +2 AC for 1 round). He then draws the shield from his back and readies himself for some shield bashing fun.

Exactly! Dibble has a sense of drama, if you save people before things are dire, how would anyone know you really saved them :)

"Don't panic, Dibble will save all!!!" The young goblin knight yells after the others as he scampers behind his comrades.

"What happens if they're dangerous? Or summon something from the deepest hells? Mostly harmless... usually turns to be mostly harmful!" Glenda says.

"That's why the call up Dibble!" The young knight-ish proudly proclaims "If there be danger, Dibble will protect you... Even if there be no dragons..." He adds, a little sulkily. He pokes at a few things on the table and asks "Dibble has never heard of this hag before, can you tell us about her? Might need to protect folks from her in the future." He adopts his most heroic of stances once more, trying to impress on Zarta just how useful he might be to the society.

After Zarta leaves - Skill check time!

Dibble isn't too keen on reading, but he does notice the word "Danger!" In large letters and decides that that is where he, the great knight, must be. "Here Dibble comes to save the day!!!" And strides off towards them with the intent to bravely climb the perilous stack.

"I'm not sure you can kill wonder..." Dibble states as he follows everyone into the vault "Only inspire it in others, like Dibble does!" The young, enthusiastic goblin greets Rain and Zarta with a salute. Unlike his orcish companion, Dibble is lightly equipped, just an old spear slung over his back, behind a well cared for round steel shield. "What can Dibble do for you? No task too big."

"Well... Maybe there be small dragons?" Dibble protests "Either way, Dibble really wants to see dragons! It's what we knights do. Slay dragons, rescue humanoids in distress... Damsels, Mansels, or non-binary Thamsels, Dibble can save all!!! Multi talented, Dibble is"

"Dragons? This will be exciting!" Glenda says.

"Oh yes... Doubt they'd call Dibble if there were no dragons." The young knight confidently confides in Glenda.

Dibble nods along, standing just behind the seasoned orc "Freeing captured humanoids is a speciality of us knights!" he says proudly as he reassumes his favourite heroic pose "'specially if there are dragons involved."

Dibble nods at Kosh "As you should, as you should!" he says happily, seemingly unaware of any skepticism/sarcasm. As the band starts to come together along their walk to the Grand Lodge, he waves back at Zhander "Sorry, Dibble can't stop for autographs now... Important work to do protecting these fine folk." He gestures towards the old orc, who knows the way.

A goblin wearing a well polished breastplate and well pressed pantaloons arrives and put his hands on his hips, adopts a wide stance, and flicks is head up towards the side. "Be not in awe of Dibble! Dibble is like any normal citizen... Only with extraordinary abilities." The large shield on his back has some kind of heraldry painted on it, but nothing you recognize. He extricates himself from his heroic pose to great his fellow Pathfinders, humbly assuring them that he will protect them with all the might of Arqueros. "You're all safe with a knight like Dibble on your side."
