Background:
Left behind as a child in Xendrik when his parents' expedition was destroyed to the last individual. Found and taken in by a Drow, he grew up fighting for his life while helping his 'stepmother' explore. it went on this way until he discovered his parent's journal in his savior's belongings. Fleeing in the dark of the night, he managed to make it to port where he got working passage back to Sharn.

Once back there, an uncle informed him that his sister had also been on the expedition and had not been found in the remains of the expedition. Feeling that she was still lost in Xendrik, he found an expedition returning.
