Game Notes:

Sorry I didn't have time to tell you this in person, but I have a favor to ask of you new Pathfinders.
I'm not sure how well aware of Absalom's history you are, but there used to be a, now thankfully defunct, form of punishment called the Charge of the Gorgon. The guilty party was released into a section of the city with a gorgon and allowed to try escape. Most of the people were ultimately petrified. Among those numbers was a Pathfinder who was found to be smuggling an old Azlanti relic they'd found in azarketi, gillmen, territory. The relic was seized by the city and has since then been returned to the azarketi.
However, the mission was done at the behest of the Society and we should take care of our operatives. So, after a long legal back and forth, I finally got permission to un-petrify the agent.
This is a bottle of greater salve of antiparalysis and is to be only used on the woman I've included a picture of here.

Gorm, finally not in the spot light and expected to try countering this tale, steps down and pulls the two dwarves and Loka aside, and torads the refreshments table. "Thank Torag I never thought I'd get him to leave me alone long enough to get some more food. Anyways, you came at a great time, I was looking for a group of pathfinders to handle something for me. There's this house in the Precipice Quarter I recently found out about. Ancient, decrepit, and on the verge of collapse, but the neighborhood has rumors, or so I hear. I went to go see if I could get records and some history on the place, but everyone was loathe to tell me anything. Seems there's some rumor or superstition about the place and they will never tell outsiders about it."

Hs stops and fills a plate of food, before turning back, "Now I was able to dig up that it was heavily damaged by an earthquake in 4698 AR, but I want you to see what was going on there prior to that, as as best I can tell there's been talk of the place for much longer. Also, you should take a scroll with you, I have a couple of options on me, a scroll of disrupting weapons, heal, or magic missile. Which would you like?"

Tavvar Hamavsi, a researcher from the College of Mysteries, has unearthed some esoteric lore and begun experimenting with some of the rituals found within." He pauses to make sure that everyone is following before stroking his chin and continuing.

"Normally we'd never even hear about things like this much less get involved, but these rituals seem particularly dangerous, to the extent that some of her colleagues are concerned about her efforts and reached out to me. I really would like to have a team head out to the Blakros Museum where she's running the ritual and make sure that it's nothing to worry about."

He pauses again and gestures to the retreating Master of Spells, "If you feel there's need, don't be afraid to offer the support of the Society. We could keep a closer eye on it and help prevent or clean up a mess afterwards. I'm sure Sorrina would also enjoy the challenge." Before he moves on, he hands Thalaasi a scroll of paper. "Also, you seem to have the tact to use this wisely. It's a list of people I've built some rapport with. Don't be afraid to mention my name to someone on it to get some extra information."

You can use the scroll to get a +2 on a diplomacy check to gather information about the missions.

Background:

Dengar was born and raised in the Oresniffer clan of Five Mountains, fourth generation miner by trade. The Oresniffer clan had a reputation for finding the best veins of ore, so much so the other clans used to claim they could "smell the ore".

After years as part of a successful mining operation, there was a deal made with an unscrupulous company that took over the operation and reneged on the payments to be made to the clan, leaving them destitute and in search for other ways to survive. A few of these alienated dwarves began to focus on the unpaid debt and started to follow the teachings of Dranngwit, Denger foremost among them.

Vowing to seek out these bad actors to help prevent others from suffering in the same way as his clan, Denger has joined the Pathfinder Society in hopes of mutual support for similar goals. As a member of the Vigilant Seal faction, Denger seeks to uphold keeping what is contained to remain contained, until the debt it incurred is fully repaid.
