Example 1:

4 rays each doing 6D6 or is it 3 rays each doing 6D6?

Example 2:
Scorching Ray + Empower Spell + Intensify Spell @ CL 16

6 Rays each doing 6D6 or is it 4 rays each doing 6D6?
