Hello! I've been reading over a lot of the variant flavors of sorcerers and wizards on the PFSRD and there are many! A lot of these I had never really thought about like exploiter wizard and tattooed sorcerer. I'm curious to see what the consensus is in how the classes stack up against each other as a whole when all of their various archetypes are considered as I've always thought wizards got the better deal overall.

Greetings one and all!

I've been theory building a couple of ideas for getting the most out of an Animal Companion build for various classes. I'm wondering if one could build a Conjuration Wizard with a 1 level dip in Hunter for the Animal Companion (using boon companion naturally) to be better than Summoner.

A friend of mine hates 6 level casters, preferring full caster progression and is more keen on Wizards and Sorcerers (Sylvan being the choice).

Any thoughts or experience with something like this? What about PFS?

Thanks!

Greetings!

I'm working on a Conjurer build and I'm curious if anyone has any experience with Evolved Summoned Monster?

At first glance, it seems decent, but I am not sure how much it helps or when you could actually fit it into a build since it requires Augment Summoning.

Any thoughts?

Greetings! I'm a long time lurker and first time poster.

I'm looking for some advice creating an Elf Wizard (Conjurer) for my first PFS character.

My stats are looking like this after racial modifers so far:
Str 8
Dex 14
Con 12
Int 20
Wis 10
Cha 8

I'm trying to stack initiative without going Diviner.

My plan so far is:
+4 from Familiar
+2 Reactionary trait
+2 fleet-footed elven racial variant
+2 Dex
for a +10 total

My question is, at level 1, how bad is it to go without toughness with only 7 HP so I can take improved initiative (also assuming all of those bonuses stack)?

Any other advice related to playing Wizards in PFS is welcome as well. :)
