Is there any check needed for adding Construct Armor Modifications?

Can 6 caster level crafter without the animate object spell ad this modification on a constract? For example a PC 3 level cleric/3 wizard/3 Mistyc theourge can he add the armor modification on soul bound mannequin? If he can what is the dc needed for the check?

What is the CMB and the CMD for a monk level 4 with this feats :

Crane style
Dodge
improve trip
Fury's Fall

he have Flowing Monk as archetype
and in 4 level he is going for Qinggong Monk (this dont really matter)

his stat is STR 16 DEX 18 CON 18 INT 14 WIS16 CHAR 8

I would like to know what is his CMB and CMD when he is using trip when Fighting Defensively or total defence ?
what is his CMD and CMB when using FoB ?
Can he use both FoB and Fighting Defensively and if he can what is the CMB and CMD?
