Sorry if this is an identical thread, it looks like the website ate my last one.

I was sent an email almost three weeks ago (12/23/08) which said to expect my shipment to be sent in the next week or so. In my account it says that the items were indeed shipped on the 31st of December. Yet I never received an email confirming the shipment and the package still has not arrived yet. Should I be worried, or continue to be patient? Thanks for the help!

I know this thread is a little late, but I wanted James Jacobs to know that I really enjoyed his November 28 blog post about the origins of Treerazer and the Tanglebriar in his homebrew campaign. I especially liked the James' drawing of Treerazer, it made the whole piece come alive for me.

I'd love to hear more about what parts of Pathfinder sprang from Paizo employees' campaigns, and if any other Paizonians are as interested as I am.

Anyone else want more blog posts like this one?

Not that I have anything against Steve Prescott or Wayne Reynolds, as I love those artists' work, but it seems that Paizo is switching around the cover artists of the Pathfinder APs periodically to free up the artists for other projects (such as the Campaign Setting and Gods & Magic for Wayne Reynolds).

When you are no longer using Steve Prescott, could you please have James Ryman paint the covers to an AP? That would make this art fanboy very pleased!

Thanks for your time.

Hello -

I would like to discontinue my Pathfinder Modules subscription. I'm so far behind on reading my other Pathfinder books that I just don't have the need for the modules. Thanks!

Is it possible to get some of Warren Mahy's art in Pathfinder? I thought that his (and Ben Wooten's) pieces for the Savage Tide were great.

Thanks,

David

Hi Paizo -

This is the first time I've ever had to write in with a question about my subscriptions, so job well done!

However, I just got home from college and realized that you did not send me a print copy of the Pathfinder Gazetteer. I am a subscriber to Pathfinder Chronicles, and I should have received the book in the same order as Pathfinder 9: Escape from Old Korvosa. I checked my order history, and it indicates that the Gazetteer should have been shipped at that time. Did you guys forgot to ship it, or is it coming with the next order (including Pathfinder 10: A History of Ashes)?

Thanks,

David

Hi there -

I've noticed that you guys have stopped posting the full, unadulterated covers of each issue of Pathfinder (that is, the neat picture behind the iconics). Is there any way to get Wayne Reynold's awesome artwork? Thanks!

Hi there Paizo -

I was just curious about the status of my order 838216 - it is for several Green Ronin products, and was made back on November 18. I checked my order history, and it still says that my order is pending. Any idea when you guys might be able to ship the books to me? Thanks.

So, are we going to learn more about these people? I'm fascinated by the little tidbits we've gotten so far - the gypsy-like culture, the loose confederacy of thieves... anything more planned for the Sczarni and the Varisians?

Hey there Paizo,

I just read Lisa's letter about the transition, and I'm definitely even more excited about Pathfinder than I was before. The additional crunchy content in each month's book sounds just great - but what I'm also really interested in is fluff.

I want articles that discuss the kingdom of the stone giants, or the ancient empires of the sin wizards. I want to learn about the history of Varisia, the kind of background information that you just won't find within the adventure path itself.

I hope that this kind of information won't be off-limits while the AP is on-going.

I don't know how many people have commented on the new columns, but I just wanted to let you guys know how awesome "Volo's Guide" and "Dragonmarked" are. Keep up the good work Paizo!

Just spent some time re-reading the Downer comics in the past few issues, and a though suddenly occured to me - Kyle Hunter should really try his hand at writing some adventures for Dungeon! (If he hasn't already.)

The things I really value most in an adventure are good characters - villains, neutral parties, and good guys, the whole lot. And Downer is chock full of 'em; clearly Mr. Hunter has no problem in this department.

Whaddya say Kyle? Any interest?

Sitting here listening to some Christmas tunes as I browse the messageboards, I got to thinking about how it would be nice to see some seasonal articles in Dragon magazine. Obviously D&D players come from many faiths (or none at all, in the case of athiests and agnostics), so the magazine should stay strictly non-denominational, IMHO.

Still, it would be really great to see some articles in the magazine that match the season - for instance, some Frostburn-themed articles would work well for the winter months.

Anyone have thoughts about this?

Are any bookstores carrying the Dragon Compendium? I've checked Amazon.com and Barnesandnoble.com, and neither of them has it. Any help would be appreciated!

So I've been following the AoW and everyone's entertaining posts about their takes on Diamond Lake and the Free City. I really enjoy the hard-bitten, Deadwood-style feeling that you get in the AoW, which got me thinking - what books/articles would you use to create a more "gritty" world in D&D?

While I understand that the adventure path that will follow AoW is already being planned (and maybe even created) as I write this, I was thinking that the next next AP could be a journey, of a Lord of the Rings variety. Often, D&D campaigns revolve around jumping from one "random" location to another in the heroes' efforts to thwart the villians. For a change, I think it would be cool if there was a final destination for the characters.

Please share your thoughts on this.

Just thought that the Dragon staff would like to know that I thought this was an excellent article! I've never read any of Ms. Cunningham's work before, so "New Olamn Bard College" was a pleasant surprise. Although I've never played as a bard, they seem to be a really underappreciated class. If you think about it, many of today's musicians, such as Johnny Cash, are (or were, in the case of JC) themselves modern bards. It's refreshing to see a detailed look at these magical musicians.

Additionally, I really liked Vincent Dutrait's artwork - reminds me a lot of Steve Prescott's work, which I always enjoy. If you can, please get him to do more art for Dragon and Dungeon. Thanks!

As a diehard Forgotten Realms fan, I had never really considered another campaign setting - that is, until I began to read the plethora of posts in the Age of Worms threads about the detailed history behind such characters as Prince Zeech and Dragotha - figures that are still mysteries to me.

So... can some knowledgeable person point this neophyte to the best source of information about Greyhawk? Is the LGG the best source of info? Thanks!

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Dungeon 126 just arrived in the mail today! Woohoo! Anyway, the first adventure I read was The Menagerie. Man, that adventure looks GREAT. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't read it yet, but I'd have to say that the onslaught of animated objects looks hilarious. If anyone runs this adventure, let me know how it goes!

Is the Dragon Compendium going to be available in large bookstores such as Barnes & Noble and Borders? I like to browse my books before I buy them. Thanks!

I guess the title explains it all - but for a little clarification, I mean to ask: do you guys email authors who have submitted short articles (like Critical Threat articles) to tell them that you've received the submission, or is that only for adventures? Thanks!

So I've been working on an idea I have for a critical threat feature: a paladin possessed by a powerful fiend. As I read through the Book of Vile Darkness, however, I found that a possessed creature receives little-to-no "stat boost," so to speak, from being possessed.

While I understand that normally it wouldn't make sense for a possessed person to receieve benefits (possession is not, after all, a good thing) I figured that since the fiend and its fallen paladin host have been bound together for such an extended period of time (think centuries), they have, for all practical purposes, melded together.

So, to finally get to the question - does anyone know of any other rules of possession or prestige classes in other WotC products that I can possibly use?

Ha. Long prelude to a really short question. Sorry 'bout that.
