Daven grew up the son of a Cleric in a small country parish. Because his father was often called upon by the church to travel to distant settlements for days and weeks at a time, Daven, his father's only son, was quickly forced to assume the role of head of household. It was due to this burden that Daven's skill with a longbow manifested itself. In order to provide for his family he routinely took deer, rabbits and even the occasional hawk with the weapon.
When Daven reached the age of 13, he decided to follow in his father's footsteps, attending the seminary for three years in the hope of becoming a cleric of Ragathiel. However, in his absence, Daven's family's farm was pillaged by raiders, resulting in the death of his mother and the rape of all three of his sisters. His youngest sister, Sharee, only 13, eventually delivered a child from this shameful union. The poor, wretched child served only to emasculate Daven, a constant reminder of his failure in protecting his family. In the wake of this tragedy, Daven decided to set aside the cloistered robes that his father had always wanted for him.
Now, five years later, Daven serves his God in a different way. With the devastating martial prowess of his handmade longbow, Daven metes out Ragathiel's swift retribution to those that would rape, pillage and plunder. In the heat of battle, Daven can feel the fire of Ragathiel's vengeance coursing through every fiber of his being. He knows that every arrow he knocks and lets fly will find its target and snuff out its pitiful existence. Yet, no amount of evil blood will ever be enough to wash away the shame of his failure in his family's greatest time of need.
