![]() [ooc]How many skeletons are left? Just a suggestion, but it may save time if our Cleric channeled some positive energy.[ooc] Darius readies his sword for another swipe. Ammian, it looks like they may be thinning out. How about a coordinated charge? Darius will delay his next action to Ammian's turn and, if he agrees, he will move into the room with Ammian, engaging the nearest skeletons. ![]()

Yes. I will back out towards the door. Hopefully, my walking in activated them, and they will follow me out to the grindhouse that is our party... My thanks, Lady Jane. Now, let's send these fiends back to the grave where they belong! ![]()

![]() If Jane cures Darius, I will attack, then take a 5 foot step back out of the room. If Jane does not cure Darius, I will retreat out of the room. If anyone tries to pull me out AND I have not been cured, I will not resist the grapple attempt. Back you vile beasts! Back to the Hell that spawned you! If Jane cures me: Attack Roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Cleave Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

![]() A sound strategy, fair Elena. Ammian, you and I take point? As they come in the doorway, we will be the first line of defense while our friends pick their targets at range. What say you? Darius readies an action to attack the first skeleton to come in reach. Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 3) + 6 = 12 ![]()

![]() I, too, wonder about these skeletons. It seems unlikely they would be placed here at random. My guess is they are guarding something, or are part of a trap set by the apparition that sent us down here in the first place. Ammian, my friend, how is your eyesight? Was Lady Jane able to cure your condition well enough to continue? Detect Evil in the room. ![]()

![]() Detect Evil on the skeletons. Darium readies his sword and steps into the room. If the skeletons animate and attack, Darius will attack the nearest one. If it hits, he will Cleave into a second one. To Hit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Cleave attack: To Hit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

![]() I'm not sure I trust this spirit. It seems awfully convenient to blame the "haunting" on a young lad, then enlist our aid in retrieving his "soul." I do not detect any evil on this apparition, but still do not fully trust his motives. There is something here we are missing...Do not take anything at face value. Darius stares intently at the apparition, saying a prayer to Iomedae and firmly gripping his holy symbol. ![]()

![]() If your story is true, then you ask us to find a monster! Stealing someone's soul is a vile act, indeed. Do you know the identity of the base villain who stole your soul? And who is this boy you speak of? Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 Darius offers a prayer to Iomedae for the corpses. In any case, we will see that you and your friend receive a proper burial. Darius will send word to the local temple to come and retrieve the bodies for proper burial. ![]()

![]() Darius draws his sword and places himself between the apparition and the young lad. Easy there, lad. We'll take it from here. INT: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6 Not understanding the apparition, Darius cautiously approaches the apparition. Ammian, you take the left, and I'll take the right. Maybe we can flank the beasty. ![]()

![]() These "spying rooms" are a bit out of the ordinary, and may point to a mortal person perpetrating the "haunting" - but I am not wholly convinced. In any case, we should ask our employer if he is aware of their existence. In the meantime, I suggest we continue our search. Darius makes a mental note of the location of each room, and the rooms they look in on. ![]()

![]() Until the morrow, then. Darius makes his way to the local Temple of Iomedae (assuming there is one) to inform the local clergy of the undead infestation, and to see if they have heard of anything similar occuring in other areas of the town. Darius will also inform them of their impending good fortune (50% tithe of the fee) once the job is completed. ![]()

![]() I agree with Ammian. These things have a way of festering if we wait too long. Darius turns to Arcturus. Do you happen to know who owned the property before Oracain? It's possible the original owner isn't happy with what's become of the property, and knowing his identity may help us exterminate your undead pest. ![]()

![]() I agree with Ammian. These haunts have a way of festering if they are not dealt with quickly. Darius turns to Arcturus. But before we head to the house, do you happen to know who owned the property prior to Oracain? The previous owner may not be happy with what has become of the property, and knowing about him or her may help us exterminate your undead pest. ![]()

![]() Darius carefully considers the merchant's predicament. Undead are not to be trifled with, but the house must be cleansed. If indeed your house needs to be cleansed of undead, it is a noble mission. I will gladly assist you, provided you send 50% of my earnings to the Church of Iomedae. Darius bows to his companions: I am Darius D'Angelus. A humble servant of Iomadae. I am pleased to make your acquaintance, and look forward to working with you all. ![]()
