I love to run weird horror focused side-quests on our end of October weekly sessions. Last year my then party travelled to the Dungeons & Dragons 80's cartoon world, where they fought Venger, Tiamat and actually came back with their magical weapons (Presto's hat as a Rod of Wonder was awesome for a while).
This year, I'm thinking about dropping a haunted house, and I'd love to adapt Malevolence to my players (they are now 14th level). I feel comfortable to adjust the haunts and encounters, but how would you GMs that run this adventure before would strip this adventure to a one-shot? What are the most iconic fun parts of it?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!!
