STORY
Shelquet was always the strange child out of the Drow siblings. She never cried, never complained, never quarreled with her siblings. She was always a quiet child, always content with her studies into alchemy and her fascination with vivisecting creatures. This made her the target for quite a few young Drow, who bullied her relentlessly. The bullying stopped after her tormentors started turning up dead one by one: doused in acid, blasted apart, poisoned, or tortured to death. The only Drow she bonded to was her brother, Quindavotos, who was born at the same time as she. The two were virtually inseparable, even as he delved into the dark arts of the Ritual of Soulbinding, a magical rite used to summon a fiendish spirit which would then be stripped down to its barest essence and used to empower an individual with the energies of the lower planes while keeping their soul intact and free from the bargains commonly used by arcanists. When he needed a test subject, she readily volunteered. The ritual went as planned, although he misspoke an incantation and thus, produced a slight flaw in the results. The essence leaked into her blood instead of permeating her body, a fact that she discovered sometime later. By mixing her infused blood with certain alchemical reagents, she could produce the results, on a lesser scale, that the ritual had intended.
APPEARANCE
5’2, 90 lbs.
Shelquet blossomed into a Drow of cold beauty. Her midnight flesh features sinful curves and her beautiful and majestic face is framed back waist length wavy hair white as snow. Her eyes glow with a crimson light, a side effect of the ritual. Despite her beauty, she has a certain body language about her which pushes most away, a body language that shows her near-lack of emotions and her eyes stare with a cold, predatory hunger at others, as if they were prey to be hunted and killed or toys she wants to play with and disassemble into their constituent parts.
PERSONALITY
Shelquet is a cold, dispassionate Drow mostly interested in her pursuit of discovering all there is to know about the world through alchemy and the slow, steady dissection of living creatures. She meticulously catalogues her findings in a massive, leatherbound folio. She is extremely attached to her brother, Quindavotos, and carries out his plans without fail.
