Force Training:
1.) Force Shield (Force Unleashed)
2.) Force Lightning [Dark Side]
3.) Move Object
Choice 5 for destiney rewards seems likely.
GM:
Spoiler:
Christy has no one to counter balance her insecurities at the moment, and the rejection from the glowie people affected her negatively, she has a sort of complex about rejection, hence the dark side power addition.
Wether she chooses to use this possible new dark side power will remain to be seen. But she will not respond favorably to any others, save Lucen, who she beleives is different.
I went through some life altering events, the broken house was just the tip. A death in the family, a divorce, so many things. I wanted to take the time to apologize for not giving you a "I can't run this right now post", or an explaination sooner.
I'm very sorry, I had something special in store, that I will reveal now as it's ruined, bummer. I had 2 games going at once, your game and another that we're running in parellel. Evetually your actions would cross over and had planned on merging the 2 games. good vrs evil.
Man, that would have been fun to run 2 groups against each other in 1 big tactical game. I will probably revisit this concept and when I do reinvite you back if you'll return.
For now I'm going to take it easy and play in a pbp I signed up for and hope to be back on my feet in a little while. Things are coming back to normal, or at least what I consider normal.
I feel really bad I didn't have the sense to send a message earlier about my inability to continue. I really wasn't thinking about games at the time.

So the roof needed to be ripped off - bummer - but, removing the old roof will give me more space as I extend it out a bit -not bad. So in the end I gain like 20 more feet of space.
10 is enough to rip him from the prone form of Wormfoot and send him into a crumple to bleed to death.
Vera's charge is a lesson in eloquent brutality, a blur of movement and the enemy is down and bleeding out. Worm foot still stirs but looks like he is in bad shape.
Brinkt's magic unerring strikes the spider, rocking it back from Nurk. It stands on eight now very wobbly legs, it's eight eyes darting every which way. Still it stands.
Website is tanked, I think it's unrelated, but if it stays down longer than a few hours I'll find an alternate place to get the map back up. Calling my buddy over at the server place now.
I'll toss it up on a 2nd website I have access too url is Battle Map 1
Vera begins to cast a spell, tracing her bony finger down Crash's skull. Her incantations start low, and quiet, until they grow to a loud roar. And then she is screaming, on the back of her vicious creature. Her magic infuses it's muscles and bones, and it visibly toughens up. Crash's lips curl into a visage of pure menace, and his tail whips about violently. Vera continues screaming the magic words, filling her mount with every ounce of rage that she can muster.
Kicking it, she spurs it into a more tactically advantageous position.
Move to M13. She casts incite rage; a spell compendium spell. I assumed it was alright. If not, it's the last time she'll use it. Basically justs gives her mount the effects of 'raging' as per the barbarian, as long as she concentrates.
Vera: That spell is fine.
I'll move you as soon as your init comes around in case you want to change your move action based on nurk, zork, or spider1.
LEMI: You will definitely hear something odd [Vera's spellcast was noticeable.] But you also notice a spider lurking in the tree line, a big one too. At least 10' long.
Lemi your also close enough to get involved in this fight after a round.
Use the Battle Map to determine where you wish to move and see where the enemy is in relation to your characters. Dark Green are trees, and heavy overgrowth, light green is grassy.
A tree fell on my house/car during the storms last week, so I have been hopefully and understandably late due to this. I will resume posting as soon as possible.
Your dead. sitting in a cold shell that no longer listens to your commands, does not respond to your urgings to live. You are carried after a time to a cold place, a shell made of wood. You are rested in place, and a lid closes out any light.
Confined.
Buried.
So this is the afterlife? Blackness? Quiet? - No you had plans, ambitions, dreams, ...anger?
How long have you slept? An eternity, and you are restless. a voice comes to you after your eternity poises to turn over a new eternity.
the raspy Voice: "Septimus. Does your empty shell stir to my voice, do you yearn to walk the lands once more? Do you seek revenge? Follow my voice, back to the living. Listen to the dark mothers commands, take back your life, server in her name."
Narration:
Entering the Forest, the sun is beginning to set. Small game scuttles out of your path as you enter the increasingly thick forest. The canopy of trees slowly starts to blot out the fading sun, your vision begins moving into dark sight changing things from fading color to black and white.
Traveling deeper into the forest your mounts pick up a smell alerting them to danger. Their growling felt as well as heard by their riders.
Wormfoot: "Look O..aaaaaaaaaaah!"
From your periphal vision you see wormfoot fly upwards lassoed by silken ropes by an unseen enemy, goblin dog and all. Then hear a scream and him falling back down to the ground alone. A sickening crack can be heard as legs snap upon impact and he cries out in pain.
Wormfoot: "Arrr...me legs! Spiders! Spiders in the trees!"
As Ameiko finishes her song, there is a moment of silence measured in heartbeats, thump, thump, thump, and then a thunderous approval fills the inn.
You may have even wanted to stand yourself, but a sharp pain rocks you back into a sitting position. A well placed arrow has found it's way into your heart, it tries to pump furiously and all it has to show for it's effort is coloring your fresh tunic a deep crimson.
You suddenly feel very light headed, thump, The arrow tip rests just above you left breast, perfectly sharp, wickedly black, thump. You look up and Ameiko finally sees what the screams are from, thump... thump...
...thump...A moth outside the window catches your eye, it's wings pumping slowly in time with your heart. thump, thump, slower now, thump...thump...
A bat swoops by an catches the moth in an aerial maneuver just as your heart stops the struggle.
Wormfoot prompts you to get going, and assuming you all do, leads you into and through the nettles.
With Zork and Wormfoot guiding you while trailblazing a path is easily found though the nettles into a small clearing before the start of a massive forest. the trip takes approx 1.5 hours, no ride checks needed at this time.
[b]Wormfoot:[b] Be ready, these forests are unclaimed and home to more than just the wolves. The hobgoblins entered here not long ago, see their tracks here and there." He points to no less than five sets of tracks made by humanoids.
Rolling for Zorks survival as it's an almost childsplay DC, Zork identifies them easily as hobgoblin tracks.
Wormfoot: "They moved with great haste, let us catch up. My familiarity is within the nettles, Zork might be a better guide here into the forest, I will ride along side you in a flanking position, are we ready to do this?"
Performance (singing) Roll: (25)
"Memorable performance. In time, you may come to the attention of noble patrons and develop a national reputation."
It is probably rare indeed for you to have ever heard such a performance.
As the first strings are formed into chords, and Ameiko's voice harmonizes and dances around the music you are fascinated. A tale is told with music spanning the life of a woman falling from upon a high tower and how more than her life was shattered. It starts very tragically, and evolves before it's end from a dirge, into a melodic masterpiece of self triumph and victory.
A waitress standing in awe near a dwarf.: "That was not the song she practiced all week, this was....amazing." She says as tears streak her face.
Ameiko: "Another night for sure, but tonight you my guest of honor, and I would be a poor guest if I were to leave everyone craving the entertainment I had planned."
Ameiko takes the stage and checks her lute to make sure it's in tune. Some of the regulars elbow their friends to be quiet and the first strums of her lute echo in the air.
"Septimus." She bows "Thank you for allowing me to fix this mistake, Come by before dusk settles in. I'll have a table set aside for you tonight as my guest of honor."
If you wish to do anything before then let me know, otherwise here is the description of The Rusty Dragon as you come tonight.
The Rusty Dragon, on the top of the building of the same name, catches the light from the almost set sun making it glow in shades of orange and red. The atmosphere inside is picking up, and it smells like dinner is just getting started as you are catching wafts of the ovens firing up and meat being charred.
As you enter you see a host of people at tables and an empty stage in one corner. A Chelaxian sitting at the bar seems to give you a once over. Looks like a 'bouncer' type. Big muscles, no personality to speak of. The crowd is mostly made up of humans, but there is a Dwarf walking around talking to a boy, an elf with a lute tuning it up for a performance, and someone's dog resting in a corner.
A dark skinned man wearing a law badge, gives you a nod as you enter and gives one more sweep of the crowd then introduces himself as Sheriff Hemlock. He ushers you to a table with a reserved sign and takes it off and pulls your chair out. He leaves without a word after that, but nods to Ameiko behind the bar.
Ameiko comes over shortly after with a spring in her step and smile on her face.
Ameiko: "I'm glad you made it Septimus, can I get you something to eat? That fish I assaulted you with was throughly punished and cooked to perfection if you'd care to try it."
She is angry, chained, she does not like this. Your spirit is greater than hers and you subdue her with your denial.
the DM CHR roll favored you greatly, almost doubling her CHR attack.
The scene softens as you establish dominance.
"You alpha, the pack follows."
delivered mentally: Nightsong will not allow a saddle of any kind, but you get the feeling you wont need one. You can substitute her ride score of 5 as your own while riding her bareback.
Use normal wolf stats, with the exception this wolf can grant a ride score of 5 to it's rider when riding bareback.
Taking whatever gear you need, Wormfoot leads you all to the rope bridge outside of the Keep. The Keep itself is massive by Goblin standards, made up mostly of scavenged ships, woods that washed ashore some eighty feet below, or some other unknown source.
Now that you all are out in the midday sun you can see far and wide the goblin lands spread, nestled deep within a lair of nettles. You currently stand outside the gates of the keep, surrounding by cliff faces all around, the only way to reach the heart of the goblin empire is the long rope bridge set before you.
You all know the special trick to cross, a rope on the side of the keep that can be tied off to prevent it from toppling over with too much weight. Wormfoot has one of the commandos playing a game of Kill Bird tie the rope off so you can cross and untie it after you cross over the whole way.
Wormfoot takes you though a maze like complex made up of netttles themselves. He leads you to the goblin stables, currently stocked with sickly looking goblin dogs starved for attention.
The whine to be let loose from their iron collars that chain them to the floor.
Wormfoot: "Pick a dog and take it with you, don't forget your seats on the wall unless you prefer bareback."
"Brinkt, it is my pleasure to give you that b*$@$ over there." He pointing to a large bundle of black fur, tinted red at the tips.
Personal encounter for Brinkt:
Spoiler:
You are struck with a mental attack, this is a challenge. You possess spontaneous ability to draw magic, it is being fed upon. You find yourself in a lightless forest, frozen in time. leaves falling from trees have stopped in midair. A black shape moves about you as you get your bearings, twin globes of ruby glow at you from the forest.
Ghostly Voice: "Release." A guttural voice echos through your mind. As it spoke your form and the forest itself vibrates, shaking leaves in midair, and distorting the landscape with it's command.
You feel it probing your sense of power, your spirit. What do you wish to do?
She chuckles a bit, but crinkles her nose as she looks very apologetic.
Woman: "I can get that out no problem, I've had enough experience. Why don't you come see me tonight at The Rusty Dragon? I promise I can fix your tunic there, I'll even make it up to you and let you eat some of this fish that I just smacked you with."
Ameiko: "My name is Ameiko, and I run the Dragon, you will come wont you Mr. - " She pauses hoping you will tell her your name.
Here I am! I've been rather busy lately, but I'll get the character details filled out as soon as I can. I wasn't sure from your intro in the game whether he's supposed to be starting the game alive or undead...? (He's Chelaxian, by the way.)
I changed a note here and there, and yes I wanted to start you alive for a day. I set up a quick scenario for you on the IC thread.
I didn't look at your char sheet yet, but if you havent yet put in a quick description of what you'd be wearing/weapons visible.
Elsewhere in the world and time:
For our soon-to-be- Undead character:
Spoiler:
Location: Sandpoint (small town, population 1,240)
Time: Midday, 1 day before the Swallowtail Festival
Scene: A Crowded Marketplace
You are passing through a crowded marketplace in the center of town. Various venders are shouting their prices on wares, many customers are moving back and forth trying to get the best deals.
It is a fine day, there is a gentle breeze in the air from the sea and the sun is high in the sky with minimal clouds blocking it's renewing rays.
You can't help but pause and admire the day. Thats when you get the wind knocked out of you.
Looking up you see what might be mistaking for an angel had she wings, for she surely has a halo. The sun is backlighting her dark hair giving her flowing locks a golden highlight. Her face and eyes are angular and exotic, giving her a beauty few could achieve. SHe rests a free hand on your shoulder with a concerned look on her face.
It is then you notice some of her tattoos. They are just as exotic and vibrant as her, weaving all around her most enticing places.
Woman: "Oh, I'm so sorry! Are you OK? That was so my fault, I was in a rush and...oh I think I got some fish on you. Oh man, I'm sorry."
Once callum gets me his characters name and an avatar set up he can post to the IC thread, his story starts in Sandpoint 1 day before the goblins started.
If possible go to the OOC boards and post any further questions etc. I am in the middle of creating your IC entrance right now and you can post to that shortly on the IC thread.
It takes place inside the Rusty Dragon (Sandpoint.) the night before the festival is supposed to start.
Forsaken PDF in case I didn't link it in this thread.
If you want I can get you text copies of the LM book, or help you if you had a particular style of undead in mind. Though Forsaken is pretty viable, and has unique featurs you could take with it. Up to you.
Ok lets start you off in a prequel alive. I'm going to introduce you in the IC thread as a sideline. Obviously you cant interact with the goblins right as they are off elsewhere.
I'm also setting you up as a romantic interest for a certain popular NPC. Owner of the Rusty Dragon, Ms. Ameiko Kaijitsu. Don't worry if this conflicts with your backstory a bit, you wont be alive long enough to enjoy it. BWA ha ha!
Sorry evil DM plans coming full circle makes me cackle.
Let me know what your name is, basic looks, and what you'd be doing in sandpoint as an alive and kicking individual.
Nurk looks up at the dogslicer on the wall. "Oooooooh."
A knight should have a knightish 'slicer. I didn't write on it, and I can't read it anyways, he thinks.
He takes the dogslicer off the wall, and gives it a few trial swings, then tests the sharpness of the blade by trying to shave a few hairs off Grindle's back. Satisfied, he hangs it from his saddle-horn, and looks through some of the other gear, finally selecting a shortbow and quiver of arrows.
"I'm ready. Hurry up, youse slow slugs!"
The Slicer is finely crafted, it is indeed a MasterWork Slicer. (+1 to ATK rolls)
Thats fine, that meshes well with the premade entrance I have planned too. Could you do a back history "before" you were made undead. It can be to your choosing where your history comes from, I'm only picking where you start. Which will be happening in the IC thread very soon. :)
For the record, I don't mind if you play forsaken or not, you can also choose to pick undead types from Libris Mortis as well. A forsaken has a special human or elf only thing listed there. So if you go forsaken pick one of those where you came from. (cosmetic aesthetics pretty much.)
Having received his orders, and yours, Wormfoot guides you through the armory on the way out to the bridge.
Wormfoot: "If you need weapons or armor now is the time to suit up, take what you need before the vultures grab it for tonight's raid. Most of this stuff is still in good working order. I dunno about that slicer on the wall by itself though, it's got a name on it. Bad mojo."
Wormfoot: "Listen up Zork, You can shot those hairy Hobs, but only "after" they give us the troubles. Not before, Ripnugget will be pickled off if you don't follow the plan. Of course it's changes every time that Longshank comes into the war room..."
Wormfoot arms himself with a shortbow, and quiver of arrows.
Currently Stocked there is:
"lots" of dogslicers.
eleven shortbows.
eighty arrows.
eleven suits of studded leather(small sized.)
six light wooden shields(with dents)
two coiled whips.
a single Dogslicer stands out among the rest mounted on a wall by itself. It looks like a master armorsmith crafted it. It was created with the name "W I N T E R W A L K E R" on one side of the blade, and "I REMEMBER" on the other side of it written in Goblin.
(It's blasphemy for Goblins, who think words forever leave your head as you write them down.)
Wormfoot: "When your done let's go, we also need to stop at the kennels. Looks like we need a Goblin Dog, and Nightsong. Heh. Good luck lady." he finishes turning to Brinkt.
Ripnugget: "Good there you are, the Druid. Talk to Nightsong if you can, convince her to let Brinkt ride her, those two "deserve" each other."
Nualia: "The forth rider, interesting, most interesting. Be on your way then and secure us allies or bring their bodies back for me, either way they will be useful."
For the record Goblins in this game can speak/understand common, they obviously prefer Goblin over Common unless they are spooking humans with their morbid songs, then they relish in the fear it instills.
Crash growls angrily at the other creatures as they enter the chamber, until Vera backhand slaps the creature right in the muzzle. She hops in the saddle, prodding Crash into position with her spiked boots.
"We'll take care of it, no problem. They'll be mud if they try anything."
Vera lines up with the others.
Whoops! Didn't know you were waiting for me. I should have made it more clear that I was already in the room. DM kept saying 'he, he, he' and Vera is a 'she, she, she'.
