In the distant future, in a world dominated by advanced technology and interstellar warfare, a brilliant scientist named Dr. Cassandra Harken embarked on an ambitious project. Fueled by her desire to create the ultimate weapon that would put an end to devastating wars, she developed the Cybernetic Humanoid Assault Drone, codenamed C.H.A.D. Unprecedented in its sophistication, C.H.A.D. was designed to possess unparalleled combat capabilities, adaptable AI, and advanced energy projection technology. With its creation, it was believed that living beings would no longer need to fight.

Before the project could be fully completed, however, a swarm of insectoid aliens invaded the Suskillon system, punching through the planet’s aerial and orbital defenses and overwhelming the local Suskillon Defense Force within mere days—long before the C.H.A.D.s could be put into mass production. Only the original prototype escaped the destruction wrought by the invaders.

Hoping to send her prototype back in time to give their planet advanced warning of the invasion, the desperate Dr. Harken turned to her colleagues for help. They had developed an experimental temporal rift generator but had not yet managed to successfully send a living being through their rifts. They hypothesized that C.H.A.D., not yet active at the time, might be able to survive such an endeavor intact. The swarm attacked their facility before the machine’s parameters could be properly calibrated, causing a rift to unexpectedly surge. Their facility and the temporal rift generator were destroyed, C.H.A.D. and the others were engulfed in a vortex of temporal energy, scattering them across time and space.

Emerging in an unfamiliar era, C.H.A.D. lay dormant for decades on the long lost planet of Golarion, a world of magic, mystery, and medieval technology that mysteriously disappeared in the distant past. C.H.A.D.’s body was eventually recovered and restored by a group of adventurers affiliated with the Pathfinder Society, an organization dedicated to exploring the world's mysteries, relics, and forgotten lore. Upon hearing his message and realizing that his mission was over before it began, C.H.A.D.’s rescuers extended their hand of friendship to the enigmatic android. Fascinated by the possibility of learning about the distant future through C.H.A.D., they offered him a place among their ranks.

Accepting their offer, C.H.A.D. became an invaluable asset to the Pathfinder Society. His strategic insights, combat prowess, and advanced knowledge of technology from his era proved invaluable in their quests and expeditions. Disoriented and completely cut off from his own time, C.H.A.D. embarked on a journey of self-discovery. His advanced systems allowed him to adapt quickly, and he soon became a force to be reckoned with in battles against strange creatures and powerful wizards. As he accompanied his new companions on daring escapades across Golarion, C.H.A.D. forged bonds of camaraderie and friendship, gradually adapting to the customs and cultures of the ancient world.

C.H.A.D. found purpose and a sense of belonging among the diverse members of the Pathfinder Society. Together, they would strive to unravel the mysteries of Golarion. In this strange life of his, C.H.A.D. hopes to become a legendary warrior and a bridge between worlds, blending technology from tomorrow with magic from the past. And so, the android soldier from the future, known as C.H.A.D., would continue to carve his legacy across time, as a proud member of the Pathfinder Society.
