Hey guys, Throughout the time I've played Pathfinder( Not very long ) there's always been a single damage dealing class that the GM hates to play with. Archers. So right now I'm looking for ways to handicap/ruin an archer in combat. Assuming I don't have an infinite amount of gold and the only thing on my side is time to plan, and knowing I'm going against an archer. Any spells/Tricks that can be done to limit the damage of the Archer until a melee can get in range?
Hey guys, Soon I'll be starting up a campaign with a relatively small group of people, However for the time being we're all close range or melee classes. Any long-ranged casters/Archers show up or even flyers I'm not sure if we'll be able to do anything about them. I'm playing a Two-Handed Fighter and my stats are as followed. STR: 20
Of course I can just pick up a bow but with a mere +2 to dex I doubt it'll be very effective. Any suggestions of how I can get ready to deal with long-range?
Hey guys, before anyone jumps to conclusions I'm not directly calling Oracles worthless, merely a question. I've recently started an Oracle with the Time Mystery ( Dual-Cursed ) and I may just be having an issue with caster. I was in a game this morning and I felt absolutely worthless, outside of my Misfortune from being Dual-Cursed. I sat back and did nothing. Does anyone else have issues playing an Oracle? Is it because I'm a caster time oracle? Would I be better off switching to battle? Share your own oracle experiences here.
Hey guys, I've recenetly been kicking around the idea about making a battle cleric. Similiar to a paladin but more.. Cleric like. I'm just curious if anyone around here has made one before? I don't feel like going full support cleric but I might go that way. Just looking for people who have done things
Hey guys, I've recently started to think about making an oracle, and Oracle of the Heavens ( Or Oracle of Life ) drew my eye. But I've never really played a spellcaster before. Are Oracle of the Heavens "Good"? and what are they good at, illusions and buffing? Overall I'm looking for an Oracle that has some.. Flavor. Like the Time or Heavens Oracle.
Hey guys, I've recently started to put together an illusionist wizard but I'm abit lost as to where to begin. I'm assuming it'll be an Elf Wizard but apart from Silent Image and Ghost Sound, What else is there? Note that this wizard is more meant to trick her way out of combat and make people serve her through tricks rather then the usual "SHOOT FIREBALL! LIGHTNING! PEW PEW!" As fun as that is.
Looking for some advice here about a name, not sure if it belongs here. I am having heavy issues. I have a name for all of my characters except for the matter of my Cleric, Leona Dawnbringer is my Paladin's name. Any ideas guys? ( Excuse me if this doesn't belong here. ) P.S If anyone also knows are there any arrows that do Slashing damage like Serpent's Tongues arrows?
Hey guys I've recently decided to make a Samsaran wizard and I've found out that their Alternate Trait lets me take ( In my case ) 5 spells of my choice. And now I'm here wondering what are the "best" spells I should take? I currently have Overwhelming Presence, Euphoric Tranquility, Haste, Maze, and Summoner Monster VIII. Any tips?
Hey guys I have a question in where I've been getting some mixed answers. I was really flip floppy in my first 3 weeks of Pathfinder so I made a Ninja, Played a game, Paladin, Played two games and I finally settled on the Druid. I was told by my local GMs ( Multiple ) that since they were ALL level 1 I was able to Take all of my Paladins and Ninja's experience and give it all to my druid. Is this the case? P.S I was told by multiple GMs at my local PFS Game shop.
Hello guys, I'm just a bit confused on alignments and I have an example and question. We went through the a campaign where a gnome takes the finger of one of our party members, As my character's job is to promote balance, She demanded that he also lose the same thing on his hand. She is a Lawful Neutral Monk. Would this be out of line with my Alignment? It certainly isn't against my backstory
Hey guys, I just have a question and I'm not really sure where to put it. I want to put more story into my character, but I have no idea where ANYTHING is, where certain races are from or any of the names. In specific I want to know two things. I'm currently playing a Light brown Saurian Shaman who was ideally brought up in the woods and as a druid, Which would mean there had to be dinosaurs around there, are there any specific places this could be? She's not a dino druid in the middle of the biggest town in Pathfinder. Second, Asian areas, Are there any? I'm making an Eastern Zen Archer of obvious asian descent. If you guys could answer this, or just give me a link to the lands of Pathfinder I'd appreciate it. P.S. ( For the general discussion ) Do you guys have a favorite land/area/city/etc in Pathfinder? Where/What is it?
Hey guys, I'm making a Saurian Shaman and as usual, I got lost along the way. A. Weapons I should use... Does it even matter? Or should I pick up a Longbow+Falchion. And as per equipment when I do I really need? I have my pet down, my stats, armor, etc. Is my animal companion always out or do I need to call animal? Just those few things holding me back. One day I won't have to ask so many questions. =P
Alright guys I'm back again with some more questions. I've recently wanted to make a summoner because well, Luna from FF10 Amirite? That and they simply seem fun. I have my stats set out, feats, etc. Basically everything done. But I don't understand three things. My Eidolon, My level 1 equipment, and my spells. I've never played a spell caster so I don't know what they "need" as per how to do spells, or what equipment. And the Eidolon part.. No idea. I know I want like, A small serpent type-a dealio. But I'm really lost.
Hey guys, I'm relatively new to pathfinder and I have a question.. Is Wisdom important for paladins? I'm going as an Archer Paladin and my stat build is Str 15, Dex 16, Con 10, Int 10, Wis 7, Cha 15. Would I be a fool to not get Wisdom on a paladin? i've been reading alot of guides and alot of them actually say Wisdom is the least important stat for a paladin to have. Is this true?
Hey guys, I'm pretty brand new to path finder ( Started Friday ) and I'm going to go to my first PFS event at my local game shop. But I'm not too sure if I did everything right, or if I forgot anything on my character.
