Ciera surreptitiously glances over at the hut but, unable to anything where Holgur indicates, she shakes her head at him to indicate she hasn't spotted whatever he's looking at. Nevertheless she casually moves a little way down the beach (20ft.) stealing more glances the way of the hut when she can.

As they near the skeletons Ciera gulps nervously and flexes her wrists to loosen her wrist sheathes and quickly checks her other daggers. She helps the others haul the small boat onto the sand and then turns to scan the surrounding forest and huts.

Ciera looks out over the prow of the small boat as they near the shore. Peering intently at the pilings and the rounded domes. "We should definitely see what they are." she says, glancing up at the big man leaning over her. "Perhaps they're something to do with those octopus-things? We should be careful."

Ciera at Plugg's harsh words. "But we can't just leave 'em" she angrily mutters. "We could try to find 'em couldn't we? Who knows what those creatures are wantin?"

Ciera runs below with the others, searching every nook and cranny she can to see if her two friends might be hiding there. Slipping on something wet, she pales and crouches down to examine the marks and then looks up at the others. "Look here. Doesn't this look like the marks those goblin-creatures left behind? And look there, isn't that Sanadara's holy symbol?" She moves over and picks up the item, showing it to the others before securing it around her own neck.

Ciera woozily climbs to her feet rubbing the wound that Kelly's ministrations have healed. "Thanks fer that Kelly. What were those things?"

Ciera slips back avoiding the lash of the strange creature's tentacle as it attempts to trip her. However, her movement brings her into the path of its flashing spear and, as it pierces her side she stares down at the wound before collapsing to the deck.

Ciera smiles as the slimy thing drops to the ground, its tentacles still moving strangely in its death throws. She sways easily out if the way of the next creature's grab and slashes forward with her two blades.

Ciera, surprised at the creature being taken in by her ill-timed feint, nevertheless spins and strikes at the creature with her two blades.

Ciera laughs as the storm's winds lash about her, moving easily over the narrow spars and swinging easily between ropes. Her mood buoyed by being given a respite from the tedium of knot and rope work, she works hard as the rain lashes the ship.

GM:
Just wondering whether I might get a bonus to rigging or rope work because of my Rope Master rogue talent?.. I know its not in the rules, but it would seem appropriate??

Rope Master:(A rogue with this ability can move at her normal speed when using rope on a Climb check, can take 10 when using Acrobatics to move over narrow surfaces even when in danger or distracted, and gains a +4 bonus when determining the DC to escape bonds when she ties up a creature.)

Ciera nervously looks at the approaching clouds and joins in with the rest of the crew to batten down the hatches and get everything ship-shape. As she works she keeps a careful eye on the hostile crew, however, in the bustle it seems that the rivalries have been temporarily put aside as they all work to prepare for the coming storm.

Ciera continues working as hard as she can through the next day, sure that, should she fail to perform her duties, Aretta will make sure that Scourge or Plugg will hear about it. However, tired from her trip above deck the night before, she ends her shift exhausted.

Before going to bed Ciera will find Kelly and try to find out how long the potion of Invis. will last.?

Ciera waits until the crew are deeply asleep before surreptitiously drinking the potion and heading to the deck (around 1:00am), trying to find out what Plugg's up to. She will return to her hammock before the potion wears out if possible.

Ciera, still stiff after her rough treatment of the night before, sighs as the assignments are read out. Giving her tall companion a wary but friendly smile she resolves to put her head down and work, trying to avoid another beating.

Ciera once again regains consciousness after her heavy beating. The freshly healed scars on her back forming a web with the older ones. She woozily climbs to her feet.

"With Scourge and Plugg actin' like this I recon even the sailors on their side'll soon be itchin' t' get rid of 'em" she says. "I've never heard of a crew that stayed loyal fer long without grog or entertainment. I say we keep our heads down an' see if we can't work on some of the others t' see if they'll support us against the bastards. The longer we wait the more of 'em will be on our side."

I'd put my hand up for a potion of CMW since my acrobatics means that I'm usually pretty mobile in a fight. The others should go to support roles maybe? - Belor and Balsooma? possibly...?

Invis potion to Balsooma so he can potentially heal?

I'm sure that everyone would like the amulet - dice off?

With that she runs down to her locker to grab any remaining gear. Stopping on her way to say a quick goodbye to any of friends that weren't selected to join the skeleton crew.

Hmmm,.. Can't afford crossbow so...

Ciera returns the crossbow to Grok, with thanks. She looks over the stores and selects the masterwork theives' tools which she secrets in a small pocket sewn into her shirt. As she's leaving she spies a battered tricorn hat which she grabs as well and, struck by a sudden thought, a sewing kit.

On the first night Ciera spends her time carousing with the crew, spending her time with Skrimshaw Jack as subtly as possible. Getting quite drunk, she heads to bed and sleeps soundly through the night. She spends the next day drinking, but does remember her promise to Grok to return the crossbow which she offers to buy from the stores. That night, merry and uninhibited after a day's drinking, she performs in front of the crew, using the high lines of the ship to perform an impromptu high-wire act (using Rope Master rogue talent).

If she has time between these activities she will make sure that she takes fresh water to the prisoners, checking that none are too badly hurt.

Ciera replaces her daggers in her wrist-sheathes and resets the springs. Once that is done she moves over to a sailor's body and begins to search it. Looking up at their new companion So what's yer story? How is it you found herself on a Rhahadoumi ship Bein attacked by pirates?

can we get a description of what you look like, are wearing etc?

Ciera steps forward and leans down to look Belor in the face. "Well maybe ye deserve a chance bilge-rat. I'm gonna untie ye but if ye so much as think about turnin' on us, yer shark-bait right?". She begins untying him, stepping back with her crossbow leveled as soon as the ropes are loose enough for him to free himself.

Quick question about the lifeboat...:

what stage are they at in so far as releasing it? - Are they just about to lower it into the water (how far is the drop?) - is it in the water?

Would it be possible to cut one of the lines whilst its being lowered and pitch them all into the sea?

Ciera gasps as the sailor's blade opens her old wound but steadies herself and slashes forward with her blades. Due to her fresh injury her first strike slashes wide, however her second finds its mark, biting deep into the sailor's belly.
