Chuufa's page

Apologies once again to everyone involved for the subsequent late posting from over a month ago since the last time; pretty much have only checked in just today from my last posting due to the unpredictable schedule resulting from my eldercare duties.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to guarantee any reliable postings in the near future due to that but I will try to provide the relevant dice rolls required when I can make the posts.

Did also want to mention my gratitude and welcome to Gyrfalcon for stepping up to join with the party for a much needed hand in the midst of all the mist-filled, swampy fun that Ravenloft loves to provide wayward adventurers from all realities. :)

Back to posting again today since last month's sign-in and am now doing the requisite bit of catching up with where the party is currently at in-game.

Apologies again for the lateness of my posting though; the frequency of my eldercare duties for the real-life family had exponentially increased during the past few weeks due to a minor sprain but hopefully things will get back on track here, if everything works out for the best.

Will get right on that attempt for a 4th diplomacy roll from Chuufa although there's no guarantee that it'll take for the constable.

Bit of a belated chime in [due to real life stuff piling on], but it's good to hear about our thread's avid reader as well. :)

I'd imagine that there might be a nostalgia factor involved since it's old school [D&D2e] Ravenloft and all. ;)

PS. have read in on some unrelated adventures here on the message boards before on occasions myself. ;p

Luc, our hexad-hermit guy, does seem to be quite well-supplied with crated food and drink out in the swampland boonies. :)

Somebody has to go and send him all that stuff since it doesn't seem like he has a boat of his own. ;)

First time seeing what botting instructions are- ended up looking at all three of my fellow party-member profiles to see how they're formatted and such. Will put one up in both of my profiles when I can. ;)

Definitely easing back into things will be the way to go.

Ended up taking an extended break m'self over the holidays and such, so I personally don't mind the break during the new year. :)

Apologies for the slowness on posting on my end of things. Have ended up being busy making preparations for the holidays and will continue to be a bit slow during the next few days or so with family having an extended get-together over those very same days.

Otherwise, I'm fine with the pacing thus far- even with my sparse posting.

Swarms might just be more a 3rd edition/PF thing then? Luckily for us, it's just stirges. :)

PS. Good job to Leandrie's tanking; best 2 gp that Chuufa spent thus far. ;p

Heh, figured all of our respective arrivals to Karcau would've been handwaved away and all. And I got's me the feeling that our pursuit of our prospective quarry more or less starts as soon as our illustrious VC gave us all our marching orders. ;)

Similarly to Bam and Sebastian, I've not played nor judged for 6-23 myself but spoilers don't really bother me much anyhow.

Presuming that there's any change in the personnel at the local lodge level, Chuufa would mostly likely shrug his metaphorical shoulders and chalk things up to people in the lodge being much too busy to stay in the same place or something to that effect. It's not like the local leadership would be a particular favorite of his or anything like that either. ;p

Filled out the player slides and such.

While initially I had Chuufa positioned directly to the right of Manfri on the 6 squared topside marching-order, after some consideration for the relative squshiness of the Tengu, I'll probably have both Chuufa tokens placed on the 2nd row to the right... directly below his previous positioning- well, both of the Chuufas for now [so it'd be their, instead?]. ;)

That way, he'll be able to move upfront if scouting and trap-searching is needed. The single-file ,bottom-most marching-order will remain unchanged for now, as far as either Chuufa's positioning goes.

I really don't like to influence another player's choice, so yeah I was abstaining.

"Hah! Chuufa and Leandrie has big win! Boring gunman and dumb mule has to stay behind in Lodge!"

Looks like Tengu and Sheep have taken the lead! Chuufa's comparatively more PFS-compliant than Praxis, whose main ranged damage gimmick, thanks to his Grammaton archetype plus the Spell Cartridges feat, seems to be using his gun attack of either bullet or a swift action Arcane Strike 'empowered force bullet' attack- combined with his Disrupt Pattern Ranged Touch attack damage (but won't have precise shot nor point-blank shot)- so his ranged attacks will be a bit limited in effectiveness though. Then DM rel20 has to determine if the misfire chances apply too, unless there's been an unofficial faq on it. ;p

PS. Sincerest apologies in advance for any possibly-probable trouble that could potentially ensue or arise from Chuufa's presence in the upcoming adventure-mission... maybe Leandrie too... but seriously, how much more trouble can a sheep be as a beast of burden? Rhetorical question, I know. ;)

PPS. Chuufa himself was originally one of 10 different prospective character choices for an other-planar game; needless to say, he wasn't chosen but he did have the advantage of having much more time to percolate in my brain compared to Praxis. ;p
