Chuck is a simple man. Well, a simple man-demon hybrid. He was raised in a cave with his broodmates near what was left of Sarkoris (now called the Worldwound), in the Realm of Mammoth Lords. Chuck's young life was simple, if rough. His mother, a half-succubus, would "care" for Chuck and his siblings by bringing back chunks of flesh for them to eat, and pitting them against one another in fights to "build character." At least that's what she said...
She sure giggled a lot when we fought though.
Anyway, I had fun with my brothers and sisters, though I got picked on a lot. Mommy said my father was some kind of dwarf, which makes sense 'cause I was the shortest. I didn't like to fight though, and I couldn't hear very well, so I got picked on too. It got worse that time when mommy through a loud rock in the cave. We all were deaf for a while, and I kinda liked it cause we were all the same, even if I was worse than before. They all got better though, and I didn't. Now I don't hear nothin'. But that's ok, everyone's been really nice when I can see them since I left. Oh, I left because I got mad. One day, I got cut in a fight when mommy was away. It was kinda bad, cause it just kept bleeding. I tried just drinking it cause like mom says, Urgo.. urguh... Broth.. Uurrrggu... Ur-ga-tho-a (yay) hates waste. It wasn't stopping this time though, so I left it. Then it was weird, and turned all shiny, and suddenly I had this shiny metal axe where all my blood was. I was really happy, but my brothers wanted to take it! I didn't like that, it was my blood after all. So I fought hard this time, and I think I got a little carried away because they were all dead when I stopped. Oops.
Mommy was kinda angry when she came back. She kept yelling "get out" and "you're reading," I mean, "you're ready." Not reading, she didn't say that. So I left.
Outside was scary. It was so big. I liked my cave. It was cold outside though, and I kept walking towards from the sun. It was warmer down there, I could tell. I got good at hunting and feeding myself. I saw some places with a lot of pink people in them. They were mean though, so I left. There was more food in the woods anyway.
The further I went the warmer it got, which made me happy.
One day, I was hunting and killed a biiiiiiig bear. It was good, I like bears. They have big hearts and they taste good. Then I saw a man, he was on the ground near the bear and his pants were wet. I think I saved him? That's good. He was really happy about it and said some nice things. I had to keep telling him to look at me when he said stuff though, cause I'm deaf but I figured out how to read lips all on my own. He was nice, and said he had a place I could stay and good way to get food. I liked that cause hunting was hard and I was hungry sometimes. We went to Abssl... Abba... ABBBS... AB-sol-om and he helped me join the Pathfinders. It was really nice to have pink people not run away yelling or throw things at me. They must've been really impressed with my too because I got all sorts of looks. *GRIN* (Oh, I'm not supposed to read that? ook.)
Anyway, now I have a room to sleep in and I get shiny metal circles that people will give me food for. The pathfinders send me places and tell me what to do for the circles. I do my best, cause at this point I'm pretty good at fighting. Urrga.... Urug... Bart... Urgatha helps me out some too, or maybe it's someone else because sometimes I heal people. I'm not sure, I just do it.
