If Chord can get the horses calm, he will cast in a soft voice.

Chord then communicates to the four startled companions

You need to add a legend for the map :P

You also need to provide information for the north and south areas in the crypt, unless you intend for us to adventure inside the temple :P

If the hallway is one thing to us and another for Lynnoria, then we can not take that route( when the others arrive) and lynorria will be fighting said being without our aid because we can not see/interact with the being. If we need to stay put till the others arrive, let us know. I guess I am just not sure what we need to be doing. Need GM intervention.

Chord turns around to see that wild eyed look in Cinder's eyes, the twitchyness of cinders hands readied for some yet unseen spirit to accidentally walk in front of Cinder's bloodthirsty vengence, the drool slowly edging its way down the corner of Cinder's mouth.

"er, why yes Cinder, maybe we should split up and cover more ground this side of the door. Why dont you and your scimitar head north and Setrek and myself will cover the southern passage. The area is kind of small so please check to make sure it is us before you swing." A wide smile appears on Chords cheeks.

Turns to Setrek and the rest who have accompanied them

"I feel I missed something about your entrance to the crypt. Though we met behind the tree door. How was it you came by that hall? My concern would be there may be other secret ways and portals into the crypt. Maybe I should map out what we have so far, or is that what you are doing.." Chord points at Setrek's chapbook

"Well if it is out of thin air, its not from now, If its in a time that has never been, then it would be some time in the future. Live creatures could be brought to from there, but dead would would mean it would be dead in a future sense, however dead could also mean if it was dead, it may be out of reach or domain of the one sending it to us. So death is out of reach, living or recently dead is ok. Still, I have to admit I am not sure. I would hate to guess wrongly and be eaten.... Somewhere in that logic is a sicilian. Chord walks over the bar and attepts to test the magical properties.

"Lets see how good this bar really is..." A smile crosses the gnomes lips as a sudden thought of mischief comes to him.

"I waaaaaaant.....A pint of bard's brew from the best tavern from Ivy District in Absolam, A travellers cask of goutcleaner ale from Dongun Hold in Alkenstar, a elfin bottle of Verduran wine from Brellis,Andoran, A shot of orcish deathswill from Belkzen, A bottle of Diabolical Chelish port & a wand of negation to break the circle of protection on the stopper..."

This goes on for several minutes until Chord has tested the bar to produce a drink from every corner of the inner sea. Some drinks he had only heard of, others he never dared to try, some that are extremely costly, some magical and a few known to be even deadly.

Once they are all there, if they appear at all. Chord will say "I have changed my mind! Just a small travel cask of something that Caden Caliean would have liked to have drunk. Thank you"

But I agree with your reasoning, casting spells with pincers would not be a preferable as casting as a dragon." Chord mocks trying to cast with clamping pincer-like hands. Chord contemplates and thinks about any of the key words of the riddle that may give him some clue to the passing word

"First line could mean a female should say the word, or reference to a priestess of Pharisma, even a midwife. The second in my opinion is the clue for the passing word or key phrase to move past the door. Based on the second line alone I would guess the word to be Correct Answer or Correct Guess which is not bad if not wrapped in the following two sentences which suggest that if you have made it to this door you have to give something to get passage"

Scratches his head "Maybe we should look around more for clues to this puzzle." Notices his friends have moved off and goes after them.

Wow, you guys were busy typing :) Sorry, school kept me busy today. *Reads through a billion posts*

Chord blinks as the last door opens, amazed at the over the top secuirty in the catacombs.

"I was sure there was going to be another door there"

Seeing the two people in the room beyond, he quickly draws out his flute like he is going to stab someone with it. and then realizes.. these two look like adventurers, not graverobbers and whips the flute back behind him as he blushes.

"I beg your pardon and that of your family's. Please forgive my confusion, I mistook you for common thieves! Well, maybe not so common, wealthy mage like thieves with flasks and vials and..."

Chord bows before the Pathfinders, turns to his companions

"This is Haydog, a wizard of unusual art, his wands of fire and thunder can be quite alarming. And may I present Cinder, the slayer of ghosts and Chiliam, the effective but vocally challenged."

Chord gestures to a blank wall.

Vern the unseen and extremely silent."

Chord turns to Dexter

"I must admit it warms the heart to find such kindred..." Chord spots something crawling on Dexter's shoulder. Whipping his flute over his head he says. "...Dont move! There's scorpion on your shoulder. I'll get it!"

Four handles, Chord considers the thought that it requires four people to open. GM:Does the four handles are each in 1/4th quadrant of the door? Where one may make a "X" patter if rope was used to pull the door from all handles at once? Also, is there any dirt/dust between 2nd and third door? I am looking for sliding/shifting clues

Chord steps back a ways till he can find dust and dirt on the floor and gathers a fistful. He moves back to the clean floor and pours the sandy dust on the floor. With key in hand, he draws a pattern on the floor with the key whilst speaking melodically

"Knock knock, open wide, see what's on the other side,
Knock knock, any more, come with me through the Magic Door."

Casts Knock. If it works, Chord looks at Cinder and says..

"Please ,do not speak of my magical ways around Haydog. I am terribly afraid of the wizard and wish not to provoke him."

"Door Opening is sure time consuming work. Good thing its not a dwarven door; I had forgotten my camping gear."

Consider Zhele a thief from Vigil, who drank at the Swan and Grouse.
He made himself quite popular by buying rounds for the house.

A thief's best friends are luck and speed, alertness, cunning and stealth.
And ale can cause these all to flee and cheat a thief of his wealth.
But add to this a drunken dare to steal a lock of the Empress' hair,
Then even a fool should be aware...this may be bad for your health.

So Zhele did stumble through the door in his most fearless state.
He slipped in shadows past the guard and snuck through the palace gate.
Then giggling he scaled the wall so drunk he thought he could not fall.
For wasn't he the best of all...and surely favored by Fate.

As he climbed in he saw a girl who was dressed in cloth not fur.
A palace maid? Perhaps a cook? T'was difficult to be sure.
A homely lass she did appear, but anyone looks good through beer,
So when she asked, "Why are you here?"...he said he was there for her.

He showered her with compliments for flattery was his skill.
And so they spent a pleasant time as any young couple will.
But as the dawn lit their embrace, he recognized the lady's face
From every golden coin it graced...and suddenly he felt ill.

He'd heard that drink was dangerous and now he knew for a fact.
For theives caught in the palace were hanged or stretched upon a rack.
But as this thief was kind and bold, the empress gifted him with gold.
(Then the guard made sure that he'd been told...he'd be killed if he ever came back.)

And so he was a thief no more for that was part of the deal.
His bet was lost because she gave him what he went there to steal.
So other thieves may scorn and mock his name and tale but still they flock
For a drink and a look at the Empresses Lock... the finest tavern in Vigil.

Do the Drag marks continue through the child door? Anything like a handle on this door? Chord goes up the the next door(20,11) and listens near the crack where the door meets the floor.

Chord doesnt have survival but he may be able to follow the drag marks a little. Is there adequate lighting down here?

Chords lurches forward with upward ragdoll like arms and googly eyes. He then composes himself and looks at the floor.

"if somone walked off with the corpses, they may leave tracks in the dusty tomb, unless of course we have lost them with all our battling."

Chord places his nose close to the ground and tries to divine if there had been tomb robbers here, and if so, where did they go?
