Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
Oh, pish-posh. Is he still injured? Chloe can't do anything for his Con loss. But, if he still needs some old-fashioned hit point restoration... Channel positive energy #1... 1d6 ⇒ 6
Apply that to everyone by huddling around. Kids included.

Rall Kirnast wrote: "Frankly, knowing that the townspeople are waiting for us makes me feel uneasy. It isn't exactly the nicest of towns," says Rall. "That might be true," Chloe comments, having traveled widely as a priestess of Desna, "But I suspect they'll be more than glad to see these children back unharmed. That's what matters most." At that she pauses and regards Rall, Bowen, and Arla again. "By the way," she adds, "I don't think I ever properly thanked all of you. It wasn't just these children you saved. If you hadn't come, Edgrin and I would likely have met the same fate as Tynan back there. So, thank you. Very much. You're all heroes in my eyes. And I mean that." She brushes away the tears starting to form in her eyes and blinks until she can draw a deep breath and smile again.
Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
"Thank you for your kindness," Chloe offers, "We've been through a lot, I'm afraid. The children even moreso..." Assuming everyone's hale and hearty enough to continue, Chloe starts making preparations for another hike through the woods and back to Falcon's Hollow. She does what she can to strike up conversations with the children, trying to keep their spirits up. She takes confidence that they'll likely prove more resilient than any of them.
Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
Chloe does what she can to console Edgrin...and seek consolation from him, as well. Finally, she agrees with Bowen that they should make for Falcon's Hollow as soon as possible. Along with Arla, she continues playing 'mother hen' to ensure they all get back home as safely as possible.
Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
Silent for most of the way back, Chloe feels numb from the loss of Tynan. They certainly succeeded in rescuing the child, but she wonders how Edgrin will take the loss of their comrade. But then, when they reach the bottom of the shaft they used to descend from the lair of the demon, she grows more worried. "We need to be careful..." she warns, "Can someone climb up and make sure the coast is clear before we start trying to slip past that demon of smoke and fire again?"

Chloe rolls her eyes and takes advantage of any momentary hesitation on the enemy kobold's part to attack him again. I'll spend Chloe's second action point to gain another extra standard action this turn to make two attacks against the kobold. First melee attack with scimitar... 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Second melee attack with scimitar... 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
Chloe leaves the fallen kobold to Arla and Ash, stepping forward to punish the kobold who slew Tynan. I'd like to spend one of Chloe's three remaining action points to gain an extra standard action this turn so she can launch two attacks at the kobold. Her scimitar thrums with arcane power as she furiously slashes at the menacing creature. First melee attack with scimitar... 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Second melee attack with scimitar... 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
I'd like to move Chloe into position to use color spray, but I'm unsure of the positioning. Obviously, I don't want to knockout Arla and Ash. So, I'm looking to move Chloe close enough to the "enhanced" kobold warrior to hit him...and if the spellcasting kobold is within the extreme range of the effect, I'd try to include him, too. But, my primary target will be the warrior if that's not possible. Chloe moves into range and then sends a blast of familiar multi-colored light at the face of the kobold attacking Arla. Casting color spray (DC 14)
Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
With Rall falling away from the battle and seeing the kobold king surrounded by her friends, Chloe throws herself into the battle with fervor. The blade of her scimitar ripples with arcane energy in the hopes of ending the monster's life as quickly as possible. Melee attack with scimitar, modified by bless and flanking bonus... 1d20 + 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 + 1 + 2 = 21
EDIT: I'd also like to spend the hero point for an automatic critical, if I can... Additional damage, if possible... 1d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 = 6

Rall Kirnast wrote: Where in this 42 pages does it remind me how to spend an action point? Check the OOC discussion thread... Even if you can't save yourself, spend as many action points as you can to improve your attack roll and then spend a hero point to make it an automatic critical. ;-)
Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
Initiative check... 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 Chloe cries out a warning as Rall gets himself surrounded. Unable to really target the kobold king or his guards with anything specific, she chooses instead to try and bolster her friends with Desna's blessing. Casting bless to improve everyone's attacks and saves vs. fear by +1.
Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
Chloe looks at Rall like he's crazy. But rather than contradict the possible distraction he's creating, she takes advantage of it to peer around the chamber for any sign of the child or Tynan. Then, she readies an action to cast a spell at the first sign of combat.

Bowen Quaid wrote: "I'm better but not full strength, but I think I can survive a little longer. Is this where you were being held? Do you have any information on what ahead?" Chloe looks around and frowns. "I'm...not sure..." she sighs, "It's really confusing down here. When we escaped, we ran as fast as we could, just hoping to find a way out." I'll leave it to Wicht if there's any clue that might jog Chloe's memory.
Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
"How is everyone?" Chloe asks, wiping the sweat from her brow sheathing the scimitar. "By Desna, we will see this through. Bowen? You look hurt. I'm still not myself either. Let's see if we can ask for Desna's luck just once more." Channel positive energy... 1d6 ⇒ 4 That's going to leave Chloe with one last channeling available today.

We still haven't seen Mishi. I'll keep posting for Arla and Ash until Mishi returns. Do you eventually want to see someone else wants to play? Or do you figure to wrap this one up once we free the last of the children? With Rall's arrow felling the kobold attacked by both Arla and Ash, they change targets and move to aid Bowen. Arla's attack with spear... 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Ash's bite attack... 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Add +2 to those attack rolls if flanking is available, I guess.
Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
Posting for Arla and Ash again...(has anyone heard from Mishi in awhile?) As Chloe withdraws, both Arla and Ash rush forward to attack the remaining kobolds. They focus on the one attacking Chloe and leave Bowen to hopefully finish the other one. Arla's attack with spear... 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Ash's bite attack... 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

Rall Kirnast wrote: Wouldn't you be more likely to survive this encounter if you got into the tunnel behind me? Considering we've seen these slurks cling to walls and ceilings, I don't think so. They'd just go around and over us to continue attacking. Plus, I'm assuming they can move faster than we can. So, running isn't really an option right now.
Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
Rall Kirnast wrote: That's what I'm thinking. We've got to becoming close to the last kid. Let's just grab him and run. I'm with you, but Chloe's got to survive this last encounter first. She's down to 4 hp right now. If we can finish off the kobolds and the last slurk, she should be able to heal herself up enough to continue. And, seeing as how we must have put a serious dent in the kobold ranks as a result of this massive fight, hopefully there's not too much more standing between us and the last kid. If we can grab him (her?) and Chloe's last adventuring companion (Tynan), then we can race out of here and recover before deciding if we actually want to go any further in the ruins.
Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
Posting for Arla and Ash... Both Arla and Ash continue attacking the kobold trying to dismount from the dead toad even as Chloe tries to pull away. Arla's attack with spear... 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Ash's bite attack... 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
Chloe reaches out to touch the kobold rider as he dismounts from his dead toad, attempting to fill his mind with nothing but laughter and the distractions of fey magic. She then leaves him to Arla and Ash to finish so she can aid Bowen and Rall against the newcomers. Melee touch attack... 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 Chloe is using her laughing touch ability, which has no save as long as she can succeed on the melee touch attack. It basically incapcitates a victim by making it laugh. This limits it to only a single move action...and no attack actions...but it can still defend itself normally. While the kobold is impeded, she will then use a move action to pull away and join Bowen and Rall against the other riders. I don't believe that will incur an attack of opportunity from the current kobold, but let me know if you fell otherwise.
Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
Arla attacks the remaining kobold rider with her spear, while also calling Ash to her aid. As she strikes, the dog charges and leaps to defend his mistress. Arla's melee attack with spear... 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Ash's attack with charging bonus... 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 2 = 15
Female Human (Taldan) Cleric 1 / Battle Sorceress 1
With her additional injury, Chloe fears she may have gotten in over her head by charging the last rider. She calls for help from her comrades and launches another attack at the toad. Melee attack with scimitar... 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
