Prestidigitaion :)I'm only guessing it's in one of our books, but overall it's just really fun to say!

The rogue (me!)performed an act of prestidigitation to sneak past the guards at the museum before the TPK (NOT the rogue's fault).

I'm not trying to troll or threadcrap here, I'm just honestly amazed at the bizzare division that the Transformers movie has made, not just within the Paizo forums, but everywhere. Consider this for a moment: the reactions of the Paizo forums are almost identical to the reactions of the 4Chan forums.

I've personally not felt such a strong "pick a side" vibe before, even during the Edition Wars. Maybe its repressed angst from said Wars, finally coming out. Maybe not. But its been so bad I almost don't feel welcome on these boards anymore, like proclaiming that I enjoyed TF2 is going to get me lynched or shunned. I know I'm somewhat over-reacting, but the fact that the feeling is being generated in me tells me that something is going on, regardless of the intensity of said feeling.

TF2 is one of the worst rated movies of all time. Sites like Rotten Tomatoes have given it scores firmly in the "box office dud" category. Roger Ebert tore it to shreds in his review. And yet it is one of the top grossing movies of all time as well. When I saw it the theater was full of laughing and grinning people. This movie has drawn a huge line in the sand between people, and as I straddle the line, both enjoying the movie and acknowledging what could have been better, I wonder why other people can't do the same. Am I part of a dying breed that has both a childlike sense of wonder and a sense of humor? And I don't mean a sense of humor that appreciates low brow humor, I mean one that lets me relax and not take things seriously.

I'm honestly extremely emotionally conflicted right now. Posting on Paizo recently has been like coming home to find your parents working on divorce papers. I'm just not sure what to think anymore.

You want to do the draft before training camp or you just want to get the league filled? I don't play in any game that drafts before the fourth preseason game (nothing like blowing a pick on a guy who goes on IR during preseason).

Second, Yahoo doesn't rank players and auto-pick the "best available"? I was forced by work to allow the computer to pick one of my ESPN teams last year and won the league...

I love me some fantasy football, and would love to play with Paizonians, but I need these questions answered!

Yeah, why have dice at all? Really, if it's all about "story", and the GM just makes up whatever, who needs dice and rules?

Ok, so I've been going through the various threads (especially the spell and magic threads), and I have a question.

Should Pathfinder be made kid safe?

Swords are sharp. Maybe they should be made of foam so no one gets hurt.

Pits should all have big fluffy pillows at the bottom, 'cause, you know, it would be unfair if someone fell to their death.

Dragons should all breathe cotton candy. Fire and lightning interfere with the "story", as characters might break a fingernail or something.

Wizards should be limited to pulling rabbits out of their hats and ribbons out of their sleeves. All those "SoD" or "SoS" spells totally ruin everything!

And those pesky DR X/whatever stats need to go, I mean, how is a party expected to handle everything that might come up?

D&D has been deadly for 30+ years now. There are other systems for people who have to get their bad acting and writing fix satisfied, so why mess with this?

Yeah, I don't remember drinking any everlasting potion of eternal life. I don't remember life ever being very fair either!

I died yesterday and I am sad that I didn't get to fight the Turducken LOL :( HoustonDerek died trying to save me though :) So romantic!

Silverhair, I really enjoyed reading your summary of the adventure to date. Sounds like things flowed smoothly (and quickly!) for your group.

My etymology was "terrapin" with "kraken", but yours works too (and leaves me wondering if I had John Madden's Thanksgiving post-game show on in the background when I came up with that, as he's always distributing legs off a 6-legged turducken as awards).
