History
Chillel is not a Valer but was raised in the only human family in a dwarven mining town on Droskar's Crag. After her mother died of illness when she was five Chillel and her miner father were the only humans in town.
The dwarfs were mostly accepting of the human child and Chillel still likes dwarfs. But inevitably Chillel spent a lot of time alone, wandering the mountain.
Two years ago, when she was 15 Chillel's father died in a mining accident. Chillel decided to move to Falcon's Hollow where her father's two brothers lived, working as lumberjacks.
Walking down the mountain a storm arrived very quickly. Chillel immediately sought shelter but huddling between rocks was not nearly adequate and the young woman started to freeze. Chillel was sure she was dying when she heard the storm speak to her, teach her, claim her...
She awoke covered in snow but not even cold. Her winter witch powers had arrived spontaneously.
She arrived in Falcon's hollow soon after. She resides sometimes with one uncle, sometimes with the other. Chillel has made her living as she can. She has hunted, her familiar and hexes help, gathered herbs and edible plants from the forest and worked odd jobs.
Chillel seems distant to most people, more attuned to nature and the spirits than human society. However, Chillel is deeply concerned at the spate of serious illness in the town that is home to her and her family.
