I've been watching a lot of Spartacus of late and I'm intrigued on how best to build a Oenomaus styled character. Assume a 20 point buy. I think he should focus on using the whip to disarm and trip while still having the versatility to use other weapons to deliver the killing blow. I view him as a more mobile fighter but I'm interested to see other interpretations. Since he will need at least 13 int a good con, strength, and dex he's going to be a bit mad so I'm having a hard time figuring out the best set up. I'm not a fan of the gladiator arch type and would see that part of the character filled by role playing. Let me know how you think best to build him.
My Gm for reasons that escape me and fill me with no small measure of dread has informed us that our next campaign will be based on a 32 point buy. We have never done more then 20 before so I'm a bit out of my depth. He is a notorious optimizer so what ever I build has to be powerful. The campaign is exclusively dungeon crawl so I don't have to worry about social skill and knowledge is only for monster Id. Any advice on builds to take advantage of this high point buy would be appreciated. Lastly the party is going to be evil so take that into account.
I'm playing a lvl 3 castigator style of Pally(two handed). I'm the only primary melee char in the party so I need to be able to take advantage of Lay on hand. I'm torn between Greater mercy(healing an extra 1d6 if I don't need one of the mercies) or extra lay on hands(2 extra uses a day). Any advice on this point would be helpful.
I have a player who wants to construct a prestige class similar to a nautical themed Bloodhound from 3.5. The idea being that he wanted to build a bounty hunter type character but adapt the abilities to be more useful at sea and tracking better at a distance. I'm looking for advice on ability's i could give a prestige class in this vain. Thx.
Ok i'm starting a campaign this Sunday that I plan to at least initially be all aboard ship or close to the ship(they were impressed on to the ship so the captain isn't going to risk them running away early on). The party is lvl 1 so i'm looking for low level encounters. On ship works there will be friction between the crew and a faction of the crew is planning a mutiny but they don't know that. Combat or role playing themed encounters are both welcome. Thx.
I'm looking for build ideas. I'm going to be playing a vampire in an undead campaign. It will be a role playing heavy campaign where all PC's are evil and trying to bring about a plague of undeath for a cult of Urgathoa in a very populated and powerful city.
I look forward to any interesting ideas you guys have.
I'm currently playing a level two druid with a tiger companion. I'm a little confused as to how to calculate attack bonus when making a full attack. The animal companion stat blocks don't indicate which of the claw and bite attacks are primary or secondary. Do they all have the same bonus or are the claws treated as secondary and take a minus if they attack the same turn as the bite. Thx. |
