This is the best one yet--super good!!! I agree with what logsig said about the team coming together.
Only one typo is killing me, though. Shouldn't “We can just leave him here!” be "We can't just leave him here!"?
Keep up the good work, Sutter! I can't wait for your next novel (whatever it is), and I would love to see some official Starfinder fiction.
Does Paizocon have an "exhibit hall" like area with stores (such as Paizo), artist booths (such as Wayne Reynolds), etc.? What are the hours they are staffed/open? Where are they located within the hotel? Forgive me if this has already been covered elsewhere (I couldn't find anything). Thanks!
On a related note, will there be a Reaper Miniatures Paint & Take again this year? And how does that work exactly?
Hi! Thanks for all the info. This is awesome!
So just to make sure... Are we able to come by the Paizo booth during exhibit hall hours and pick them up at any time during the 4 days of Gen Con?
And will there be a separate little bundle specifically set aside with my name on it just waiting for me to come by and pick it up? :)
My new lower shipping price was $10.69--still kinda high but MUCH better than $16.16.
Thank you, Paizo, for listening to those of us who thought the shipping price was high and making an adjustment.
P.S. If you want to remove my earlier post on this thread, please go ahead.
So, I'm a little confused (probably because I'm used to the terminology in the Time Thief PDF).
Are "advanced mote powers" the same as advanced temporal talents?
Specifically, I'm thinking about taking Future Vitality for my Time Thief character. At what Time Thief level would I be able to take that?
Thanks, Eric!!! I've been wondering if my item was in there. I'm relieved to know that it was (and that it didn't get culled).
I never saw it, and an extremely similar item made it into the top 32, so I kept thinking maybe I forgot to fill out the subject line of my submission.
I didn't even make the top 89, but I'm glad my item at least had the chance to compete.
Sincere thanks for compiling this list. That's a lot of work. Much appreciated! :)
I like your reviews. I've used them several times to help me make a decision about buying a product. It's so much better than considering an item with no reviews.
I knew you'd done a lot of these, but 1,000!? Holy crap, dude! That's impressive!
I especially like that you call them like you see them. When you're let down by something, you say so, and when you think something is really cool, your passion comes through.
It's obvious you do these because you care. Thanks for all your hard work, End!

Thank you, Cristian!!! :)
This is the sort of thing that made me fall in love with the Paizo community in the first place.
I wish you a safe and happy holiday! The same goes for everyone else here on the messageboards and the Paizo staff as well. Merry Christmas!
I searched online and, you know, I couldn't find a really good Car Wars link. The best one I could find was the Car Wars UK website. Hopefully, once they start the Car Wars Kickstarter in 2013, they'll come up with a revamped website (kind of like they're doing for Shadowrun).
If anyone knows of some other good ones, please share! Thanks!

Will they give you a free copy of the game when it is finished or do they just get paid to have fairly knowledgable (Players like many of you who know the game better than them) put in on how things should go?
You'll still have to pledge toward the Car Wars Kickstarter once they get it rolling if you actually want a copy of the revised game. The only Car Wars thing you could pick up at this point is a T-shirt.
They'll solicit fan feedback (Steve seems to like surrrrveys!), but ultimately it's a product we'll have to pay for. At least we'll get a say in the development--hopefully to a degree that feels worthwhile.
And, yeah, like Whiskey Jack pointed out: It's official! The Ogre Kickstarter has reached over $700,000. There WILL BE a relaunch of Car Wars! BOOYAH! :) I hope this thread helped in some small way.
Shifty, that sounds awesome! :) I liked Whiskey Jack's idea about having cardstock weapons to attach to them, too!
deinol, I think you're right! With 50 hours to go, it looks like the Car Wars thing will happen for sure. I'll still get the T-shirt to show my support. I like that it'll say "I made Steve Jackson work on Car Wars." (Although, like I said, they probably would have worked on it anyway).
And I really like getting access to the early forum. Here's how Steve described it: "an exclusive Car Wars forum, where we’ll build the new edition from the ground up - issues like "which classic cover do we use?," "10 phase, 5 phase, or 3 phase movement?," and "do we include boats?" Once the project launches, surveys will be open to the public, but only supporters of the current project will get in on the preliminary planning."
Did you know than in the original pocket-box edition you had to use a small and large handgun to kill yourself and it took two rounds to do it. A small pistol did 1hp of damage and a large pistol did 2hp of damage. Your driver had 3hp and was knocked unconsious affter taking 2hp damage. To kill yourself you had to shoot yourself with the small gun first, so you don't knock yourself out, and then shoot yourself with the large gun.
OK, no offense Xabulba, that's funny and all, but why the heck would you kill your character like that!?
Is it because he lost a duel to "Ballistic" Bambi Beethoven?
There was also the epic goodness of the Gurps Autoduel Australia supplement
Oh, man! I had forgot about that. All the AADA guides were cool, but I LOVED the Australia one!
Anyhow the $23 Car Wars goodness is US only :(
Shifty, did you see the $30 T-shirt that will ship internationally? I admit that's a lot for a T-shirt, but it's an option.
I'm not sure I like the way SJG is going about it though. SJG want's me to pledge money to restart a game I don't want so that maybe in the future, if they get enough funding, I can pledge more money to get the game I do want.
Yeah, I don't particularly like that, either. In fact, based on all the comments and feedback they've received, I think they'll do a Car Wars Kickstarter regardless. Which means they're just milking us for money. All that being said, however, I don't mind putting up enough money for the T-shirt to kind of "put my money where my mouth is." Maybe they're doing it as one more way to gauge interest.
I also really liked the Uncle Al supplements. In addition to cool armor and weapons for you and your car, they also had all the fun, goofy gadgets--everything from auto targeters to beer refridgerators to switchable ammo magazines. Great stuff! And it was presented in a fun way, like you were really shopping from a catalog. Some of my favorite RPG books ever!
OK, If any of you know what Car Wars is and want to see it resurrected for a new edition from Steve Jackson himself, now is the time to act! Steve Jackson Games is currently running a Kickstarter for Ogre (a different game) that ends in 4 days. If you pledge $23 ($30 internationally), you can get a Car Wars T-shirt, and if the Ogre Kickstarter hits $700,000 (It's currently at about $600,000), they'll officially launch a Car Wars Kickstarter as well. Booyah!
I have fond memories of Car Wars. It's like playing a role-playing game of Mad Max or The Road Warrior. Designing your car was always my favorite part--outfitting it with things like machine guns, armor, pop-up turrets, or even spike droppers and oil slicks. In a post-apocalyptic world, Car Wars was a fight for survival on barren highways, in Autoduel arenas, and everywhere in between. Ah, the memories! Let's bring it back!

That's good news! I'm glad to hear that Time Bandit scales with you.

Would that mean you're also protected from temporary decreases like ability score damage/drain. Or would those not count as "temporary"?
