About Celith
History
Orphaned at an extremely young age during the Tethyrian civil war, Celith was taken in by Grand Master Lou Ki's monastery, "The Order of Souls".
It was a small order but did well and did well in staying clear of the war. But toward the end the Grand Master died, leaving Celith and all of his "brothers" homeless; begging, cheating, and stealing just to survive.
Relationship with Llmater
While Celith calls Ilmater his patron deity, theologians might consider him to be on the outer edge of what Ilmater will put up with from his followers.
In part this is because he is an inexperienced worshiper and commonly misapplies Ilmateri principles, but there is also a seed planted deep within him that blames Ilmater for not protecting people, himself included, from the atrocities of the war.
This leaves Celith in a state where he still looks to Ilmater for guidance, but his heart is not in it.
Of course Ilmater likely guided him to Grand Master Lou Ki's monastery, instead of leaving him to die or otherwise succumb to the horrors on the streets, but in his youth Celith has yet to realize that possibility.
