He managed a brief but silent smile. The size of that well bunnyman was more than impressive. He certainly didnt want to cross him considering how feirce Inle was.
"It is good to see you are indeed fine my friend." He said with a grin, the picture of Sialea smuggering the Rabbit fellow was almost too amusing. The he remember they were also about to go speak to a cult. He couldnt think of any time that something like that ended well.
"On the plus side my friend, if the machine... goes haywire and doesnt kill you I can fix that." He added with a smile that said he was jesting to keep the mood light. "Yes lets hurry, do not worry Inle, you will be fine im sure of it."
He frowned and shook his head. "I am very sorry my friend, I didnt even think of such things with all the goings on. Hold still and let me take a look at you."
His mind had seemed calm and warm in the morning as he gathered his thoughts in ritual prayer, slowly leafing through the pages of his holy book. It wasnt until the end of his prayers that his thoughts veered torwards troubled things, a tiny spark of worry set in the back of his mind. He should have asked the the folk they ran across yesterday if they had been suffering from headaches, or had some dark thing in the recesses of their mind. He glanced to Sialea... He should have asked Sialea if she could have helped his daughters night terrors. He shook it off, there was work to be done. If all went well, they could speak with this cult peacefully. he had doubts that it would go so smoothly however. cleric spells memorized: 1st levelMurderous command DC 15, Bless, Cause Fear, (D) Sanctuary. 0-level - Mending, Detect Magic, Light, Guidance
"I am not very effective at sneaking, but walking straight in to a cult with the express purpose of just seeing what they are about seems...risky." He finished his words by stretching and then adjusting his holy symbol.

Picked up a terrible case of food poisoning, at the hospital getting IV's will be back up to posting Monday i hope Sorry >.<
"We are certainly no friends of the Technic league. I rate them as slightly better than the crud you wipe off your boots before you go inside on most days." He began neutrally. He certainly wasnt about to worship any god, besides Nethys. Ever so subtly he adjusted his robes not to hide his holy symbol really as to well make it less obvious. "How many worshipers are with your high priestess? Does she have any acolytes with her?" He began trying his best to sound merely curious totally not trying to dig out any tactical information or anything.
" I dont know why we should anything pleasant but perhaps we will be surprised." He added making sure his crossbow was loaded and shouldered ready to fire if need be.
Wednesday or Thursday I should be able to resume full time posting :)
"I believe the answer is you Inle' " He said with a smile giving the fury filled rabbit warrior a friendly nod. He held up his holy symbol and focused letting out a wave of positive healing energy.
Crazy weekend. Two things have occured, My long term relationship has dissolved in a messy fashion, and the manager at the place I work has passed away in a car accident. I'm defacto in charge now for the next few weeks until The regional director can arrange for us to have someone in charge. What that means for you all folk is that for the next two weeks (or so) I will probably be too busy to post daily, but i will post when i can. Once again Im terrible sorry, but I will get full speed again in a few weeks.
He reloaded and frowned at the creatures. They certainly were determined. Everything was happening to so fast he wasnt sure he would be able to get another good shot off so he kept back out of the way.
"No sense in waiting I suppose" He said with a sigh taking aim and firing his crossbow over the battle bunny at the creature in front of them.
He frowned at their growling response. Whatever they were they were territorial. Sharp teeth too, no doubt they wouldnt be happy with just a spare sausage or two. "I dont suppose they will calm down and be friendly.Dont step in front of me." He began reaching for the sausages while kneeling down and sketching a quick rune on the ground in front of him.

"More food, we can do that..." He said quietly trying not to stare at the creature too terribly hard.
Slowly as to not cause any alarm he slowly removed his pack and rummaged through for the food tubes.... and after a second he pulled out a spare sausage to toss it to the snow leopard. He handed the tubes to Inle and nodded.
"I still have those food tubes in my pack..." He whispered lowly while trying to figure out what in the nine hells that thing was.
With the fighting done he took a moment to channel his god's favor and release a burst of healing energy over everyone... He took a good long look at the chieftain's hammer. "It magical... No doubt its weighted perfectly to cause better accuracy and pain." He said lowly his eyes aglow as he studied it.
Grumbling at the lack of the bolts effect...especially considering that right afterwards the damage caused by the plant creature He reached up and gripped his holy Symbol focusing his will and murmering a quick prayer His hand now aglow with the magical energy he hurried over to
He tried to use his crossbow again, wrenching it back and loading it, then taking aim and firing it at the plant person leader.
He shrugged at the ray's effects and took a step back clutching his holy symbol and calling out to his god to bless the party.
"well then, a shame we couldnt understand them." He began even as he focused and threw a bolt of heavenly energy torwards their leader as their others began to move hopefully before it became too crowded.
"Any Idea what these things are?" He asked moving forward with his quarter staff and using it to sort of shoo away the creatures from Inle'
He picked up one of the hammers and tucked it into his belt just in case but he nodded to the others. " We certainly are down here to explore and see what we can find.
He paused and sat at the edge of the moldy room his sky blue eyes lost a bit of focus as he paused and studied the thing they had found. There was a slight frown on his face as he studied the intricacies of the ring. After a moment he set it aside then began to look at the potions. "It's magical... but ive no idea its properties yet...."
Not wanting to crowd the others in there battling the foes he took aim with his crossbow and tried to carefully fire it at the remaining creature.
He barely glanced in the room, the sight of the strange dangerous looking fungus had him backing away from the fungus on the table. "I could try to see if that fungus is flammable without stepping inside if you wish." He added to no one in particular.
Celen certainly wished he had spent more time studying with Mr. Baine about all these wonderful devices. just with so much happening at home since the Birth of their daughter, he never found the time to retake up learning about the technology. Thrown devices that did all sorts of amazing things sounded great. "Good finds I suppose. Im sure those up above would love to study such things." He added with an appreciative nod.
We havent been that way yet, seems as good a choice as any other really." He responded to Inle's question with a nod torwards the door he had just pointed at.
"You dont think its that shopowner already do you Inle'? He asked with a frown.
Out of charector we hold on to that sucker until its needed for us, Celen... well He's on the do whatever we can to help the town and townfolk, but . . . he is aware this is a party orientated decision
"Parda! In all the excitement i had almost forgotten about her." He began clearly saddened by that fact. He frowned looking at the canvas covered corpse his mind of course instantly going to the scroll the councellor had given them. He knew the cost of such a scroll... but he would use it on her in a heartbeat if the choice was his alone. He tosses the silky gorgeous cat a few sausages to keep him/her from getting any ideas.
"We can head down now I suppose, I will need to stop at a store somewhere for a few more little sausages I believe or take our furry friend home. Can't have him wandering about loose. He will hurt someone or get hurt." He said nodding to the pretty furred great cat.

"As Inle said, yes we have the connecting device needed... along with something I hope will be helpful in our further journeys under Torch if we continue along that route." He fished out more of the sausages for Whitefang while making a mental note to definitely acquire more. He watched the power relay intently, his curiousity about it kept in bay by his healthy respect for his lack of knowledge about it. He would certainly have all sorts of questions for Mr. Baine and his daughters about it later. "Ah excellent councilor Freddert. I'm sure we could all use the coin."
The deal down the aasimar frowned. They hadnt exactly made plans for when and how to meet up again, best to perhaps see what to do about Whitefang. He was sure his wife would be thrilled about the snow leopard. Or not. She was hard to read sometimes. "What do you think Inle? should we see if the girls are still at that uh.. house of ill repute or do you think they have went elsewhere?" He asked trying to figure out the best place to store those injectors.
"Hmm, I'll have to think about those items, they sound nice and useful but you know major purchases have to go through the wife."
He said using that as an excuse for his disinterest. It was tempting, but discussion would still be needed with the others for purchases as that magnitude. He glanced down towards Inle'. "How much might you be willing to drop those numbers further if I were to say... describe the directions to the best places for you to salvage right off? What dangers we avoided already and passed and what you might run into?" |
