The thick skin of his Eidolon protects Cedric from the skeleton's blade. Cedric then unleashes a flurry of teeth and claws.
Once Cedric is able to see he will pick up a rock or something similar from the ground and cast light on it.
"Give me a moment" Cedric says as he works in the dark to summon his eidolon companion.
Cedric takes a moment to make sure his boots of the cat are buckled tightly. "Leap of faith or not, it doesn't hurt to be prepared."
Cedric looks on, truly impressed with Fell's ability. "Yes, what do we owe you for your services. I'm sure we will be requiring them again in the future."
"I am sorry, but we have not seen eight. Will you be at the location very long? Perhaps there is a place we can send eight to meet you if we find him." Cedric pulls on his beard, [/b] Wait isn't mechanus the clockwork plane? Weren't they having some troubles out there?"[/b]
"Soooo, sixteen. What brings you to this tavern? Come to think of it which plane are you from?"
Cedric pays the inn keeper before looking over at the strange cube like creature. "Best say something Lun, it might get angry if you don't reply."
"So how much is it for three rooms anyway?" Cedric inquires as the others seem to be checking their pockets.
"Well I could use a nice rest after all this running around. Not entirely sure when I slept last." Cedric says before stifling a yawn. "This portal hopping really messes with one's perception of time."
Cedric looks at the floating mimir. "Found it in a pile of heads while trying to escape the abyssal plane." He then ponders if Esteban has offered him anything for free yet.
Cedric's little gnome eyes light up at the mention of a plane made of all clockwork. "A problem with the big machine you say? Well hopefully we may find ourselves out that way."
"That would be Lissandra, she send use here to check on you in exchange for some info on a portal." Cedric replies to the wizard. "Now that we've got you out of that mess, is there any message you'd like for us to take back to her?"
Cedric will approach the mayor. "This really is going to be the best bet for your village. I mean look at the size of him, and think how much work he can do for the village. It also appears that he works for sheep, not a bad bargain if you ask me." The gnome flashes his best smile.
Cedric scratches his head as he tries to figure out the wizard's ramblings. "Well hopefully we can convince the beavers to help now that we have the giant on our side."
Cedric ponders the old wizards words. "If what you say is true then do you have any ideas on how we can profit from this?"
"Quickly run in the opposite direction of the sheep." Cedric says as he follows his own advice.
"Go quickly, I'll shout if he starts back." Cedric says as he concentrates on keeping the giant busy.
Cedric takes a few moments to prepare the spell, using the proper hand gestures and ancient words. Upon completion of the spell an eagle just out of the giants reach.
"I could try summoning something to distract the Giant and lead it off?" Cedric suggests.
"That would not be me."
"Right so who is going out there to talk to him?" Cedric looks around, hoping they don't all look at him.
"Perhaps I should make a distraction?" Cedric whispers to his companions.
Cedric holds his breath, hoping the Giant does not see Lun Tsu.
"Looks like they aren't going to budge on this, and since the town was here first I believe they have the right to this place." Cedric says to the group.

"Why did the big man help you? Also did another man come an break your dam?"
"I can see why you would want those things. However I think you may be building in a less then optimal spot. Perhaps we could find a better stop that could hold more water, which means bigger fish." Cedric offers.
As Lun Tsu waits for a reply Cedric looks at the flow of the water. "The best lead is probably going to be following the water back to it's source."
"Wait now I'm even more confused." Cedric says as he scratches his head. "Those older gentlemen by the road send us over here like you were expecting us. Now you don't seem to know what is going on either."
"Odd that they seem to be expecting us. Oh well what could it hurt to help the locals." Cedric says as he heads toward the clock tower.
"Thank you kindly for the directs, now I think you mentioned something about fey creatures? Are they really that hostile to outsiders?" Cedric asks while raising a concerned eyebrow.
Cedric will begin asking around about any local wizards that have moved over from Sigil.
"So do we jump through or get our own key to insure a way back?" Cedric asks as he looks at his new friends expectantly.
Cedric looks to the Mimir. "Does it take the same key to get back from a portal?"
"A quick hop through another portal and a glimpse of another plane, sure why not." He turns to go and adds, "You'll be hearing from us again soon, lets go check out this market ward." Cedric then heads off in a random direction not releasing he has no idea where the market ward is.
"Sorry I am still new here, what is 'the jink' you speak of."
"Actually I was more interested in quick escape portals. Like the one the dwarf fellow probably used when he jumped out of view over at the temple. A little guy like myself could find a few portals like that useful."
"Greets, my name is Cedric and you are just the person I was hoping to run into her in Sigil. I have a great interest in the different planes and all the portals that lead to them. Rumor has it that you seem to be the most knowledgeable one on the subject. If you have a moment to share some of your wisdom with a amateur explorer." Cedric says as he flashes he friendliest smile.
I agree the pacing is slow making it difficult to remember to check the thread. I'd like to continue, but we need to push more with our posts. Make them lead somewhere or express interest in a destination or action.
"Discretion, got it. Any suggestions on our motives for our inquiries on the situation? Figure we'll start with the gate-keeper Lissandra" Cedric says as takes in the mans veiled message.
"I'll take a pair of those comfy looking blue boots. These have been properly enchanted to give cat like reflexes when falling yes?"
Cedric ponders what they may be facing. "I wouldn't mind picking up some boots of the cat. Just in case I take a tumble down this pit."
"Soooo we go track down leads?" Cedric asks as he is eager to tackle the task at hand.
Cedric hisses back at No Levar, "You still have it? I thought we were just going to ditch it some where it wouldn't do any harm. That junk plane we were just in would have done nicely."
Cedric shrugs and follows Krachxton as he has no knowledge of this place.
