Cal is quite an attractive man, but very youthful looking. Though twenty-six, his elven blood belays his true age making him appear several years younger.
Slender of build, Cal is stronger than he appears. Call is just over six feet in height, and has fine pale blond hair which appears almost white. His eyes are a deep shade of purple, another sign of his elven ancestry.
Cal likes to wear high quality clothing, balking at the standard garish outfits many entertainers wear. He is generally found with a rueful smile, and a devilish look that suggests some mischief is ever on his mind.
Cal is a relaxed, humorous and fun-loving individual possessing an easy going confidence and demeanor. He has also been described as being somewhat lackadaisical.
Cal is certainly a talented entertainer, and quick of wit and mind. He is also somewhat brash, lacking the wisdom seen in his older brothers. His quick tongue and rueful demeanor have been known to land him in some trouble from time to time.
Background Story:
Calinthas (Cal) is the product of an affair between a wondering Elven Minstrel and the widow of a wealthy Knight from Rostland named Lara Aldimay. Though raised as part of the Aldimay family with his two older human brothers, Calinthas stands to inherit nothing as the third son and a half breed. Having been raised in relative privilege, Cal mastered the arts and music at the Academy in Restov. After his education, he also took up the sword and trained for a time with the Aldori Swordlords, showing some ability with the blade. Like many of his pursuits though, Cal put minimal effort into his blade practice before abandoning his sword training.
The years that followed allowed Calinthas to wander through most of Rostland, earning his way through the gift of his voice and by virtue of his wit. Being the charming and adventurous type much like his biological father, Cal has yearned evermore in recent months to explore beyond the fields of Rostland to the world beyond.
~ The Aldimay's ~
The Aldimay family has ostensibly if somewhat unenthusiastically supported House Rogarvia. In recent years though, the Aldimay's have done their best to remain outside of the unstable political world of the Brevoy Royal Court. Since the death of Lara's husband Sir Edmund Aldimay, the allegiance of the Aldimay's has been up in the air, as Cal's older brother Harmond has questioned whether supporting House Rogarvia is worthwhile in the current political climate.
