During the battle, his parents were killed and the artifact his father built was destroyed causing an explosion of radiation
Caedmon was the only survivor, though he was hideously scarred
Found at 9 years old by barbarians and raised. Picked on and forced to fight.
Taken in by a female barbarian who taught him their customs. Always an outsider. Forced to earn respect.
Eventually left to live by himself in the harsh plains (after his "mother" died)
Survived in the wild and scavenged mechanical parts and sky metals to sell in Torch
Known smuggler of Tech (Against Technic League control)
Still has a book of engineering from his dad
Spent the last seven years trading with barbarian tribes and selling/trading/smuggling in Torch
Has a makeshift hut about 5 miles from torch. Respected by the local barbarian tribes.
Bartered and traded with Khonnir Baine. The wizard took a liking to him and would buy him a meal to learn about his life and see what “goodies” Caedmon had to offer.
Khonnir Baine was the only “civilized” person who had shown Caedmon kindness or treated him like a human since the accident.
Caedmon is traveling to torch to find out what happened to the wizard.
