I picture an Inquisitor most fundamentally as someone out there fighting heresy. Wasn't that the point historically? We don't think of them as all that appealing considering the belligerence and brutality we're told about. There's a character type there though - zealous and combative. In game terms that could be a persuasive and fighty type, without the appeal of, say, a bard or an evangelist minister.

So how about someone who can inspire with wisdom instead of charisma?

Maybe a class feat 'Insightful Rendition' to apply wisdom to a performance check. This could provide things like bard-like inspiration, impart a pseudo-teamwork effect, at least temporarily, or to castigate, demoralize and condemn like a Judgement.
Maybe circumstantial means to apply wisdom to other face skills could be something to consider... specialized class skill feats?
Aside from that I'd definitely see smiting as part of the class. Modest divine spell casting would fit the flavor too.

This could possibly be a Champion archetype. Are there any plans for a divine splatbook like Secrets of Magic was for Arcana?

I feel observations about the adventure path archetype Staff Acrobat are a bit flawed and I would really like to see some numbers to back it. How does its' benefits lend to a dex-based Inexorable Iron? It seems quite obviously beneficial to a strength-based Inexorable Iron Magus spinning about with a polearm. Considering the added vulnerability of the lack of a shield on a two-hander the use of a reach weapon seems mighty convenient. Yes, the high dex requirement is MAD, but couldn't this also make for a strength-based twisting tree magus too? I have not looked closely at twisting tree possibilities though.
Incidentally, I did see the Filcher's Fork in the spear group, which seemed like a hilarious opportunity for a Halfling Magus with a Cook background, carrying Scooby snacks as a healing benefit. In a way that could fit the view of a dex-based Inexorable Ironer, although not being a 2-hander I'm not sure it actually qualifies.
Are there weapons or options I've missed?

I like your idea that it's a specialized trip. Just the same, I wouldn't think that all trip weapons could be used for this. A sickle unseating? I think not. Pole-arms don't get a lot of love, either in 3.5 or PF. It'd be interesting (to me at least) to make some pole-arm specific boosts. Otherwise no one ordinarily considers taking a focus in one, except maybe the halberd, just 'cause it's d10 & good crit range.
We've got about 10 different pole-arms in-game, inherited from EGG & Chainmail that no one pays attention to, and each has at least 1 boost to a combat maneuver. Is it much of a stretch to find an additional means to make them more useful?

Another idea - maybe a teamwork feat would be required to unhorse someone by two halberdiers.

How can we handle the pole-arm's historical design intended for unseating mounted combatants? The back-end of the halberd and many glaive-type weapons was always intended for this purpose. Considering the halberd is a trip weapon in the game, would the trip bonus also apply for an unseat maneuver? I'm picturing a mounted combatant passing through a threatened square of an unmounted combatant with a relevant pole-arm. We have at least 1 class (cavalier) with a primary ability of mounted attack/charging. I would think there ought to be at least one way to counter it.
My questions are:
1) Can we get rules for a combat maneuver to unseat, and a method a little more attainable than the Unseat feat?
2) Which weapons (pole-arms in general?) could apply a bonus to this action?
3) Could there be pole-arm-style feats/archetypes/combat tricks/etc. to enhance this ability?

Some of the recommendations in Z's Gish guide are not optimal, but of themselves obviously good. I recommend that Tatoo'ed Sorcerer be of value green, not blue. The archetype is emphatically about a familiar, but for a gish the levels don't work.
Priority for the gish is BAB, and the problem is that the best familiars require arcane level 7. Wizards achieve EK eligibility at 5, Sorcerers at 6. If BAB is a focus then level 12 is of note, particularly if you're playing Society, where 12 is the normal play cap.
The best Improved Familiars are with arcane level 7. Using the extra levels to acquire the best available familiar, like a Steam Mephit will prevent access to feats that require BAB 9, like Critical Focus.
This assumes 1 martial level, no more.
Someone please check me - if there's a way to get the best familiars AND a BAB of 9 by level 12 I'm all ears.
