At first glance, Byakurai appears to be a simple vesk, standing just over 7 1/2 feet tall. Their scales, however, are faded out to a deathly gray pallor and eyes glowing red without any augmentations, belying the notion that they share anything with others of that species beyond physical shape. Floating nearby is a stellar mote of energy, a pale white pulsar flickering in and out of existence as if it was trying to find the strength to generate life.

1 - Solar Manifestation (Su) Solar Flare: Byakurai's solar manifestation takes the form of spiked chains of refracted sunlight that pierce the skin of his arm and hand in a way that looks quite painful. From this pain, however, they are able to fire beams of Sarenrae's brilliant sunlight to strike at enemies.
1 - Stellar Mode (Su) Can choose between Photon, Graviton, or Unattuned at the start of combat and the start of each subsequent round.
- Photon: Become photon-attuned, gain 1 photon point, gain +1 insight bonus to damage rolls.
- Graviton: Become graviton-attuned, gain 1 graviton point, gain +1 insight bonus to reflex saves.

4 - Stellar Revelation: Gravity Hold (Su) (Can move objects as per Psychokinetic Hand. When fully/attuned, can immobilize, lift, or move a Medium or smaller creature. DC 16 Fortitude save negates. While under this effect, the target cannot move (but can take any other normal actions). Cannot lift a creature higher than 5 feet off the ground. When spending a standard action to maintain the hold, the target can attempt a new save. Once a creature saves against this ability, it is immune for 24 hours.

Borai - Resist Energy Drain: Borai take no penalties from energy drain (but can still be destroyed if negative levels exceed class levels), and remove negative levels 24 hours later without new saving throws.
Borai - Deathly: For effects targeting creatures by type, borais count as both humanoids and undead (whichever effect is worse). They are immune to negative energy damage and gain a +1 racial bonus to saving throws against disease, exhaustion, fatigue, mind-affecting effects, paralysis, poison, sleep effects, and stunning.
Borai - Living Shell: A borai counts as a living creature for the purposes of what can affect him (such as magic healing). If destroyed, a borai can be brought back to his normal undead state by spells (such as raise dead) that restore life to his body as if he were alive.

Solar Disciple Theme (1) Theme Knowledge: Reduce the DC of Physical Science checks to recall knowledge about scientific questions concerning the sun and light by 5. Reduce the DC of Mysticism checks to recall knowledge about sun-focused religions, the Elemental Plane of Fire, and the Positive Energy Plane by 5. +1 Wisdom, +1 Perception.

Scoured Stars Veteran (Slotless Boon; Limited-Use): By partaking in the Starfinder Society’s second expedition into the Scoured Stars you helped evacuate those Starfinders stranded from the previous mission. Whether you formed a close bond with a rescued Starfinder or saw firsthand the dangers of the Scoured Stars, the Society has earned an experienced agent as a result. Rescued Starfinder: You can start a new character who begins at 2nd level. This new PC begins play with 3 XP, 2,160 credits, 5 Fame, and 5 Reputation with the faction that character selects a faction boon for. You must keep a copy of this Chronicle sheet with the character.

Bone Sages Respect (Personal Boon; Limited Use): By turning the Wings of Damiar sarcesians over to the Eoxian authorities, you’ve earned the attention of several bone sages on the world of Eox. This boon is not slotted into your Personal boon slot as a normal boon. Instead, you can call upon this boon any time your character dies and requires raise dead to return to life. The character who dies must be a member of a core race listed in the Starfinder Core Rulebook. When using this boon, you can reduce the Fame cost of a raise dead spell by 2, though it has no effect on other costs (such if the spell is purchased with credits).

When you use this boon after death, the ensuing raise dead does not go entirely as planned, and you return to (un)life as a borai (Starfinder Pact Worlds 211). Immediately remove your racial Hit Points and the ability adjustments that come from your previously selected race, and instead apply the borai modifications (6 Hit Points, +2 Con, –2 Cha, –2 Wis). In addition, you lose all racial traits associated with your former race and instead gain all racial traits associated with the borai race. The old talents racial trait benefit must correspond to your former race. This boon now permanently occupies your Personal boon slot, and you must bring a copy of Starfinder Pact Worlds to all sessions in which you play this character as if access to this race were granted by the Additional Resources list.

Dream Whispers (Ally Boon): Because you researched its dreamspun tales, the Liavaran Dreamer known as Whisperer of Solar Winds has taken an interest in you. When you slot this boon, the Dreamer imparts some knowledge to you in the form of a cryptic comment that may prove helpful later in your mission. Once per adventure, anytime you miss an attack or fail a saving throw, you can call upon the Dreamer’s mysterious message. You immediately count your roll as being 2 higher, which may allow you to hit your target or to succeed on your save. If you roll a natural 1 on your attack or save, you cannot use this ability.

Private Vault (Slotless Boon; Vanity): The staff of the Communion Vaults takes note of your actions in helping to resolve Whisperer of Solar Winds’ dreamspun tales. The staff provide you with a reasonable space of your own within the Communion Vaults. This 20-by-20-foot square chamber can be used to store any major magical finds you’ve recovered or purchased during your travels. You can bring any number of creatures into this space whenever you like. While this chamber is mostly a personal accomplishment and an area you can show off to others, it does have one tangible benefit: the entire area within your vault is warded by a nondetection effect (caster level 10th).

For the Future First (Slotless Boon; Limited-Use): When you earn this boon it has no immediate benefits. At the start of Starfinder Society Year 3, when the new Second Seekers faction becomes available, you can immediately activate this boon to earn 4 Reputation with the newly selected First Seeker (Avor Stelek, Calder Soren, Ehu Hadif, or Tara Nova).

Society Solidarity (Social Boon): By helping Luwazi Elsebo to review the potential candidates for her successor, you also had the opportunity to assist many different Society agents. When you slot this boon, you call upon your personal prestige, letting other forces know that you’re putting yourself in danger. When this boon is slotted, you reduce the Fame cost of having your body recovered by 2 and reduce the Fame cost of raise dead on you by 4. Stain of the Perplexity (Personal): Whether you remember the events or not, the Perplexity has seared itself onto your soul. Scoured Flora: At the end of a session, you can harvest parts of your plant and use them as part of a medicinal concoction to heal 1 point of permanent ability damage, though you can use this ability healing only on yourself. Alternatively, you can use a part harvested from this plan to increase the effective caster level of any one spell cast by an ally or purchased as a service at the end of the session by 2 without increasing the cost of the spell. The spell receiving this benefit must restore hit points, remove ability damage, or remove an affliction (such as a curse or disease). This caster level increase does not stack with other effects that increase the spell’s effective caster level. You can use this secondary effect on a spell purchased by an ally.
