Appearance:
Brutus Tarsi doesn't cut a physically imposing figure. He is 5'8, and weighs roughly 150 pounds. The weight is distributed well and, though thin, he doesn't look frail. In fact, along his arms, legs, in his neck and shoulders, his muscles are well defined and taunt. It is obvious that he possesses strength and agility, but not an overwhelming amount. Many a woman has tossed around terms like good-looking and handsome when referring to Brutus Tarsi. His olive skin on top of his fit frame, his black shoulder-length hair that is always tied in a top-knot, and his shaved cheeks and chin were just a few of the features that caused the compliments. But it was his eyes most of all that left an impression on you. Bright green, almost Emerald eyes that spoke volumes were what most people remembered Brutus for. Many say that the eyes are the window to the soul, and for Brutus, when people looked into his eyes, they came away with the impression that they had met an "old soul," someone who had seen and experienced more than their years should have allowed. An oddity that is not seen by many is found on the tops of each of Brutus' feet. It is a birthmark, in the shape of the constellation known as the Satyr. This reminds him, that no matter where his feet lead him, that life is a gift and it is meant to be lived well.

Personality:
Brutus Tarsi is a surprising person to deal with. While many monks have the stereotype of rigid, humorless, and strict, Brutus is just the opposite. He has a great sense of humor, can be sarcastic, and enjoys good natured ribbing at others expense. He never would insult, or mean to cause offense (though he has stuck his foot in his mouth more than once,) he just really enjoys spending time with those he cares about, and wants to make that time enjoyable for them as well. While not naive, Brutus tends to marginalize danger as well as problematic circumstances as best he can either by a joke, or by taking an optimistic view of things.

Personally, Brutus believes in self-discipline, and he believes in controlling his negative emotions, while allowing himself to indulge in the joyful, life-giving emotions as well. He seeks not to be controlled by anger, hatred, jealousy, lust, or revenge, but rather, to be a joyful presence wherever he goes. He doesn't expect anyone else to live according to his standard, but will freely share his philosophy and viewpoints on life if invited to.

For someone so full of life, it might seem odd to find them out on the battlefield. However, Brutus takes a simple approach to that. He knows that there are many people who aren't able to defend themselves, and he has skills and abilities that allow him to stand in their place, and defend them. So that is what he does. He puts his weapons and his abilities to work in causes he believes in, and he tries to make the journey, battles and all, a joyful experience for all.
