So much to catch up to, but I'm back just not sure if completely back, have physical therapy and some hardcore medication that keeps me half numb most of the time, but will try to read, but I'm sorry if it gets to overwhelming.
"So this is were you have come, after showing us endless carnage and devastation?" Decius shrugs his shoulder "Pitiful, let us help you on your way back through the hole you crawled out of"
Decius takes a half move back, to put some distance "Keep smiling"

I know, it's hard to gauge, I mean we are high ranks, and have access to information superficially, but how much is superficial common enough and what requires an actual skill investment and roll"
"We will kill as many as we require until they know peace, or peace es established from their deaths. Lest be careful not to become that what unites them against us in the process" as Decius continues to survey the battlefield, when he realizes something "Didn't that daemon and his host fled through the same portal? This is what fueled his power?" pointing at the senseless killing and blood spilling "My knowledge of chaos is not to well, but they somehow remind me of something..."
Decius steady gait goes past his brothers to look upon the city that halted the eldar. "Chaos. That is all that awaits down there."
Decius doesn't know why we are approaching the Eldar, but it is clear he cannot leave this place alive or in chains after haven seen them.
"Stop, let them kill themselves, they are yet unaware of our presence let's keep it so for now. We might learn more." as Decius refuses to move like a mountain.
Toughness 80 1d100 ⇒ 66 1DoS
Decius plants his feet on the floor and takes on the wave of corruption, standing defiant as an impregnable wall refusing to fall.
"He failed to deliver" wasting no effort to hide dislike, leaving the space wolf to it "I will cover you brother Othair"
So my Half move is 4 regular power armor. They don't make terminator armor for Sons of Antaeus unless you are someone important, you know size matters lol

I failed 1 roll, go figure lol
Toughness 60 +20 1d100 ⇒ 11 (Sealed Power Armor)
The corruption is palpable you could probably taste it if he wasn't using his helmet. Decius uses the cracks left by the daemon, using his superior height and reach way better than the other marines in bulkier armor and shorter in size.
"You are small brother, but your barking is the loudest" as Decius continues his decent with a grin in his face.
We need 4 climb tests?
I want that bolter! It has Rof 8? Better than my HB of in full auto 6 =3
"Don't matter where you stand filth, we will be there to meet you"
Wolves fight the Greater daemon we deal with the horde then?
Shit just got real
You desecrate the ground you stand, and the Emperor's will, both diserving of death. The wrath of the Gigas is upon you filth" Decius begins to shower the greater daemon with bolter fire "By Bolter fire I purify your wretched existence and by fire I will cleanse your presence and your miserable blight upon the earth you thread upon"

"Let them be cleansed by bolter and fire" Decius follows looking for spots he can take to create killzones with his heavy bolter.
I don't think we are, they are in a Chimera that left, I believe
Decius takes a pinch of the dirt in the ground and drops it slowly
"Well met brothers" as he stands as tall as any other in terminator armor perhaps a bit taller.
"Tainted blood, leaves a stench, but as long as I have ground under my feet, the Emperor will see me through"
"I have no time for petty squabbles" Decius will take the two protruding fangs from the Carnifex jaw as trophy.
"I'm a giant. Wolf, next time more action, less barking and howling, I believe you are capable of such things."
Decius makes his way towards the installation, having new trophies to display.
Decius sees the futility of thinking the horde anymore, so he focuses on one the Carnifex.
Switching to Felling (1)
"Let the true giants fight" as Decius continues to release a payload of fury on his new target.

It's 4 Warriors, 1 carnifex, 3 guards, 1 tyrant + anoter giant critter?
106 holy shit lol, I'll just shoot synapse creatures
Decius stands before his brothers and commences to rain holy bolter fire on the tyranid horde, trying to lower the number of 'gaunts.

"Well brothers, unless you are drooping on all 4 and run faster we have no time to spare and we must keep the advantage, so choose which way we are going."
Decius speed might caught some by surprise for such a giant amongst giants is faster than most even with his heavy bolter that looks more like bolter in his hands. "Pick up the pace brother, I will bring the rear"
"The ground beneath my feat gives me comfort" as Decius follows the space wolf into the jungle and readies to let go a barrage of bolter fire to anything that could come into range, to cover the rest of the marines.
"I hear some grumbling in the engines and the cockpit I guess we must brace for landing" as Decius realizes what the others have, swearing vengeance upon the Xeno filth.
I will make the run towards the installation, or as close as I can get.
Strength Test 50 1d100 ⇒ 6
A giant standing above all other Astartes by at least a head and broader of shoulders and bigger proportions walks into the cockpit as the other astartes sprawl like ants thinking of what they can do and how to survive. "I rather take this fight at ground level" as he struggles to secure his overly large frame in the pilot seat and pilot the Thunderhawk to the ground as safely as possible giving the circumstances.
Pilot (Space Craft) 55 1d100 ⇒ 38
I added 2 more things the Crushing Blow talent and Combat Marks: Master at Arms
Master at Arms makes any ranged weapon I hold Reliable and gives it 2 fo the following qualities (only one applies and can be changed every round)
Accurate, Blast(2), Felling (1), Scatter or Tearing. I am using it with the Heavy Bolter. after this I'll spend the Req. for some gear, which I am lacking plenty lol I focused on skills and characteristics.
We don't need no melee...
"I will break you with my heavy bolter, failing to do so you will break in the bastion of flesh that is my body, a bulwark and testament of my power as a Son of Antaeus. Your death is assured..."
This is my tentative character, Brother Decius of the Sons of Antaeus.
I have spent only 31950 Exp of the 34650, open to suggestions and review of course.
"The time has come and the Emperor Protects" waiting to see what the opening of the doors will bring us.
I wasn't getting updates in this game for some reason, it made it look like it was no new post lol, will catch up
Brother Decius looks at Brother Emeric and Vex awaiting for whatever they need to help them solve the puzzle that this vault has proven to be.
"Have faith in the Emperor Brother Emeric listen to him and he will guide your hand, now just do what you would instinctively would do to operate such device." as he walks close to brother Emeric "Never doubt the Emperor will guide you when you most need it, have faith in your skills as a marine and you shall be fine."
This is the first time Decius is struck with awe and is not sure what to do now, since it seems the only thing he can do is let the Emperor guide him and do his bidding.
My PC died on me sorry to be "out" but I'm back in a borrowed pooptop while I get my PC back. Will post soon.
Brother Decius places the blade into the slot as indicated and waits for what it's coming next.
I take the sword that is now adorning the backpack of my power armor as a badge of honor. "I do have it with me" as he presents the blade to Emeric but not letting go of it. "It is here"
Decius is just confused as to how or what, but his faith has not abandoned him that he is there to find out how. "Brother Hrothgar, can you look at the place were the blade fits and the move so I can thrust my spear in it. I have faith this can work, I trust the Emperor will guide and protect.
Decius cannot believe the door has n way to open and tries to find something that might give him a hint or a clue as to how to do it.
Perception 1d100 ⇒ 42
Guess it is not meant to be... sob, sob, sniff, sniff
Decius looks to his squad leader for further order once they arrive "This seems to be what I could call a proper sign" as he looks at the portal trying to find someway to open it and uttering the words The Emperor Protects...
"The Emperor Protects" as Decius gives then a nod and carries on with his duty to his squad.
So am I not to survive this? as he begins to wonder why his chapter is not amongst those shown.
Well we shall see Vault, for even you must submit to the Emperor's will.
Brother Decius speaks no word hoping that Brother Emeric will not suffer a weird meltdown trying something in the vault. He would rather go with the door, but he will let the Emperor guide him as he guides the bullets from his bolter.
Brother Decius nods in acknowledgement of Brother Emeric words and keeps close guard to him The light of the Emperor guide you Emeric... putting all his hopes that Brother Emeric can give them something to go on.
Decius ignoring the words of the brother as simply misguided anger and answering "Where there is doubt, I shall sow faith. Where there is rage, I shall show its course. My word in the soul shall be as my bolter in the field." as he then walks forward "Let us move for we are wasting time here, and let us face what the vault has for us"
Silent Move 1d100 ⇒ 12
Awareness 1d100 ⇒ 8
Security 1d100 ⇒ 47
Keeping his stance still an only nodding in acknowledgement of Brother Quintus words, I respond "It was my duty to shine the Emperor's light in the darkness Brother Quintus, nothing more" as if what he did was just something to be expected of him and not worthy of praise or commendation. "We strive for victory, but this is not it. What may be less obvious is the nature of victory. There are circumstances such as these, and yet the victory may not be ours. In all situations, we must first decide on the nature of victory, and then take steps to secure it." after a moment of silence "This is but just one step of many still to come, but victory will not be ours unless e figure out what it is."
