Evil sorceror, level 10, plans to go solo and so decides to trap and kill group leader (level 17). Uses poison and metamagic along with contingency to cast a certain portion of all slots in advance. Now Evil Sorceror can quick advance 7 Levels as an Assassin (with hit point benefit) and now a Base Attack Bonus of (5+5) 10?
Just a little jab at the norm. Who says EVERY gnome is good at making stuff anyway! Shouldn't there be some way to know that the best stuff was made by real gnomes? And +2, what is that about? Have the gnomes been cleansed? Someone please react to this unilateral any gnome is as good as another policy. I want assurities!
In another thread it was stated that there are no facing rules to define observation. This may be the case, said poster should perhaps take some time to IMAGINE the game. It may be the case that some guardian is observing all things in all directions in full darkness AND through walls! Without directly stipulating through the game setting, obviously observation is in the LINE OF SIGHT, a topic which has been written about. Dear poster of this other thread, please expand your mind and your library. On the topic, STEALTH is very powerfull and to any being stealthy it is your perogative to wait until your moment of choice to advance under cover with the maximun difficulty possible PRESENTED TO any who would detect you. The issue here is FIRST STRIKE and RECONISANCE, two masterful elements in RPG'ing.
Hi, I want to start a game soon. So let me know if you want to play. I live near Valley and San Gabriel Boulevard. I have been RPG'ing since I was 13 and still think it is fun. This will be a classic game with a outdoor area, a maze, and then an arena.
Not long ago I had an opportunity to join a 15th level game (there was a location problem). My design was a Half-Orc Fighter with Shield Master and Greater Cleave (and also Run). With a Heavy Spiked Shield and a Kukri could this be considered two independent chain-series or one which could then redouble? And also as opportunity were to arise could the inactive (if so) weapon be used? Naturaly at a certain point normal melee would resume as some gets splattered, but after how long?
I have found the perfect spot and I am thinking Sunday or Monday night. Perfect for you if you have never played an RPG before. We will start from scratch. Message me back and check this thread for news. (Experienced players also welcome)
I just moved bac to LA and haven't found many hobby shops or message boards. Since any new game will be level 1 I am not worried about finding experienced gamers. There are only a few million people here! Anybody know where to click? |
