Hello everyone,

Ngara is a level 3 sorcerer spirit naga. I think only the three sorcerer levels acquired by her should be counted toward her fey bloodline and then she should not:

  • be able to use fleeting glance (level 9 power).
  • have bonus bloodline spells of spell levels 5, 7 and 9.
The 7th sorcerer level bonus feat does not seem to be added so there is no need to take it out.

Am I right?

Hi all,

After several long months of work, here I come to introduce my creation. My Hero! is an app for tablets and smartphones which allows you to manage automatically and comprehensively all your PFRPG characters. This is far more than a simple character sheet. Forget all the calculations because the app takes care of them, without mistakes. Stop losing your time in all your sheets: everything is in your device.

Let me list the app features right below:

Quote:
  • Languages : English and French.
  • OS : iOS and Android.
  • Automatic and Entirely Guided Character Creation (as well as leveling up). Every available options corresponding to your character’s class and level are proposed to you.
  • Automatic calculation of all your characters statistics in a very clear presentation close to the one used by the Bestiary.
  • Management of All your Characters, from the beginning to the end of their career.
  • Activation of Effects Affecting your Character. Effects is a general word to group things like spells, class features, combat modes, feats, conditions, afflictions, items abilities, etc. Your character’s statistics will be calculated as they should. This even works with complex effects like polymorph spells or antimagic zone.
  • Definition of Ten Attack Options - choose the weapon(s), the effect(s) to be added to it (magic weapon or holy weapon for example) and the combat mode to consider (arcane strike and/or power attack for example).
  • Complete Management of the Inventory. Buy one item for your character and the corresponding gold will be withdrawn from your saving. The inventory is managed with stores. Besides the base stores, you can define five of them and decide whether the weight of each of them is to be considered for your character encumbrance. Your character carries a bag of holding? Put the items in it in a store and indicate that the weight shouldn not be taken into account. Your character carries items which are owned by her group? Put thes items in a store which weight should be taken into account. If your group wishes, you can sell of these items with only one click. Mention the number of shares and the app will tell you the amount of gold gathered after this sell. This gold is already in your character’s belongings but you will be able to tell your friends how much they should add to theirs.
  • Definition of Creatures Called Allies whose statistics are available from the main view of your character. You can apply effects on your allies the same way you do it on your character. This feature is especially useful when summoning monsters. By the way, if you define an ally as a summoned creature and your character has the Augment Summoning feat then its statistics will be calculated as they should.
  • Hit Points Management.
  • Experience Points Management.
  • Spellbooks and Spell Lists Management.
  • Items Charges Management.
  • Features, Spells and Items Daily Uses Management.
  • Items Hit Points Management.
  • Familiar,Animal Companion and Mount Management (it is treated as an ally).
  • Sending of your Character Sheet by Email.
  • Basic Dice Launcher.
  • Optional Rule Management (Hero points, non-encumbrance, etc.)
  • A Combat Mode allowing you to define, round after round, the effects activated on your character as well as their duration. The effects will be deactivated as soon as their duration expires.
  • Figures: all the data from the Core Rulebook and the Bestiary are within My Hero!. Among other things, there are 11 classes, 5 NPC classes, 10 prestige classes, 7 races, 1500+ items, 190 feats, 655 spells, 500+ class features, 600+ monstres, 52 animal companions, 45 familiars, 500+ monster abilities.
Note: the Lite version of the app, which is free, provides all these features also. However, all the databases have been narrowed down and your character level is capped to 5. For example, only five races (dwarf, elf, gnome, half-elf and human) and four classes (barbarian, druid, paladin and sorcerer) are available.

Please provide any comment, suggestion or question regarding the app.

Enjoy your experience!

I have a few questions regarding the Soul Warden PrC described in the Undead Slayer's Handbook p 30:

  • The last sentence of the Spells per day entry speaks of "divine spellcasting class" whereas everywhere else the caster type is not mentioned. I guess it is an error but I would be glad to have the confirmation.
  • Channel Damage with a Cleric: if the character was a cleric, do channel energy and channel damage get their daily uses independantly? In this case do levels of Cleric and Soul Warden stack only when inflicting damage to undead with the channel energy ability and not with the channel damage ability?
  • Channel Damage with a Necromancer: the Power over Undead ability of a necromancer grants her a way to channel energy - do Necromancer levels and Soul Warden levels stack to determine the number of damage dice?

Let's say my character is using Form of the Dragon II to change into a dragon of size M. Is it exactly as if he had cast Form of the Dragon I or does he get DR for example?

Looking a little bit deeper in the cyclops stats (Bestiary p52) I have a couple of questions.

1. Weapon proficiency

Humanoid: "Proficient with all simple weapons, or by character class"

When a monster is proficient with the weapons it is carrying in its entry, it is mentioned in the corresponding type description as for fey for example ("Proficient with all simple weapons and any weapons mentioned in its entry").

Giant subtype: "A giant is a humanoid creature of great strength, usually of at least Large size. Giants have a number of racial Hit Dice and never substitute such Hit Dice for class levels like some humanoids. Giants have low-light vision, and treat Intimidate and Perception as class skills"

So there isn't anything giving Cyclops the ability to use a greataxe (martial) properly, am I right? Giants often use martial weapons so I guess something should be added to the corresponding subtype, but maybe there is something I don't see. Is it?

2. Skills

One more thing regarding cyclops - I count 17 skill points used when it should have 20.
- Intimidate : 7 (rk) + 3 (giants class skill) - 1 (Cha) = 9
- Perception : 0 (rk) + 8 (racial) + 2 (alertness) + 1 (Wis) = 11
- Profession (soothsayer) : 6 (rk) + 3 (humanoids class skill) + 1 (Wis) = 10
- Sense Motive : 2 (rk) + 2 (alertness) + 1 (Wis) = 5
- Survival : 2 (rk) + 3 (humanoids class skill) + 1 (Wis) = 6

Is it that Profession is no more a class skill for giants or is there something else I don't see?

Thanks

PCs can buy and carry dry firewood. It means that finding such wood should be difficult in the snowy forest (either in Taldor or Irrisen).

What should be the Survival DC to find such firewood in this kind of forest? What should be the Survival DC to start a fire without such firewood?
