That's correct. After falling below zero, I think I received a little healing from Variel then a potion from Thaddeus that brought me back to consciousness. Kwava gave me a potion that brought me up to 12 hp. Finally, I applied the healing from one night's sleep for 15 out of 27. Today a zap of electricity and a potion to undo most of that damage brings me to 14.

Bofur moves a little further back in the group while drawing out a potion of cure light wounds and drinks it.

Keeping his voice down, Bofur points out the various tracks. "We got a number of scalies congregatin' here. See the reptilian tail tracks? Add to that another elf. That's probably the one Kwava's lookin' for. And this here's Saul's old tracks. We ken forget them. All the tracks seem to head up to the north and around the bend. Kwava, anythin' more ye ken tell us about ye're quarry?"

Bofur spends some time searching the bottom of the pool for the left behinds of other unfortunate victims.

He then collects a couple of hefty chunks of fresh fish to use as barracuda bait, chopping them off himself if they aren't already hewn.

At Thaddeus' prompting, he examines the ground - stone, packed earth, sand? - for trails and tries to identify and track any he finds.

All those hours practicing trying to hit a moving target are paying off. Bofur loads another bolt and confidently trains the head on the remaining eel, waiting for his opportunity.

Bofur (who has an initiative modifier of +5) has waited at the top of the shaft to provide cover to his fellows (see post on previous page). He knows that shooting into the water is an exercise in futility, so he crouches in the shadow and readies an action to fire at the next one to come to the surface.

That's odd. I thought I posted the same thing, Thaddeus. But thanks for clearing it up. I'll gladly take a potion, as I have no other healing options now. And I'll hold onto the poisons.

We can sell the mwk battleaxe as well. That's 310gp. Outside of the two potions (which he may end up administering to us anyway), we didn't give Kwava a cut. If we set aside the previous NPC cut, that leaves 125.5gp. Let's make this easy and each take 20gp more and give the remaining 25.5gp to Kwava, who is an NPC with PC class levels. Any objections?

Before setting off, Bofur caresses the necklace and seems reluctant to relinquish it, but the argument to sell it is valid and he hands it over. He admires the battleaxe, which is well-made but does not speak to him.

After a moment to adjust, Bofur sees quite well down here. At the top of the pit, he takes a position to provide cover to the others as they descend, bringing up the rear. He stays outside the ring of light cast by the others' spells, torches, lanterns or other sources to provide better opportunities for stealth.

Bofur would like to take at least one of the vials of godlike unconsciousness. He also picks up another case of crossbow bolts and sharpens his brother's axe on a whetstone.

Bofur's eyes widen as he is literally engulfed by the larger man's embrace. "Uh-. Happy to help?" comes his muffled voice from within, his hairy hands patting the warrior comfortingly.

I expressed an interest in the leather armor, though the chain shirt would be equally interesting. Between the two, I'd prefer the lower ACP to the higher AC bonus, but if no one wants the chain shirt Bofur will choose that.
I'm not sure if the vials hold magical, alchemical or natural (e.g. poisonous) contents. After someone has checked they're not magical, I'll be happy to try to identify them, very cautiously.

Bofur spends a few moments checking out the jewelry. He enjoys the feel of the worked silver and platinum in his hands and the others might catch a glimpse of him smelling the metal. The material seems to interest him as much as the craftmanship.

Seeming to recall that belladonna is best picked at night and wolfsbane at morning, Bofur retires early and rises early to head out to the outskirts of town and find both.
Take 10 for Survival 17 and Perception 18
When he returns, looking somewhat better today for a wash and a night of rest, he waits until the group is all together. "There's a cuure for what's happened to Twitches. It won't maeke him any less twitchy, but it will stop his 'condition'." Bofur draws out the plants he has collected. "These are poisons when ingested and yeah, there's a chance that he won't survive the cure, but maybe we could help him by improvin' his constitution a bit beforehand."

He then goes over to Pigsaw to see what condition the boar is in now that the bond with its master is broken.

Thanks for the tips Thaddeus. I wasn't familiar with the slayer and it has some very attractive customization options. However, I really just wanted the rogue's trapfinding and disable and the sneak attack was a nice bonus. Unfortunately, the slayer doesn't have it. (Frownie face) I may take a second level for a rogue talent and to get evasion faster, but in fact I'm enjoying the ranger path.

The corridor isn't ideal for Bofur and Kwava, with their bows. Bofur calls back to the other ranger-y type, "Ye got anythin' to take the boar out of commission, Kwava? Not sure it ken be saved at this point."
He readies a shot at either foe if one loses cover.

Bofur raises his crossbow, anxious to bury a bolt in the scoundrel's eye socket. "Not so fast, scumbucket. Ye're life ain't worth much, but I think it's worth a wee more than that. If ye knew who he was meetin', ye knew why he was givin' this Depora all that money. Enough money to drive the casino nearly out of business. And I bet ye know what the stink's about, don't ye? Stink seems like somethin' right up ye're alley."

We're not unreasonable, Bojask. How about ye tell us the kind of information that'll tempt us to let you live? Bofur makes sure the cellar-dweller can see the giant key in his hand which was once Saul's (hand).

Pre-cellar: Bofur would gladly change into the leather armor if no one else wants it. It wouldn't improve his AC but the lower penalty would improve his skills.

Bofurs eyes open and uncross and he rises unsteadily. "What? Where? Oh, yeah." He looks around at the carnage and smiles in satisfaction at Saul's dismembered body. He figures he's been out for a few minutes, if they've already looted the fallen, which prompts him to examine his own belongings. The proximity of Kwava with an empty phiol tips him off to why he's conscious and he places on hand on the kneeling elf's arm. "Ye have my thanks, ranger."

After Kwava's revelation, Bofur adds, "Bring that big ol' key. I've searched the upstairs pretty thoroughly and I didn't find no locks that size. If there is one, it's hidden below where I haven't looked. Shame Saul won't be tellin' us his secrets now, traitorous scum. Speakin' of below, did that bastard Bojask fall in the fight? I didn't see him."

He rises, checks that his weapons are in working order, and polishes his brother's axe. "Torag's nutsack! What happened to ye, Mutt? Ye've got static something fierce!"

The wind rustles the needles on the pine trees that hug the side of the mountain. Bofur watches in admiration as a bird of prey spreads its massive wings and dives elegantly downward, only to rise with a rabbit crushed within its talons. The sun reflects off the river meandering through the valley below. Then his attention returns to the task at hand; tracking his elder brother, who has gone off with friends in search of adventure and may not return for days.

His eyes go wide in shock that their thick-fingered former employer could move so lethally. He strikes out in self-defense, glancing his brother's axe off the fool's skull. For a split second, he fears he has failed to notice another henchman, when suddenly he realizes the crook's rapier has gone between his ribs. His lips move, forming soundless words as blood erupts from between them and he collapses to his knees and then the floor.

A few seconds later, the outer wound knits itself together at Variel's touch. It will hold if nothing reopens it.

Risking the chance that Twitches might hit him, Bofur moves past him into the dining room, calling "'ere Saulie, Saulie, 'ere Saulie." Assuming key-for-hands isn't spotted, he moves toward the far chamber.
Not sure what 29 is
If the door is open, he'll look inside. Otherwise, he'll open it (entering next round if feasible).

He then hauls off and takes a swing at Hans.

That's not very nice. There is NO "Beyar" in my lineage. In dwarven, Beyar, depending on how you say it, means 'he whose babymakers have shriveled to the point that you can fire them through a pea shooter and they still won't have an impact worth mentioning." Yes, dwarven is a very precise tonal language and has a large vocabulary.

Ticked off to see Larur alive and well and working for Saul in secret after all the grief he felt over the dwarf's loss, Bofur steps in front of the door to the office, letting his crossbow drop and drawing his axe.
"You'll have to get through me first, you two-timing, death-faking pile of cow dung!"
For good measure, he swings his brother's battleaxe doublehandedly at the dwarf.
