About Blue, N.K.A.

Background:
Blue does not remember anything before the Silo. His earliest memory is as one of a dozen other boys between the ages of 11 and 13; though he does not know what his actual age is. He does not even know his own name. What he does remember is the experimentation and the pain.
Blue was an elf before the experiments, but he is unsure if he still qualifies as one now. His DNA was examined, taken apart, and recombined with bits of things not remotely human. His hair is now a color no normal elf has ever had; a bright, cobalt Blue. His eyes are the same shade, but have slit pupils, and his arms, legs, spine and around his hairline are all accented with fine Blue scales. His body rebelled against the tampering. He remembers waking up with blood seeping out of every pore. He remembers drug-induced hallucinations, and surgeries performed with nothing to numb the pain while a paralytic toxin held him immobile.
One by one the other subjects were exposed to genetic treatments that left them unviable, and they were culled or died.
After two years, there were only four of the original twelve boys in Blue’s group left. The boys were then introduced to the members of their corresponding female group; six of the girls remained. The subjects were required to group with one or more of the others, and they were instructed in and expected to perform sexual activities. Six months later, the groups were separated once more.
BTLs were introduced, and many times the BTLs were recorded from the perspective of one of the other test subjects. Finally, BTLs of magic users were introduced with wildly positive results. Nearly every subject of both groups displayed some amount of magical talent once they had ‘experienced using magic themselves’. The boys and girls were mixed again, and ‘relations’ were encouraged. During this time, those subjects that showed some amount of magical talent were taken one at a time, and were never heard from again. A few boys and girls from other successful groups were added until they numbered seventeen.
That was when the Morrigan came to Blue. He had not shown any signs of talent or ‘Awakening’, and he expected to be culled at any time. One night, he had dreams of a raven, of being a raven, and of death and blood. When he woke, it was late at night, and it was dark. Only a few of the emergency lights were on, doors were broken and scorched, and the Silo was silent. Blue’s hands were covered in blood, as was the lower half of his face, and he could taste it in his mouth. The other teenagers woke as well, afraid and uncertain, with three of their number missing, their keepers all dead, and a huge amount of damage done to the facility. As the survivors of the Silo talked, cried, tried to decide on a plan, and tried to figure out why Blue was covered in blood, Blue heard a woman’s voice he had never heard. The woman told him to follow her if he did not want to die there. At that moment a computer voice echoed brokenly through the Silo, speaking of breaches and containment.
A flicker of motion like a bird flitting by caught Blue’s eye and he knew somehow that it was the woman he had heard. Yelling at the others to follow, he dashed out through the shattered door. With the strange computer voice fitfully talking about containment, breaches, and a countdown, Blue led the others through the wrecked facility following the woman’s voice and glimpses of a large, black bird.
Fourteen teenagers stumbled out of the base of what appeared to be a farm silo into a cool morning in the countryside of the Sioux Nation (formerly eastern Nebraska). A farmhouse blazed merrily into the morning sky nearby and a small contingent of Sioux military forces led by a man wearing a ritual mask stood calmly a short distance away.
Jonathan Winter Raven of the False Face Society had led the Sioux military to this clandestine research facility to help the survivors. He never explained how he knew that it was here, or that the teenaged research subjects would be emerging, but the military forces simply neutralized the “farmers” (read: corporate special forces) and waited.
The False Face Society, as is their M.O., took charge of the survivors. They were protected, counseled, taught, and helped to come to terms with their ordeal and with their freedom. Many of the survivors remained in Sioux territory, but six could not let the past lie.
Forming an exclusive magical group and calling themselves The Farm, the six moved to Seattle with some help from the False Face Society. Though the parting was friendly, the False Faces let it be clearly understood by the Farm that they were not to return to the Sioux Nation until they could set aside their past. All of the six operate as Shadowrunners, sometimes working together but usually working with other teams.
For a couple of years, Blue ran with Derek and the others, and things were good. Successful runs meant good money, and good street cred meant respect. The trail of the Silo was cold like an Antarctic winter, but otherwise, life was pretty decent. But Blue finally stumbled into the secret of Derek’s BTL habit. He gave Derek an ultimatum, but as usually happens, the user chose the drugs. Unable to deal with the horrific memories of his past being dragged out of their comfy, dark hole, Blue said goodbye to his friends.
In the years since, he has worked with some of his old team here and there, and he has run with other teams, but nothing really steady. He spent nearly all of his savings chasing leads relating to the Silo and supporting himself and the other Farmers.
And now Derek is asking for help again. Blue could use a good run; his cred is almost all gone after his last windfall. It has been a good weekend with the other Farmers, but the dust falling out of his wallet says maybe he can handle working with Derek just one more time.

Description:
Blue is an Elf of fairly average size, though his features are rather striking. He is usually seen in casual clothing in good repair and a long leather duster. He often has a shotgun near to hand.
His most striking features are all related to his name. His hair and eyes are a bright cobalt blue. His hair is thicker than normal hair and has a harder texture to it almost like softened horn. His eyes are slit like a cat's or dragon's eyes. Finally, he has fine scales the same color as his hair and eyes around his hairline, down his spine, on the backs of his arms, and in other places where a normal metahuman might have thicker skin such as knuckles and knees.

When Terri Awakened, Blue was passing by the darkened alley. Terri's magic came to her in fire and blood, and the men who had been stalking her were left broken and torn on the ground. Blue helped her come to terms with what was happening to her, with what she did, and with her family's reaction to her new power. Her parents wanted nothing to do with one of the 'Godless Dabblers In What They Should Not Be Dabbling In'. Since she did not have the temperament to run in the shadows, Blue gave her a quiet place to stay and helped her to get enough medical training to land a job with DocWagon.

James "Jimmy the Fist" Federici (minor mafia consiglieri/fixer) (2, 2)

Jimm the Fist is a minor Mafia underboss to whom Blue owes money. Knowing Blue's talents, Jimmy is often willing to forgive a month's payment and interest accrual to secure the spellcasting and summoning talents of the young shaman. Jimmy also allows Blue to use his connections to sell and purchase goods that are .. less than legal.
