Magnus Rathschild is the bastard son of Maxwell Rathschild. Considered his "Unofficial son" Maxwell continues to refuse to answer questions about the night Magnus was brought in. Even with his class being already understated compared to his half brothers and sisters, Magnus was given every opportunity that a Rathschild should have.

Magnus was not violent by nature, but because of his one tutor, Ms. Chin, who continuously beat him until finally he and his giant physique lashed back at her, hitting her so hard she had to get reconstructive surgery to her face.

After that Magnus was never again afraid to use his strength to get his way. He ignored most of his tutoring from then, even though despite his resistance, some of the knowledge sunk in, especially language which for some reason he picked up rather quickly.

He attended Oxford college, where he became boxing champion in the "extreme" weight class. Despite this, he was forced to drop out. This was the last straw for Maxwell, who finally cut him off completely.

Not willing to live any other type of lifestyle, Magnus quickly turned to crime, where he moved to Seattle and first became a club bouncer and very quickly rose to club enforcer. It was from here that he got involved in Shadowrunning circles, where his massive stockpile of weapons and his gigantic physique were shown to be extremely useful for any circumstance involving somebody getting hurt.
