When doing so, he may make on additional attack, taking a -2 penalty on all of his attack rolls, as if using the Two-Weapon Fighting feat. These attacks can be any combination of unarmed strikes and attacks with a monk special weapon (he does not need to use two weapons to use this ability). For the purpose of these attacks, the monk's base attack bonus from his monk class levels is equal to his monk level. For all other purposes, such as qualifying for a feat or a prestige class, the monk uses his normal base attack bonus. Unarmed Strike: At 1st level, a monk gains Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat. A monk's attacks may be with fist, elbows, knees, and feet. This means that a monk may make unarmed strikes with his hands full. There is no such thing as an off-hand attack for a monk striking unarmed. Stunning Fist (Ex): At 1st level, the monk gains Stunning Fist as a bonus feat, even if he does not meet the prerequisites. Evasion (Ex): At 2nd level or higher, a monk can avoid damage from many area-effect attacks. If a monk makes a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, he instead takes no damage. Evasion can be used only if a monk is wearing light armor or no armor. Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A fighter is proficient with all simple and martial weapons and with all armor (heavy, light, and medium) and shields (including tower shields). Bonus Feats: At 1st level, and at every even level thereafter, a fighter gains a bonus feat in addition to those gained from normal advancement (meaning that the fighter gains a feat at every level). These bonus feats must be selected from those listed as combat feats, sometimes also called “fighter bonus feats.” Shattering Strike (Ex): At 2nd level, a two-handed fighter gains a +1 bonus to CMB and CMD on sunder attempts and on damage rolls made against objects. These bonuses increase by +1 for every four levels beyond 2nd. This ability replaces bravery. Overhand Chop (Ex): At 3rd level, when a two-handed fighter makes a single attack (with the attack action or a charge) with a two-handed weapon, he adds double his Strength bonus on damage rolls. planning straight Hellknight prestige class (already accepted in the Order of the Gate) Background Bjorn, born as second son of an old noble house, was left in adoption to a monastery at the Menador Mountains. It has been a tradition among the Picaltro family that, in order to avoid any dispute about the legacy, only one child is raised as the family heir, while the second must be given in adoption, just in case the first have some ill fate, but never giving acknowledgment of it. Raised in a very strict behavior code and secluded place, Bjorn grew as a righteous person, with a very strong will, though lacking the love and care of a true family, he become somewhat sullen. Since child was taught to fight barehanded, and to train his physical qualities as well his mental abilities, under the ideals of Asmodeus philosophy. Once Bjorn attained the age to become a man, he was asked to choose between a life of seclusion and meditation, or to become an apprentice of the hellknights, training in one of his strongholds. Bjorn decided to go to the nearest place, a Hellknight's redoubt known as Citadel Enferac in the western Menador Mountains, lead by The Order of The Gate. Bjorn was specting more strict training, and indeed he had it, but with a brutality that would kill anyone without his physical and mental preparation, and that was just the initiation, the real test will be the day he becomes worthy of the tittle "Hellknight". Bjorn fellow armigers stand all around , filed up in rank, by company then platoon then squad. There is no movement, no rustle of cloth or clink of metal. Bjorn discipline is unflinching. Many would find it difficult to tell if you were breathing or not. Before you is the area called the Pit, the final testing place of your discipline. Bjorn have seen many former comrades fall. Due to weakness in body, suffering from exhaustion and fatigue. Due to weakness in mind, unable to remember the complex maze of rules and regulations that dominate your life. Due to weakness in spirit, unable to cope with the constant oppression and hazing. Less than half of those who started on this path with Bjorn a year ago now are still here. But he is left. The rest of the Order files in, everyone not on duty here to watch this last trial. To anyone else, the row upon row of faceless armored figures would have been a sight of terror. But Bjorn have moved beyond such places. He barely notice them. Finally, the Vicarius stands, his iron mask sweeping across you, leaving a quiet discomfort. With dispassionate voice and movement he gestures to a signifier, who hisses quietly and calls into Hell. A portal opens and out steps a barbazu, a bearded devil. Thick armor covers a mishmash of skin and scale and fur and spines. The devil snorts, its beard quivering, and grips its glaive.
The young man steps out of line, crisply saluting the Vicarius. Torchia returns his salute and Bjorn fellow armiger draws his blade and steps down into the Pit. The devil focuses on the man, hunching down and holding its glaive in guard. They face each other for a brief moment, emotionless brown eyes gazing into malicious red. A gong is struck and the two rush towards each other. Amar is more graceful than many of his fellow companions, being one of the few non magic users. He spins quickly, blade held parallel with his body, sliding by the devils thrust. He breaks through its guard, scoring a deep gash in the devils hide. But it does him no good. The devil drops his glaive and grabs the smaller man, claws sinking deep into his shoulders. The armigers expression never changes, no flicker of fear crosses his features. Just a briefly lived look of sorrow and regret. The devils beard lashes out, sinking into his face. Amar screams then, from the pain, and the devil throws him down, picking up its glaive. Amar struggles to his feet, blood running down his face. The polearm swings, and the first of your brothers falls. The devil roars in triumph, raising the bloody weapon above its head. It then grabs the body and head, throwing the corpse over its shoulder and turning back to the portal. It disappears, back to the third layer of Hell, and another steps out to take its place.
Bjorn steps up and salutes the Vicarius, and continue walking unto the pit, drawing a plain greatsword and swinging in a predetermined pattern, as a salute to all his squad. His mind clear of any distraction, as this is an individual test, the others triumph or failure are not to help or hinder his options.
"-Kom helvete, derfor tilhøre ham!!-" (come hell, since I belong to you) The devil grins and charges, bounding on inhumanly powerful legs and lashing out with its glaive. The blade pierces Bjorn side, crunching through armor and skin and muscle. It then rips the jagged blade out violently, a rush of his blood following it.
-Foolish mortal. What hope have thee?- It whispers telepathically in Bjorn mind, tossing its glaive aside and ripping into him with its claws. Fortunately his armor protects him from the blows, infernal talons screeching across the metal. Ignoring the devil's taunt, Bjorn gathers all his strength and swings his blade in a wide half moon trying to split his rival in half. -If subtle tactics aren't effective, I'll try with raw strength- thinks Bjorn. The devil takes the hit and snarls, once again trying to claw at Bjorn, but taking advantage of the initial inertia of the sword, Bjorn spins it quickly over his head and unleashes another lethal blow. The devil shudders from the hit, hunching over and grabbing its shoulder. It quickly disengages and runs over to its previously discarded glaive. It hisses something in infernal and gestures with its claws. Bjorn sees the opportunity to hit the devil again -its all or nothing- so, he charges against the barbed devil with full strength, crushing some of the devil's arm bones with the impact. But then, in the middle of the arena, another nearly identical bearded devil appears, roaring at you. The tension in the room rises. All can see that the devil is almost finished, but with Bjorn hobbling and the summoned ally fresh and ready to go it's still unclear who will emerge victorious.
Bjorn charges, shaking off the pain and fatigue of battle, shouldering past the summoned devil and focusing solely on his target, like a true Hellknight would. The devil sees him coming and raises a paltry defense, but it is futile. Bjorn's massive sword cleaves through the haft of the raised glaive and continues on, passing through the devils neck as if it's not even there. The summoned devil charging up behind you disappears mid-swing, back to the Hell it was summoned from.
“-GRAOOWWWWRRRRR!!-” The Pit goes wild, Hellknights screaming and slamming gauntleted fists against armored chests and stomping the floor. The normally stoic figures all revel in this one moment of celebration. They have a new brother.
