Ben Avery was born and raised in Sandpoint, along with his brother, Elliot. Elliot and Benjamin both joined the Sandpoint Watch under Belor Hemlock, but after the troubles with the Thistletop goblins Benjamin decided to transfer to a safer line of work. He now works at the Sandpoint Sawmill, pushing lumber through the millworks. He is a soft-spoken man, not terribly intelligent, but strong and humble. He has been maintaining a quiet relationship with Katherine Vinder for several months.
