I am looking at creating a zen archer If I take the trait magical talent which gives me a level 0 spell once per day as a spell like ability is this considered the same as the ability to cast arcane spells for arcane strike. I don't really want to take 1 level of sorcerer just for the ability. I find the ruling for ki pool only applying to unarmed for zen archer a bit dumb as the monk is focused on the bow.
I am gming a 7th level game I have a first level character I am applying the gm pont to. I have a couple of questions I know I cannot apply the gold or items to my first level character and need to wait until level 7 to access them (Real bummer as I want to purchase one item from the list mostly for rp purpose figurine of wondrous power-silver raven Described in module as a hawk for my vigilante Sparrowhawk) can I still apply the xp and prestige points and get the money when I hit level 7 if i can't I can wait but if it becomes a habit of me having to wait before applying gm scores from higher tier games i could literally jump 2-3 levels at a time and miss whole sections with this character.

after two sessions I find that the character is a pretty good. I feel that for a fighter based class the small talent pool is very limited. the avenger and possibly the other specializations should receive a bonus feat related to their specialty combat, metamagic, faith, feat etc. Dual Identity. I find the dual identity useful in only very minor situations and very difficult to roleplay especially in pathfinder society. I have my social identity running only at the very beginning of the game though I use the social identity for more interaction with nobles and courts more than anything. The social is the talker the vigilante is the action man. if the change identity were perhaps a little faster I might consider using it more. dual identity should gradually accelerate with successive levels changing from social to vigilante during a fight would take the character out of the fight. One item I would like to see is the weapon/object based vigilante The character starts out with one object that provides his abilities and powers.
I would like to use a shillelagh with my vigilante character basically he is a cane fighter. i have a question about the weapon finesse rule. weapon finesse applies to light weapons shillelagh or blackthorn cane falls technically into clubs. but a club is weighted different then a cane. much larger head and body light maces specifically say metal head and/or body. IRL the techniques for a rapier and cane are very similar. However we have a rules lawyer in the group who likes to shut players down over technicalities. as this is for PFS I can't simply create a new weapon. so i don't know what to call it.
I am getting ready to run a warlock vigilante in PFS and plan to run a fire based warlock. I have a question about researching spells I want to research converting acid splash and ray of frost. making fire pellet and ray of heat Everything the same except the energy type will be fire based. How much should the spell cost to research. the book says 1000gp/level but a level 1 spell cost 1000 to research what would a level 0 spell cost? $500? I am assuming a warlock can not take the admixture school Plan for character level 0 spells
