About Belneiros Veloren
Description
Belneiros Veloren is a ruggedly handsome man with strong features and a friendly appearance. He carries a small short beard and has close-cut hair both in an ash grey blonde color. Over a sharp nose sits a pair of hazel eyes, perhaps not quick but certainly quite friendly. Standing a little over 6 ft. he is a tall man, broad and well-built for fighting. If one observes him he has a limp on his left leg that gives him a swaying gait when he hurries, otherwise he walks normally at a rather slow tranquil pace that he uses to keep the appearance that nothing is wrong with him. Belneiros is a practical man and is usually seen either in the armor of the Ghaele with a green overcoat or in more casual hunting gear that suits him well.
Background
He used to be a scrawny little wimp but grew, especially during his years as a squire to Ser Thomas Cowden, into a stout and reliable man. He has, like most of his generation, seen battle during the rebellion and fought with the Cowden’s first at the Battle of Ashford and later with Mace’s forces at Storm’s End. Though never the greatest of warriors he always acquitted himself well and is considered experienced and skilled. He was knighted at Storm’s End, but Ser Thomas Cowden had little land as a landed knight himself. Remaining with House Cowden for a few years, they did not participated in the Greyjoy’s Rebellion, which infuriated Belneiros causing him to leave House Cowden for better fortunes and future.
Belneiros was not a hedge knight, but a sworn sword in look for a lord to serve, and in those many wonderings found himself at the Goodby Knoll after hearing the call to war from Lord Tyrick. He was hired as a sworn sword to fight for House Ghaele and acquitted himself well, taking a spear to the leg for Lord Tyrick which earned him a permanent position as a household knight to his liege lord. He is currently serving at Goodby Knoll. He has taken interest in the young lordling of House Ghaele with whom he gets along well enough, and at behest of Lord Tyrick he keeps an eye on him and accompanies him in his travels. While Belneiros is loyal to his liege lord he seeks power to raise his own banner and lands that come with it.
Ser Belneiros Veloren is the quick witted household knight of the Ghaele who have served with House Ghaele since the Harrowing of Rylls, were he fought alongside Lord Tyrick earning him a place in his household. A man of considerable wit and an easy friendliness he is the friend of most, always with some fresh tale of valor to recount, though they are rarely of any substance.
