I don't think that works, because Weapon Finesse expressly says that it replaces your strength modifier on attack rolls.

Hand of the Acolyte (Su): You can cause your melee weapon to fly from your grasp and strike a foe before instantly returning. As a standard action, you can make a single attack using a melee weapon at a range of 30 feet. This attack is treated as a ranged attack with a thrown weapon, except that you add your Wisdom modifier to the attack roll instead of your Dexterity modifier (damage still relies on Strength). This ability cannot be used to perform a combat maneuver. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

How does this not count as an attack? Also as an unchained rogue, I'd have finesse training so I get my dexterity modifier instead of strength on damage rolls with my specific finesse weapon.

Can I combine the feat Weapon Finesse and Hand of the Acolyte blessing from a Warpriest to have my rapier fly out of my hands and use my dexterity modifier and wisdom modifier?

I want the Ranzak mask thing.

Will the online Pathfinder MMORPG work natively in Linux? I'd love to get in on this kickstarter project but if it doesn't work in Linux then I'll never be able to play the game. Yes there is Wine/Cedega/Crossover but that emulates Windows and games don't always run correctly in it.

Liking it so far. The vicious claws looks evil and great.

I tested this out last night. I was able to create a humanoid (0 RP) small race (0 RP) that had 20 ft movement (-1 RP), xenophobic language array (0 RP), with a Greater Paragon Ability (-1 RP).

This gave me a +4 ability, -2 physical, & -2 mental. For the sake of this post it was a +4 Str, -2 Dex, & -2 Cha. This left me with 12 RP to spend to make a race that had a total of 10 RP and have no level adjustment. According to the new rules you can't pick more then 3 abilities from any individual category. I chose to take 3x Advanced Strength (12 RP total).

This gave the new small race in total a +10 Str, -2 Dex, -2 Cha while only sacrificing 10 ft. of movement. Seems kinda broken to me to begin play with a +10 to an ability score at first level.

Advanced abilities can't be chosen for a standard race. This makes your race build invalid.

Where does it say that you can't? I just read the Advanced Strength and there was no prerequisites for it. If you can point it out I will stand corrected otherwise this is a legal build.

*Edit: I stand corrected. I had to re-read the intro for the racial abilities and say that where it said Standard races can only pick from standard abilities. That means Advanced abilities are only for Advanced and Monstrous even though it says no prerequisites.

I know that while it's allowed rules wise for campaigns, I am curious if that's the case here in Golorian. I know as the DM I could just rule against it and be a tight ass. But the fact is I'd prefer some back up. Thank you.

Clerics in Golarion must select a patron deity.

Oracles are the class that primarily fills the role of a divine spellcaster who doesn't serve a specific deity.

That's all I needed James! :) Thank you!

I quote from the Cleric entry in the Core Rulebook

Quote:
As their powers are influenced by their faith, all clerics must focus their worship upon a divine source. While the vast majority of clerics revere a specific deity, a small number dedicate themselves to a divine concept worthy of devotion—such as battle, death, justice, or knowledge—free of a deific abstraction. (Work with your GM if you prefer this path to selecting a specific deity.)

http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/classes/cleric.html#cleric

I can be a Cleric with no deity. I don't get a favored weapon and based off of my choice of philosophy (the protection of friends and family) the domains are decided by the DM.

James if you don't agree with this statement, then you are disagreeing with the book you helped make. And if this is the case then there needs to be an official errata.

Nightfall, stop fighting me on this and accept the rules written in the book or wait for an official errata to change this.

Nope.

It'll happen when and if we reprint, and we have plenty in stock right now.

As much as I can appreciate you all coming out with Ultimate Combat, The Beginner Box, Adventure Paths, Modules, Companions, etc., the FAQ & Errata is absolutely critical. This should have the same priority as all your other products. You guys have been putting it off for a while now and it is time that this be given real work time. Supporting previous products is important to keeping subscribers, bringing in new subscribers, and over-all business.

I truly hope that you all will give the FAQ & Errata the time and work that it needs. Do keep up the good work but never forget that we customers are looking for these things all the time.

All of them are core. If you don't buy all of them, you're a bad customer. Alternatively, you can note that we've only put the word "core" on one book, which would indicate that THAT one book is the one we consider "core." In games I run, I treat the Core Rulebook, the Inner Sea World Guide, both bestiaries, and the GameMastery Guide as the core books. For Adventure Paths and other products, we generally assume a GM has access to ALL our hardcovers. We put enough in there so you can fake it if you don't have things like the APG or the like, but you really do need the Core Rulebook and both Bestiaries to run APs these days. Or printouts from the PRD of all the relevant monster stats you'll need if you want to go the more portable, less expensive route.

I'll pass on the missing blackwing host info.

I guess what I'm really asking is for the d20pfsrd. A discussion has arison on what is "Core" and what is "Non-Core". Some people say all books like Core Rulebook, Gamemastery Guide, Bestiaries, APG, UM, etc. are "Core" whereas the Adventure Paths, Chronicles, Companions, etc. are not. There are others that say only Bestiary I and Core Rulebook are "Core" and the rest aren't since in the Adventure Paths if a monster is mentioned from Bestiary II then a full stat box is listed as well meaning you don't need the book.

I personally own all the books in the Roleplaying Game Subscription, some Companions, all Adventure Paths, and the Inner Sea World Guide and consider everything Paizo to be "Core" since it is all one world. Just trying to get an opinion from a Paizo person on this that might help the discussion one way or the other.

What books are considered "Core"? Like is it just Bestiary I and Core Rulebook or is it all books in the Roleplaying Game Subscription (Core, Bestiary I/II, GMG, APG, UM, etc.)?

Lastly I don't know where to put this but the 4th level spell in Ultimate Magic listed in Cave Domain on page 34 "Blackwing Host" doesn't exist in chapter 5 of the book. If you can pass this on to the errata people and let me know what spell replaces this or what this unknown spell does would be awesome.

Errata Alert

The spell "Blackwing Host" located under the Cave Domain for Druids does not exist in chapter 5. What spell should this be? It's a 4th level spell. Reference for Blackwing Host found on page 34.
