About Baron Praxus

Appearance: Baron Praxus is a huge, muscular man, 6’4” tall, 210 lbs., with pale skin, green eyes and dark brown hair. He wears a tattered and faded red cloak over his well-used chain shirt, a grimacing orcish helm on his head, and wields a bastard sword and battered iron tower shield.

Baron Praxus is a hard-fightin’, hard-lovin’, hard-drinkin’ man, in that order. He doesn’t speak much of his past, and is often given to dark, brooding moods. In battle, his grim silence can be intimidating when contrasted with the battle cries and shouts of other warriors. He will work for whomever has the gold, but he feels beholden to no man. He bases his actions upon what seems to be a good idea at the time.

Background

Spoiler:

Born and bred in Isger during the Goblinsblood Wars, the son of a simple peasant family, the young man who would become known as Baron Praxus barely avoided slavery or death when his family was killed by marauding orcs and goblins. He survived by hiding behind a fallen orcish shield, and later made his way to freedom after killing two orc guards with his bare hands. He found work as a shield bearer on a Chelaxian caravan, and took the nom de guerre Baron Praxus. As he grew older, he traveled along the northern coast of the Inner Sea, from Taldor to Cheliax, training relentlessly with the heavy bastard sword and tower shield until his body was honed into a mighty weapon. Recently returned to Isger, Baron Praxus works as a mercenary for hire, perhaps to carve out his own fortune on the lawless frontier there.
