I'm theorycrafting for my next character, mostly because I'm trying to push myself to play something other than a divine caster while still trying to find something I would like to play and avoiding my crutch of spellcasting. Hitting hard is always nice, but I like being able to do more than just hit, I like playing a party face, and I've started loving status conditions.

The build I want is a Cavalier Huntmaster (or Samurai Sword Saint) with the Order of the Cockatrice cross classed with a Rogue with the Thug archetype. Levels go as follows:
1-Cavalier
2-Cavalier
3-Rogue
4-Rogue
5-Rogue
6 and up- Cavalier

This gives me Dazzling Display with extra rounds and the ability to sicken foes. If I become a Huntmaster, my animal can dirty trick as well for more debuffing. I know I probably want Power Attack for Cornugon Smash, but what other feats would you take? What race would you recommend? I was thinking Human for more feats or Half Elf so I can get Dual Minded to shore up my will save. If I go Huntmaster, I also probably need to pick up Boon Companion. Ideas? Feat suggestions? Is Huntmaster or Sword Saint better for this build?

My friend is starting a game soon (homebrew, not PFS), and I am playing an Oracle of Nature with the Bonded Mount revelation to get a horse. I am dead set on playing an Oracle. We are starting at level 1, and after talking to my GM and working stuff out, my back story for my character is that he was a stable hand. Our initial encounter will be the inn he is working at getting attacked and burning down. His bonded mount is the former mount/animal companion of a nameless adventurer who will ad hoc die in the battle and the horse will adopt me in the aftermath. My mystical powers will awaken, the party will meet in the wreckage, blah, blah, blah, adventure time.

In the spirit of my character being basically a commoner who suddenly got powers and a super cool horse, I am trying to go whole hog into making the horse awesome. After researching, I really want the Aasimar favored class bonus to add 1/2 my level to determine my effective level for one of my Revelations (meaning every two of my levels, my horse goes up another level), and I want the Huntmaster feat to give me another +1 level on my mount, meaning that I need to be a Scion of Humanity Aasimar or a Human with Racial Heritage: Aasimar (if that even works to get the favored class bonus).

This is further complicated, because if at all possible, I want the Eye for Talent alternate racial feature from Human to give the horse a +2 stat, but that leaves me feat starved and unable to get Huntmaster at level 1 because my level 1 Human feat slots will got to Racial Heritage and Eye for Talent.

So, basically, my two options are:
1) Aasimar Scion of Humanity with Huntmaster as my level 1 feat and all favored class bonuses going into my mount's levels.
Pros: Level 4 mount at my level 2, spell like abilities
Cons: Lower STR on my horse
2) Human with Eye for Talent and Racial Heritage: Aasimar as my level 1 feats and all favored class bonuses being treated as Aasimar favored class bonuses and going into my mount's levels.
Pros: Flavor since my character is more mundane and higher STR on
the horse.
Cons: Feat starved and the horse ends up lower level since I have to
wait until level 3 to get Huntmaster.

Ideas? Suggestions? Feats/spells/abilities I should pick up? I have Celestial Servant and Mounted Combat on my short list, Mounted Combat mostly so I can negate attacks for free on my party's frontline fighter since the only other player is playing a Magus, Pact Mage, or Alchemist.

I'm playing a Human Oracle of Nature with a horse as my Bonded Mount. I swapped out my level one human feat for the Eye For Talent alternate human racial ability, so the horse is a STR 18 beast at level 1. I'm playing a support caster, basically casting some buffs, wading into melee, giving people flanking bonuses, and hitting things with a morningstar.

My GM said we could pick one trait, and he assigned us another based on the region of his world our characters grew up in (I got Savannah Child). My character's backstory disallows the Adopted trait (meaning I can't pick up racial traits for non-humans), and we're not in Golarion, meaning the deity specific traits are out. What are some ideas for good traits? I'm considering Reactionary for the +2 initiative and the various traits to give +1 on saves, but I feel that I'm missing something awesome somewhere. Please help.

My buddy is running a game for another friend and I, meaning that there are going to be two PCs in the party. The other player is waffling between playing a Magus and an Alchemist (although he's probably going to wind up in a more meelee role with either choice), and I have pretty much decided on an Oracle of Nature, because I love divine casters, and Oracle is pretty resilient. We're not min-maxing to the extreme or anything, but I want to see if you all think my build is pretty good.

Stats were generated by heroic dice roll (2d6+6), and are:
STR: 14
DEX: 13
CON: 14
INT: 12
WIS: 11
CHA: 18 (16+2 from being human)

My level one Revelation is Bonded Mount for a horse
I'm taking the Human alternate racial ability Eye for Talent to give the horse +2 strength, and the horse is going to be the party's front line in combat and is taking Multiattack at level 1. I'm going to wade in a bit and provide flanking bonuses so the horse can kick people in the face easier, so I was thinking of taking Warrior Priest as my level 1 feat.

We also get two traits, one of which has to be a region trait, so I am taking Savannah Child to get a bonus on Handle Animal and make it a class skill so I can teach my mount tricks, but I'm not sure what my second trait should be.

Thoughts? Ideas? Better options? Ideas for the mount?
